Has everyone seen this sneak peek?! It's sooo good! Haha I can't wait for tonight! I love how giddy and enthusiastic Sheldon is about the movie and around her.

This link doesn't seem to function anymore. But in my opinion, can I remember a situation back Sheldon has been this giddy around Amy, ever? Is this something new or am I wrong? I remember he hasn't been this enthusiastic earlier... Clear me if I'm wrong? He's so enthusiastic about Amy seeing his beloved movie, that is touching... He is sharing something meaningful from his heart to his girlfriend and it shows... I loved that "Oh Amy" laugh... I can't remember we have seen such before, have we? Is it something new, too? Or is it Jim almost breaking the character with laughter and then correcting it, so the writers/editors kept this version anyway? Or was that laughter and adorable smile to her included a part of the script... Interesting to ponder about it.

Whew!  Finally caught up on this thread (while eating lunch...I've been such a slacker at work!  TBBT is going to get me FIRED!!)

I agree that the whole daydream is simply a hark back to the "in the zone" conversation, putting a punchline on that set-up.  And it doesn't bother me that Amy says that she didn't make the cut (of things that he goes into the zone over, right?)  That will come. :p

And the "mommies and daddies" line doesn't bother me at all.  I do think it's along the lines of something Sheldon might say.  The way it struck me--since he said, "on the lips" first--was that he was emphasizing that he was thinking of "grown-up" kissing.  Mommies and daddies are married, grown-up people, not experimenting teenagers or a mother kissing her child or whatever.

And even though this is Amy daydreaming, the writers would want to make it seem as plausible as possible in order to make the daydream more real in order to get a bigger "gotcha!" out of it.

So, I could see where there could be a real moment where Sheldon finds her distracting because he's finally getting to the point where he wants to kiss her, and where he's thinking of the kind of kissing that grown-up, married people do.  I can see where unspoiled audience members would buy that conversation as being real.  And that's what makes the payoff better.

I don't think there's much point in trying to parse it out as simply what Amy would think, etc., because the dialog only serves to make the Bazinga! bigger.

Anyway, I think it's kind of a cute way to tease the audience, because I think that probably most viewers expect it to happen sooner or later.  I'm sure at least that kiss will have to happen this season.

And I also love that she understands what it is that's bothering him about his "discovery" and that he so appreciates her honesty.  She really is the person who is most like him.

So, I'm looking forward to this ep--to all of it.

And I really want to hear the whole gang singing to Bernie--that is also a brilliant move on the writers' part.  They've got a talented cast, and this is less gimmicky than doing a "musical" episode, and yet, we get to hear them all singing.

I think the laugther was totally in character--Sheldon thinks she's beeing foolish or whatever, so he's chuckling at her.  I saw it last night, but this link now says "This video is private", so I'm going by what I remember from last night.

I can't believe how much I loved the part where Amy shut Sheldon's gaping jaw for him. There was something so strangely intimate about that moment for me. I am not sure why, but I still fangirled myself into oblivion and drove my significant other into another room. (He he).

I know I'm in a different time zone than most everybody else in this thread, but I must say I loved tonight's episode. Sheldon had some really funny moments, particularly the one where he suddenly becomes a fan of Garfield, lol. But my favorite part of the whole episode, of course, is the end where Amy tells Sheldon, " If you're mad at me, tell me. You dont need to get revenge." And Sheldon says, "Okay, I'm mad at you." (Or something like that). I love how Amy is totally wearing the pants in the relationship right now and telling Sheldon how it's going to be, while still being loving. And I love that Sheldon is being much more open with his feelings here lately. Their relationship just feels very balanced right now, and I can sense it's becoming more and more serious and deep, not so much a mechanism for comedy.

It makes me so freakin excited for next week's episode. I love the baby steps the writers are taking with these two. It makes me feel all kinds of warm inside. :]

Sooo excited for next episode, although I know my heart is going to expand like a water balloon until it eventually bursts, and then I'll be dead and in Shamy heaven.

also I don't know if this is the next time promo that was at the end of tonight's episode (the version I watched cut out before it), but I'm so excited for this! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SuOk9kp8z8A

I love that Sheldon threatens only to "scream" if she rips off his clothes and makes love to him at the Cheesecake Factory. He could have said, "I will push you off of me and run away," but he didn't.

Interesting ... I bet he would be "screaming" if she did that. (Oh yeah. I went there.) :girldevil:

I enjoyed the episode tonight. Beverly's lines were great! I love her.  Is it me or are Leonard and Bev starting to look alike? :fool:

Loved the Shamy dialogue (the goodnight Dr. was cute and hot - thanks to my summer fanfic reading) and Jim was just soooo expressive with his faces. I replayed the part when he is talking about peanut butter because --- just look at his face *mmmMM.   :brunette:

Yay Amy!!! I liked her tone when she said "we're not going to do that" --- she ain't asking, she's telling --- sweetly of course so he won't notice he's been bossed. :assassin:

Shamy love is getting deeper and more mature. :crying:

Guest I'm not dead Cheryl

I like the way you think. Haha.

He could also be saying that he's a screamer *rawr*

The Shamy tonight was adorable. My heart still bets really hard at Amy saying to Sheldon that they don't have to be like his parents, they are better than that, they can talk it out. THAT'S progress!

and on a raunchier note, not only did Sheldon tell Amy he was going to make her lose her virginity, but he also said he would have worded it as "rock her world on his couch". SHELDON YOU DOG YOU. Someone's got sex on the brain, y'all.

Okay so ... When Sheldon asked Amy to come over for date night for tonight's episode, I'm basically supposed to understand that he flat out asked Amyif she was ready to lose her virginity. Because obviously she didn't know it would involve raiders; she said as much herself.

Do you think he threw a little winky face into the text, you know ... for whimsy (qhats life without it?)

"Hey Amy. Hope you're ready to lose your virginity tonight! Got something fun planned and it involves a whip!. ;)"

Don't mind me, guys. Hahaha
