Isn't the Teen Choice Award due tomorrow evening? I remember the show and Jim got nominated, isn't it? Is it the kind of award where the winners know in advance? Any chance the whole cast will be there?

I think so. The whole cast is nominated for choice chemistry and choice comedy show. Jim and Kaley have individual noms as well.

I have to admit that I only caught them announcing them and a call came in from family that distracted me so I didn't see if anyone from the cast was there.  I don't believe they were though.  If they were, they didn't do the whole "red carpet" arrival thing because none of them show up as having been there.

Wow. What a load of crap... sounds like he is disgruntled that he's no longer bringing in the big bucks

"Mr. Klausen noticed that the stars of the show, which are all considerably younger, began to ostracise [sic.] him after he turned fifty (50) years old"

Jim is 42 and Johnny is 40. Mayim is also almost 40. I wouldn't exactly consider them "considerably younger". Also, ostrasizing someone because they are now 50? Give me a break. Wonder how long it will take before this suit is thrown out...

I was thinking exactly the same thing about the age of  the actors.

There's a lot that goes into all the ways everyone interacts with the actors or doesn't and a lot of things that can go into how one fits or doesn't fit into a team.

Lorre and Prady are older--I think Prady is my age, mid-50s--and there's no reason that age would be an issue in how the actors or other crew members relate to each other.

But I don't know why they would just single him out as being too old.  It's not like the folks involved with this show are a bunch of teeny boppers.

I don't think they singled him out for being too 'old', it sounds like he made an assumption it was age-related since they didn't give him a reason

He claims that the actors and others ostracized him, and he presumes it has to do with his age.

What I'm saying is that there's no reason for anyone to care about anyone being over 50, since most of the cast and crew are not teenagers or whatever.

Can you imagine one of the cast members saying, "I don't want to talk to him--look how OLD he is!"  Ridiculous.

But it seems to me that this cast and crew have had little or no personal drama going on.  There have been a few personnel changes behind the scenes over the years, but no one has ever been accused of ageism.

World's Highest-Paid TV Actors 2015: Jim Parsons Leads With $29 Million Take

Talk about the value of a laugh: of the 15 stars on the 2015 edition of FORBES’ list of highest-paid television actors, 11 hail from the world of sitcoms.

The Big Bang Theory’s Jim Parsons leads the pack with a $29 million haul earned between June 1, 2014 and June 1, 2015. Helping to boost his standing in the earnings race (last year Parsons ranked 9th among TV actors) was a new contract that reportedly netted him and cast mates Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting and Johnny Galecki $1 million per episode and a more-than 1% cut of the show’s back-end profits. Add in a smash-hit Broadway show and an endorsement deal with Intel and the Emmy Awards’ reigning Leading Actor in a Comedy Series has become the king of the salary wars, too.

The contract negotiations that helped Parsons nab the top spot and co-star Galecki the second, with $27 million, also helped rocket fellow cast members Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar onto the list at $20 million each. The erstwhile Howard Wolowitz and Raj Koothrappali saw their salaries bloom from $100,000 per episode to a reported $800,000. With additional increases to come in the show’s ninth and tenth seasons, their ranks could climb even higher in the coming years.
