3ku11
Loved the episode! It was pretty slow in the beginning, but the Howard song with the gang as background singers, well IMO well go down as one of TBBT all time iconic moment's, it was so good. A mixture of comedy and drama, Sheldon is back, the Sheldon I saw was the Sheldon of S1. Lenny in the end was so good, I well admit I nearly choked up when Leonard was like "I can't beleive you kept all this stuff" and Penny was like "Of course I did, I mean it's you". I mean we have known from the begginning Leonard has shown affection, and physical proof of being romantic with Penny, and he has been chasing her from the start, to know all this time Penny felt the same way about him, even sub conciousley when she was dating looser's, it was just a great moment, Lenny's Top Moment IMO. Anyone who say's the relationship aspect of the show is killing the show can really be quiet now haha, it's made the show go to another level, I actually thought Sheldon was going to kiss Amy haha, was that neccessary though? We know Amy want's Sheldon, we need evidence that Sheldon want's a physical relationship with Amy, he said last season he woulden't rule it out, but we need to see Physical proof. This ep top's Scavenger Hunt, it wasen't laugh out loud, but I laughed consistently through out, and it was a feel's episode, I'm a happy Lenny right now haha! djsurrey
Yes the song was good. I expect I will be watching the performance more than a few times on youtube once it is posted there.  Sheldon's blunder instantly reminded me of a completely unrelated unit conversion error that cost the loss of a $125 million space craft in 1999. from http://sunnyday.mit.edu/accidents/mco-oberg.htm   ...on 23 September, through a series of still-baffling errors, flight controllers at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, a California Institute of Technology facility under contract to NASA, sent erroneous steering commands to the Mars Climate Orbiter as it neared the target planet. Obeying blindly like all true robots, the probe, metaphorically speaking, marched off the cliff and was destroyed.   NASA assigned three separate teams to investigate the embarrassing, US $125 million debacle and determine its cause. Preliminary public statements faulted a slip-up between the probe's builders and its operators, a failure to convert the English units of measurement used in construction into the metric units used for operation. koops
This episode turned out so much better than I expected. I can't believe the most romance-packed episode in the whole series, except for maybe the V-day ep last year, was SO full of science. This was so fantastic, a stroke of genius from the writers. The fact that they managed to have the song contain so many nerd, science-y reference and the whole "WE couldn't have imagined how good our lives would get, from the moment that we met you, Bernadette"? If that's not a jab to the haters, I don't know what it is. Fantastic episode all around.  Everyone was on top form. I absolutely loved Sheldon not wanting praise for a mistake. It goes to show that for all his arrogance he does not want to claim success that isn't genuine, even though mistakes are indeed so common in science and people actually try and twist their own results all the time. It was so mature of him, I loved it. And I ADORED how Amy was the only one who was able to say what he needed to hear! That is the Shamy-connection I always talk about and that I missed so much from last season: not her rolling her eyes at him or handling him the way everyone else does, but handling him the way SHE knows how to handle him and that nobody else but Sheldon gets. Fantastic.  Lenny were adorable. I loved Penny's frustration when Sheldon told Amy how romantic her statement was and went "Dammit! Everyone can do this better than me!". So cute. So cute how she tried so hard for Leonard and how she kept all those keepsakes. And people say these two don't love each other?  The song... oh my! I was expecting something cheesy and cringeworthy but it was fantastic, so in tune with the show's nature. Maybe it was a little bit too long, but I loved it nonetheless, and I'm sure I will listen to it again and again and again. The friendship in that scene was just as touching as Howard's romantic gesture for Bernie.  Loved it, fantastic episode. Maybe the best of the season so far?  eta: Rewatched the last scene again and how on Earth does Mayim blush on command? I swear it looks like she is blushing on the couch scene! Edited October 25, 2013 by koops
Superlovelexi
Awesome episode, my favorite so far this season!!.  I love that everyone got to hang out with each other and how romantic it was.  I love that we got Penny/Leonard, Howard/Bernadette SHAMY, Raj/Howard, Raj/Penny and even some Sheldon/Leonard time all in one episode. Its great. I think now the only two characters that haven't really spent any alone time together are Sheldon/Bernadette they should make that one happen like they did for Amy/Howard it be cute to see them both doing some sort of science experiment or going shopping together for something special for Howie's birthday.  The Best Part of course was The Bernadette Song which was just the most adorable thing ever. I know Howard has sang about Bernadette before, but this one was SO MUCH BETTER and sweeter I actually got a little when the others all joined in at the end. It was like they were sing it to Melissa Rauch too and how her joining the cast made them more of a unit. I hope one day Sheldon does something that romantic for Amy because I think she deserves her own song or something unique not just Soft Kitty which is really his sick song.  I love that Penny tried to be romantic for Leonard, usually all she talks/thinks about is sex and booze its nice to see the softer Side of Penny. Usually its the guys having to be romantic to the ladies on tv shows I like that on TBBT both the men and women do romantic things for their significant other.  I would also like to see someone do something really sweet for Raj since he still doesn't have one, the whole gang ruined his scavenger hunt by taking it to seriously and didn't show up for his murder mystery party either so they should do something extra sweet that totally make up for that at some point.  Its obvious why they had Howard act like such a tool to Bernie last week, so they could pull out that sweet song and all would be forgiven. BRILLIANT!!!  The way Amy tried to cheer Sheldon up by dissing him was awesome, remind me of earlier days of Amy when she use to act just like him. I actually wouldn't mind seeing more of take charge tell it like it is Amy, Sheldon seems to like that side of her and actually decided she could be in his FORT!  So you know what that means.  One step closer to him getting in her FORT I hope!  YEAH THATS RIGHT I SAID IT!  My only pet peeve with this episode was the final scene of SHAMY. I'm SO tired of the writers cock teasing us SHAMY fans! I mean I knew right away that it wasn't real so I was just like OH PLEASE!! It was so obviously going to turn out to be a dream when Sheldon said "All I think about is kissing you" It was like DAMN IT WHY CANT THIS BE REAL!!  Its more cruel than if they did nothing at all to keep teasing us like that. At least they could have shown them hanging out in a real tree fort or something and they could have made it out in the end to be Sheldon having the dream instead of Amy that would have actually meant so much more if he woke up in bed after dreaming that.  I mean come on Amy and Sheldon have kissed twice before in previous seasons its not that big of a deal its not like it be their first and now by time they finally do kiss again for real its going be hard to live up to all this hype. JUST GET IT OVER WITH ALREADY!!  At this point, I'm thinking its probably going be more like when Penny finally said I love you for first time, it'll just happen when we least expect it like while they are fighting over something Sheldon did wrong or when Sheldon is super sick so he doesn't care about kissing her cause he is already sick and Amy won't even mind catching his germs. But either way the more they make us wait the less funny and sweet it will be instead people will just be like ITS ABOUT FREAKING TIME WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG like with Raj talking to women without booze that joke got stale somewhere in season 2 yet lasted much much longer, please don't do that to SHAMY!!  But, besides the lame ending, the entire rest of the episode was really cute and special. Also, I am really feeling the Howardette right now!! Edited October 25, 2013 by Superlovelexi

Maybe the best of the season so far? I think this episode proved that Leonard and Penny have amazing chemistry, and that IMO Kaley/Penny doesen't have any more chemistry with any other character in the show compared to Leonard. This episode also proved that IMO Penny has now fallen in love with Leonard, last season she got the right depth to actulize her emotion's that IMO she always had, but this season I can she is falling in love with Leonard, this is just my opinion. The point is with the song, is that these character's have all been better for Bernadette being in their life's, cannot imagine the show without her and even Amy now. The show's at it's best right now, their's also going to be people who don't like the episode's now, it's not perfect all the time, but neither was Friend's, but they are getting it right this season. Grasshopper
 Just watched the episode! I was ready to post about how sweet this episode was and talk about howard and bernadette, but then I saw the ending! OMG! I know it was just Amy in her "zone" but it was still so awesome! So many shamy feels! The writers were really teasing us with that one, lol!    I just watched the episode also. I thought it was really good. Sometimes I am thankful that I can be so gullible because the ending pretty much had me fooled. I wasn't even thinking that it was Amy in the zone. I was expecting more of something like a Bazinga from Sheldon. The song that Howard made for Bernadette was classic. There was a good balance of humor, science and romance in this episode. It was actually pretty cool of Sheldon as he displayed his dignity and not wanting to take credit for his accidental achievement. I think he ought to have got an award for his honesty and modesty on that one.  Man alive, I love Thursdays! Most of my favorite shows are on. the BBT, Anger Management, Two and a Half Men and The Michael J Fox show, although I'm still not really bonding the the later of those 4 shows but I am a fan of Fox.. Lionne
1) Yup. FEELS. (Although if any unicorns puke any rainbows anywhere near my shoes we will have WORDS. BIG WORDS. Do you hear me?)2) Plot - I love the fact that this was another episode in which I really couldn't distinguish an A, B or C storyline. They were simply effortlessly blended together - the overall emphasis was on romance in it's various forms for all three couples, and where these couples are in their relationships. And yet they still managed to weave in Raj as lot too. So it was, again, another ensemble episode in which everyone got a turn to shine, and seemed to me a blend of old school (are the people who complain about the missing science finally satisfied??!?!?!) and new school (not just Howard, but the entire cast singing how THEY, together, are glad to have Bernadette/Melissa as part of their lives, showing appreciation for those new female additions who sometimes take so much heat) and displayed, as my favorite episodes display, how this show can fire on all cylinders and make it look easy. In it's 7th season! It's unbelievable.3) Howardette - The song was amazing in itself - such clever lyrics and a cute tune. But Howard's delivery of it, and Bernadette being on the other side of that glass, along with the backing chorus from the rest of the cast, just knocked it out of the park. When Simon got choked up at the end, and simply the way he sang her name, I just about broke. One of my twins and I have been discussing off-forum about how, no matter how far they take Howard, they always root him in the fact he deeply loves his friends and is deeply loved in return. His mother, Bernadette and Raj truly think that the earth, moon and stars revolve around Howard, and no matter some of the lines he tosses off about them (joyously and with fond amusement or hopeless acceptance) you never lose sight of the fact that he loves them in return just as much.4) Lenny - So much to love here. I like the fact that Leonard feels secure enough in his relationship with Penny now that he can tease her and not agonize over the idea she might get mad or lose him. Also, that Penny takes the teasing and gives honest answers instead of getting defensive, twisting things up, and hulking out. The moment where she pulls down the box also had me tearing up - she found out that she was, indeed, doing something romantic and appreciative of Leonard without even knowing or giving herself credit that she did. The fact that the ending moment was really more of a hug, wrapping their arms around each other to hold on tight rather than something sexual was also really beautiful and intimate. Great relationships experience love in a variety of different ways - passion, security, comfort, insecurity, anxiety, hope, tenderness and more. This scene was deeply moving, and I was touched by it. That they simply wanted to hold the other close, rather than hit the sheets, showed us a tender moment. For those complaining that all these two have in common or do together is sex, I am glad this scene displayed how there is so much more than that which is tender, sweet and heartfelt between these two.5) Shamy - As usual, they understand each other on a level no one else would. Sheldon was honestly mortified by his error, and he would not be condescended to for people to cheer him up, and hated every reminder, no matter how good they seemed, of his mistake. He might have a lot of flaws, but one thing Sheldon does have is a lot of honesty and integrity, especially when it comes to academics and his career. If Kripke's work is better, Sheldon acknowledges it and even invites the ridicule he expects. When he makes a huge breakthrough based on an error, he wants everyone to stop praising him. Only Amy seems to understand that he wants the truth, and she gives it to him. Which in turn moves her closer to him and into the tree fort. (Amy and Sheldon, sitting in a tree (fort) K-I-S-S-S-S-I-N-G) Or almost kissing. Although Amy's daydream only showed us something we already know - how Amy feels about Sheldon and something she wants out of the relationship - it was still breathtaking due to the way the two of them played the scene. Amy's little fantasy - which was like a school girl hoping to be kissed over her homework, and being utterly innocent and nervous about the moment - should show how she's far from some sex-crazed nympho and exactly how "wild" her imagination really runs. Also, the intensity with which Jim played Sheldon in that moment was breathtaking, and I got the feeling he was having the time of his life acting out everything about it, and enjoyed, immeasurably, taking his sexuality off the shelf for the first time in that role and letting it out. I just got the feeling he was getting a huge kick out of every second, and from what I've read almost everywhere, people were not just stunned but like practically in hysterics watching it. Â 6) Science! - Seriously, if there is not a break from the bitching about the lack of science for at least a week after this episode, I am taking a tire iron to some kneecaps. Â I mean it. Â 7) Raj and Penny - I really loved that there was a very casual friendship vibe between Raj and Penny. She asked him for help, and he was happy to take the time to come provide it in a way that was nothing but total friendship. Also, after suggesting his various tricks, he simply gave her the sweetest and most honest advice: it has to come from you. The conversation they had, and the way they talked, showed a really lovely friendship between the two of them. Penny actually invited Raj into her problems, and Raj was nothing more than a caring, supportive, affectionately teasing friend. It's nice to see this between the two of them, to see them land here after the things they have been through, and to remind us that despite Bernadette and Amy, Penny was the first girl-as-a-friend that Raj ever had. The first women he spoke to under the effects of alcohol, the first woman he spoke to without the assistance of alcohol, and a woman who is his friend and the two of them can and will hang out just the two of them together and it's fine - not weird, not creepy, but affectionate and gentle with the kind of teasing which exists between good friends. It's a reminder that all of these boys were Penny's boys once - the lost nerdy boys she befriended somehow, and that that applies to all 4 of them, not just Leonard and Sheldon. Â Also, it's nice to see that some of their more controversial past history is water under the bridge. And something in Raj's voice when he tells her that her romantic gesture is going to have to come from her - that's the only way it'll really be meaningful - was brotherly and honest, and the whole moment was lovely. If these two get past their little moment, perhaps the rest of the fan base can as well. Edited October 25, 2013 by Lionne

The end just made me L.O.L with Amy day dreaming, when it resumed from the day dream me, my mum and my sister where all squished against the screen saw it wasnt real and all said AWWWHHH at the same time haha. Dayton Lavon Kitchens
I loved it.  Howard's song was good and just amateurish enough to be charming without being hokey.  And the final scene with Penny and Leonard was outstanding as Penny realized she had a "romantic side" without even realizing it. Convict13
It's funny but you guys seem to have loved it so much, but it was a little hot and cold for me.  I loved the Sheldon storyline, and the Lenny were so sweet tonight,  but Howard and  Bernadette left me cold, and I love Simon normally, but I think we've seen a little too much of Bernie lately.  The end scene ( well I was spoiled), but it was nicely played and Jim's delivery was brilliant, but I still hate the "mommies and daddies line". I voted OKay for this episode, because it was basically 50% good, 50% bad for me. Edited October 25, 2013 by Convict13
terriblewaitress
I loved Amy's little fantasy there at the end. Those two have their own "zone" - one day them zones are gonna merge!  Howard's song for Bernadette was just absolutely wonderful and adorable in so many ways. Those two are so cute. I love how passionate and enthusiastic Bernadette is about her work but how she also has this amazing love for Howard which he reciprocates and understands the consequences of her love for her work too.  Leonard and Penny were just absolutely... amazing. The box was bigger than I expected - that along with the pregnancy test were a nice surprise! I love how Penny's truly romantic motions of love come straight from her heart - she doesn't think about these things, they just come from her. Such a lovely scene for those two.
