Pff they can't even get episode titles... ;)

Kazzie, I'm happy to see your pic.  You're adorable!  However, if you're writing taping reports, you might not want TPTB to be able to connect the face with the report writer.  Just a concern; feel free to ignore if I'm worrying for nothing.

The sword was only missing for one scene ( the one where Penny styles Sheldon's hair and Amy walks in). In the next scene where Sheldon finds the geology book the sword is back on the wall. So I'm guessing it was simply a mistake. Unless we are supposed to believe that Penny planned to cut Sheldon's hair with it..

Looks like they just forgot to put it up for a scene as it was up on the wall on the show last night.

Bill has tweeted my account.. I think any chance of being under the radar are pretty slim..

....and I'm sure TPTB have been aware of the taping reports etc. If they were really that concerned about all the spoilers we get they probably would have done something by now right?

The only gripes I have heard is the audience selection company does not like the same people going to the tapings all the time. They cracked down on Roxanne of "The Big Bang BuzzCast" for going to the tapings each week three years ago and she honored their request.

The number of fans that read taping reports is a fraction of 1% of the viewing audience and the big industry media that could spread the information widely does a sort of self censor on giving out more than hints on coming events. Said media has to live with CBS and Warner Brothers and they build expectations rather than give out outright spoilers.

Question:  when Sheldon took off on the train, they had no idea how long he'd be gone, right?  He might be gone just a day for all they knew.  So why did Penny tell Leonard she knew they'd both miss him?

'Thank you for your keen insight, fellow Bozeite.

But to answer your question, while completely valid, I think it a way of telling the audience he will be gone until the premiere.

Miss! Miss! I know!

Wishful thinking. How long did Bozeman last, after all. :)

Yes there was no way for her to guess.

I am wondering if Sheldon will meet and spend time with the train guy he met in s7e15.

Poor, poor Sheldon riding the rails on the pre-1980 Pullman-built Superliner Deluxe passenger coach. (I'm assuming it's a Pullman since the only 2 times they showed him actually on a train were Pullmans.) The only thing in his life that hasn't changed! Query...how is Sheldon going to grow up if he stays in his last comfort zone?

I'm thinking not much will change with good old Shelly when he finally returns for the November sweeps. :)

They didn't give any sort of clue to how long he was gone. Sheldon didn't even know where he was going.

Leonard mentioned he didn't even have any clothes or bag or toothbrush with him. Sheldon pointed out he had a credit card so I guess he is planning to buy things along the way.

Sheldon seemed pretty calm but in shock at the same time during this scene, there was something different about it. Thinking about it wells me up!

And to add, when Amy was on the phone to him, there was no clue to where he was. But any said he sounded really good. Leonard also mentioned he was on a sabbatical from work.

I think he will be gone for the whole summer personally.

He'll be back by episode 3 at the latest. That gives the writers enough time to show how others are coping without him if thats what they want to show. And I think he will have been gone all summer. More impact on everyone that way, himself included that way any character development we see won't seem to be coming out of nowhere.

Yeah agree, they're not keeping Sheldon away for a very long time. In my head I'm hoping for one hour long season premiere like they did last year. In the first episode we would have Sheldon having the epiphany that we are supposing he's going to have, and then in the second episode he would come home and work on his issues with Amy, Lenny, his job... (For this one I think that the solution will come when he's his serious talk with Amy, the psychic said so  )

If he's away he should be working on his issues and when he returns he should have to go after Amy and show her how much he wants her in his life

Actually what he should do when he gets back is give Penny and Leonard a big hug and thank them for taking care of him all these years. Then he can go and see if Amy even wants to continue the relationship? Maybe at first she wants to take it slow? On the other hand how much slower could it possibly get?

There seems to be a parallel between Sheldon and Penny when they are seeing the psychic. When she tells Sheldon to give himself to the relationship(Amy) it seems to be advice that could of been given to Penny also. In the Proton episode Leonard seems to understand the significance of his death while Penny doesn't understand and Sheldon tries to ignore it. While it appears during Sheldon's dream that the significance is explained. The same thing when Leonard explains the significance. Both Proton and Leonard are trying to explain to cherish the people they have now and try not to have any regrets for things in the past. Death come soon enough. In 7.23 the parallels between Sheldon/Penny separate. When Penny loses her acting job she realizes Leonard is much more important than any acting job. Sheldon unfortunately doesn't . When Raj is upset with seeing Emily with another guy he advises he's better alone. It's like he giving advice to himself. Sheldon seems to forget what he heard from the psychic and from the death of Proton. Maybe the alone time will make him change that and he will realize how much more  important Amy is than any job. (Or Leonard and Penny for that matter.)

If that is the case, and it might very well be, I don't think it would be too credible to have Amy take him back. Even if he checks in with her, what could she expect from someone who's fine without her for such an extended period of time? I know she loves him, but relationships are supposed to be mutual. Let's wait and see...
