Tensor Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 That's what I meant, when I said we won't know the details. When the renegotiation deals were announced, it was reported that the three would be making $400,000 a year, for this year, now it's being said they are making $325.000. I still think it will be around $750,000 depending on syndication details(which again, we won't know). The ratings were just too high last year, and the ad rates may be higher than anything except for Sunday Night Football (we'll know ad rates in October), for them not to look at getting close to that. stardustmelody Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Kate's new show just got ordered from IFC. Looks like Lucy may only be visiting for one episode given that she will now be busy with her own series: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/ifc-orders-garfunkel-oates-pilot-639101
vonmar Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 This is what was reported by Deadline.com when they signed new contracts back in September 2010:After almost 3 months of negotiations with series producer Warner Bros TV, Big Bang leads Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, and Jim Parsons have agreed to a major salary hike that would bring the trio’s salaries to $200,000 an episode for the upcoming fourth season, up from about $60,000 last season. The salaries will rise to $250,000 in Season 5, then $300,000 in Season 6 and 350,000 in Season 7. Additionally, they will each receive .25 point of the series’ lucrative backend and will be paid $1+ million as an advance against it now and another $1 million in Season 7. That effectively adds another $50,000 to their per-episode paycheck over the life of the deal.

stardustmelody Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Yes, but sort of expected. I think Mom and Hostages are likely next based on their dismal ratings. BBT will only be there temporarily as re-runs, but still it is amazing how they chose it to try and bring in viewers to the network that evening. Once M&M start back up, BBT won't be airing, then, but it is nice to know they value this show so much and feel it is a way to try and help crippled shows hang in there longer to try and get audience. BBT power!CBS Cancels 'We Are Men,' Schedules 'Mike & Molly' Return for November I'm glad they cancelled that horrible show--just the ads made me cringe. It was embarrassing to see those actors trying so hard to sell the crappy dialog. From US Magazine online: The Big Bang Theory Stars Before They Were Stars: See their surprising early roles (a photo GALLERY) http://www.usmagazine.com/entertainment/pictures/big-bang-theory-stars-before-they-were-famous-see-their-surprising-early-roles-2013710/33243 Thanks for sharing! Hold on for a minute. BBT reruns will be leading into Mom for the next three weeks. Mom has been holding onto about 85-90% of 2 Broke Girls audience. If it does that with TBBT reruns(and assuming TBBT hits a 3 in the demo), it may have a bigger audience than 2 Broke Girls. Of course, it depends on how well 2 Broke Girls holds onto the audience from it's new lead in, HIMYM.

stardustmelody Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 (edited) 'The Big Bang Theory': Johnny Galecki talks record ratings, Sheldon and Leonard's relationship By Billy Nilles October 10, 2013 8:23 PM ET When "The Big Bang Theory" aired its Season 7 premiere in late September, the long-running hit scored its highest premiere ratings ever, with the second episode of the hour-long opener hitting over 20 million viewers. In today’s TV landscape, that sort of number is largely unheard of, making the achievement something that star Johnny Galecki considers “mind-boggling.”Zap2it had the change to speak with Galecki at the press day for the actor’s upcoming film "CBGB" (in theaters Oct. 11), and he told us that there’s no simple formula that’s been followed to turn his CBS series into such a big hit. “I mean, you know, if there was a recipe for it, then it would be really easy for everybody,” he says. “It’s just so hard to make a project like a television show or a film or an album come to fruition and then to share it with people who have a reaction to it, it’s just really mind-boggling and inspiring and exciting and heartwarming. Thank God that it hasn’t been boiled down. It’s like a freak science project, really.” Source: http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/10/the-big-bang-theory-johnny-galecki-talks-record-ratings-sheldon-and-leonards-relationship.html Edited October 11, 2013 by Tripper Shortened the quoted article
koops Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 (edited) I normally stay out of this thread to avoid spoilers from interviews (the worst kind of spoilers), but this photo from made me laugh so damn hard! LOL these writers. Btw, who's that third lady on the right and the one in the Teletubbie unisuit? I didn't know there were two more female writers? Tensor Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 What really find funny is that Eric Kaplan, a comedy writer, hardly ever smiles. He always looks so serious and doesn't seem to laugh as much as the others. Just incongruous, I guess.
Tensor Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 I wonder why Mike & Molly is set to come back in November if it had a full season ordered?Adorkable, M&M got a 22 episode order. From Nov to the end of the season is about 28 weeks. With the Christmas and New Years breaks, one Monday for the NCAA Basketball championship, taking a week out, they would only have to run three repeats. For comparison, last year, TBBT had 24 episodes and 7 repeats(On Thursday nights).
