rickfromillinois Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Ditto for Simon's singing (and piano playing) As far as Sheldon, yes, I did like his arc, but do you know what's the little part of a scene that I enjoyed the most? When he's singing back-up to Howard, not wanting to be there, with his arms sternly crossed in form of him, and an expression of "not wanting to be there" , but nevertheless he's singing and swaying in rythm with the rest of them . Don't know why my mind gravitates to such small details sometimes, but it does. What I liked best was Penny's dress. She seemed hotter then usual to me. BangerMain Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 (edited) Does that woman speak FOR me? Or indeed, for anybody but herself? No. But I still have to put up with all the crap that’s flung at her in her absence. There’s only the “hypothetical” Shennies here on this forum at the moment, and for the past five months, a fact of which the good gentlemen Bangermain and Carlos should be aware. It’s a small enough forum for people to manage to keep abreast of each other’s affiliations. Do we "hypotheticals" have to constantly be struck in the sconce by the abuse launched at those "angry Shennies" who are busy legging it down a virtual alleyway? I get it though. Tit for tat. An eye for an eye. Remember how the rest of that quote goes though… You are right Count, the fun loving, Hypothetical Shennies on this board should be protected from the blow back caused by the vitriol of one grieving and angry Romantic Shenny who did a drive by and then retreated to the safety of Paradox. Susana Alcira Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 I want to point this: SHAMY was created by the writers in S 4 EP 1 and PENNY herself named Sheldon and Amy SHAMY in a lot of episodios, in a happy way! WHO created Shenny? I am a TBBT fan since season 1 ep 1, and I have never seen a romantic love between Sheldon and Penny. Of course they love one each other(now) but only as siblings and close friends. Sine s1 ep 1, Sheldon knows Leonard´s love interest for Penny, and he helps him a lot of time about Penny, as Penny helps Sheldon and Amy with their relationship. . It is SO clear!!! WE ARE in season 7 !! and another thing: What about if Amy is not dreaming, she is remembering the kiss so she is IN THE ZONE!!??????!!!!!!!??????? Cecilia Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Yeah I think that this about the kiss being actually a memory is been said before but I don't think so. They wear the same clothes but that could have been the same day. But I still don't think so. If it was indeed a memory then it is only logical that sonetime they will go back and let us know what happened. And to be honest I wouldn't want it to be more than daydreaming. It was a delightful scene I loved it but I believe that the SIK can be even better!!!
kameleon Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 I don't think the scene was Amy reminiscing, I think it was just her daydream about how their first SIK would play out and how Amy imagines Sheldon would approach it. But given the way he spoke to her in 6-23 ' I erotically caress.....' I don't think the writers are going to give him a 'mommies and daddies' line for the real thing. He's shown he knows what's involved and that he can approach it in a mature fashion even if it was virtual the last time.

And I've said before that this is a clue about how Amy is all talk when it comes to intimacy. I think Sheldon would be bolder than Amy if the time comes or at least he won't be so innocent as to say something like that "mommies and daddies" line.. Convict13 Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Actually thinking about one of the scenes in this episode, made me think, Sheldon is speaking the language of love Exhibit A http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=liZeWha6NDA compare to Exhibit B http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QnQeqns2XcU It's gone from pragmatic to romantic. Amy too has changed her tune - a lot,
simonsayz Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Sheldon and Amy relationship has to grow, so it's kind of given that Sheldon is more and more into Amy. But the ending was funny. Amy is the social awkward and weird one lol Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk

nubinnoir2 Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 simon(howard) very talented. this is the second song that he has done for bernadette. I hope there will be more of raj's parent in this season.
Doctor Aragonto Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Season 7 has been excellent thus far and this episode was no different. Here are my 2 cents on the main themes of the episode. Howards song was fantastic, i always like a cast number in a sitcom and it was cleverly written. This was the big sell following Howard prep for the fate night. And while the end result was near perfect it would have been nice to see Bernie earlier in the episode. We didn't get to see what she thought/was planning for the date. I say near perfect because it seems odd that after all the prep that they didn't take all their instruments to the hospital. I get the Cello being so big and hard to manoeuvre in a hospital, but the smaller instruments could have been used. But hey i'm just being picky. It worked really well. And of course putting Sheldon in a hospital is a sure way to get some added comedy to the scene. Sheldon discovered a new element. I was happy to see this because, and I may be wrong, I don't think we have seen Sheldon make any grand discoveries yet in the show at least not as big as this was made out to be. So it really came out of nowhere and was very welcome. I'm of the opinion that Sheldon will get his nobel prize whenever the final episode comes about (not for a long time i hope). So this will do for now. Note of interest, would Sheldon have still led to the discovery of the element had he got his calculations correct? I'm torn on this one. The lesser story was that Penny can't be romantic and tries to prove so to Leonard. The box of memories was a sweet touch but didn't prove her to be romantic. But like was said i believe. When you look like Penny, who needs romance? Not the best episode of the series but still very good. 7/10 seems reasonable.
rachelshamyfan Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Yeah but there needs to be more than just hotness in a person otherwise what do u have in common
Doctor Aragonto Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 I'm not saying that's the only thing she has, I'm just saying it trumps romance, especially as proven she isn't good at it. She also brings more to the table like making the effort to know about Leonard's work and interests. So I do think they have things in common. SoftKitty25 Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 (edited) Loved the episode. If there's one flaw in the show to bring up it's that it doesn't touch base on too many emotional moments. I grew up on Friends which always had sweet, sometimes sad moments to balance out the humor in those 10 seasons. Here it feels more like the comedy is what's most important. That in mind, I was in tears at Howard's song to Bernadette. I wasn't expecting it and it was a very sweet touch to do it while she was quarantined. I really want more moments that just make you go 'awww'. I also liked how Sheldon felt he didn't deserve the praise he received for his 'discovery'. On any other circumstance he would bask in the attention he so desperately loves, so it was nice to see him break away from that. Solid episode 9/10 Edited July 5, 2014 by SoftKitty25
