Noticed that ya'll might not have gotten the summary we uncovered from last night's taping:

 

"Sheldon is trying to get a scientist to let him read his paper instead of Leonard, so Sheldon brings in another beloved scientist, (i’m not saying who.) to try and compete with Leonard. So Amy tells Sheldon, the reason he might not have chosen him was because he can get annoying. She doesn’t say it to his face, but Sheldon said how he’s used to hearing the word since he’s been called that since he was a child.

Raj and Howard are hanging out, and Howard invited Raj to hang out with him on Friday, but Raj is going to girls night with Penny, Bernadette, and Amy, so Howard starts making fun of him for it.

That’s pretty much it. I don’t want to say any of the jokes because I don’t want to ruin the episode for you or anyone else who watches. But the episode is a funny one. I can guarantee that! :D "

OMG he looks so excited when she tells him that she will be working at Caltech!!!!!He was actually really happy that they could eat lunch togehter and that they could carpool !!!!!!

I have a sense that at some point Sheldon might strive his way to be romantic for Amy... based on what we know about episodes 5 and 6. She is romantic for him in ep. 6, I think he will return the favor for her later in some way. What it could be I have no idea... But we will see some progress with him in this area during this season, I have a strong feeling about that, based on the current progress of Shamy.  I am happy that we will see SIK in dream sequence, it implicates that the real one is on it's way.... Maybe he is preparing himself to do it, consciously or not. "There's kissing in Star Trek" could be one justified reason for him to do it with Amy too

That was a really cute episode. Even though I read the taping report, I was surprised with how fixated Sheldon was on Amy. For once, Sheldon wasn't concerned about a thing except what's going on with Amy. He didn't even seem the least bit distressed about having to ride the bus. He had his usual quips as he normally does, like when he asks Amy what she's doing, and she says, "I'm testing monkey's reactions to a visual stimuli," he says, "Oh... so goofing off." However, it's obvious in this episode that his affection for Amy is stronger than ever before, without being OOC, of course. The ending scene was so sweet, and WAY too short. Amy was still "mad" at him at the end of the episode, but I had feeling that was just for the benefit of Bernie and Penny.

 

That's just my immediate reaction to the episode. I can't believe how fast it went by. :O

It really was the best line.   I loved it and laughed because it was so unexpected when I saw it the first time.  :laughing:    While there were other good lines, that one has to go down in the books as one of the best.        Kunal nailed it!

I really loved the Shamy in this episode! I liked the change of Amy not wanting to have Sheldon around her all the time - she's kind of grown up from that 'omg I have a boyfriend' thing which was really adorable but I liked the development there and her wanting to have a boundary because work is still important to her - and also just how much Sheldon wanted to be around her all the time. And the fact that he came to apologize and even though it wasn't the best apology, he actually went over there to say sorry to her. 

 

"I like you a lot" Those two are so sweet! They both like each other a lot, quirks and all! Nice little tie-up there

How do I describe this... Sheldon is a man in love, but he is behaving like a cat in love.

 

1. fickle. Pleased with the idea of Amy working near him until he realizes he won't be in control of how much time they spend together. The issue is resolved to his pleasure, but he still clawed up the drapes of Amy's heart. He is unaware, Mama's holding a grudge.

 

2. troublemaker. He enjoys stirring up trouble, hates getting yelled at, Kept stirring the pot with Howard and Bernie, then clutched his figurative pearls in shock when Howard shouted at him.

 

3.Jealous. Amy isn't paying attention to him. She is paying attention to a group of other cats. She must be lonely. Bored too. He needs to make her happy. The only thing that will do that is him. Sheldon attempts to entertain her by teasing the inferior cats as he rubs his scent all over her. And he gets pissy when disciplined. Hiss and a swat right back at ya lady.

 

4. Annoying. Like all cats, Sheldon knows that when Amy is working (or sleeping or cooking or visiting the restroom), she can't pay attention to his needs. This clearly must be upsetting to her as well, so he's doing her a favor by dragging her off.

 

5. Easily distracted. Croc with mouthful of monkeys!!!!!

 

6. "You are so lucky to be able to serve." The defining attitude that Sheldon shares with cats. He really likes Amy, he wants to follow her around from room to room all day just to know exactly what she is doing. Amy is very fortunate that he only wishes to eat the kibble she provides, and that her black clothing are the sole targets of his fur bombing.

 

Of course I came to these conclusions when my cat Buster, decided to rescue me from watching BBT by sitting on my chest, blocking the screen with his giant head while purring in Morse Code. "Let's play with the feather stick...This is on TBS all the time."
