I agree with a lot of what has been said here/ I think that Amy's character, as well as Howard's are the most difficult to play in TBBT. There is a balancing act that occurs in those two characters that has to be played just right to make them come off as people one would care about.

I wish there would be more Amy Farrah Fowler.  Although the character has varied somewhat over the past few years, I think she's a great addition to the rest of the gang.  I love that she has started standing up to Sheldon more, too!  What say you?

"Less is more" - minimalism, architectural style which I happen to like a lot. Applies to Amy perfectly. :)

I think they had to diminish and minimize the role of Amy in order to paint the picture of Lenny as the forefront and heart of the show, but yes in terms of treating Amy better I hope they do in regards to how Sheldon treats her.

Oh stop already with Lenny being the heart of the show.

Just because they are your favorite ship, doesn't make it true.

Shamy isn't either.

If there is a heart of the show, it's Leonard and Sheldon.

Everyone else revolves around them.

But to get on topic, I just hope they finally start to reward Mayim with regular plot lines about her (non Shamy plot lines), she clearly is (together with Jim) the most talented cast member.

I actually disagree with you there. Not about Mayim, but about Jim. Don't get me wrong, Jim's great, but I think the two most talented actors are Mayim and Simon. To me their characters are the most difficult to play perfectly.

Simon is third on my list, just behind Jim.

The problem Jim has imho, is that Sheldon was more likeable in the earlier seasons.

He was annoying too back then, but we (and the other characters) tolerated it for the most part.

But now it was starting to become stale, with sometimes it appearing as mean (to Leonard and to Amy of course for one).

That's why I hope that this trip gives Jim a "new" Sheldon to play. Or a more matured version of the old Sheldon.

I don't really know how you make these judgments. Not that I disagree. I just think they are all talented which makes for a great show.

I agree that Sheldon was more likeable in earlier seasons.   I really hate how he comes off as mean (way too often).  I do hope we see a "new improved" version of Sheldon.  Honestly, just before he kissed Amy on the train, I was very close to turning the channel on that episode, as he was very annoying.

Lol seriousley did i not mention Shamy and im suddennly the evil bad wolf haha. Chiany i dont understand why you think its appropriate of you to accuse me of not being partial and looking at the show from a centric pov, because apparrently im so into my ship. When your always doing the same thing, its not an opinion or saying Lenny is the heart of the show means im starting a ship war, your the one who felt the need to take it personally for what ever reason. Its a fact Leonard and Penny have been the heart of Bbt since the pilot, this does not mean they are the focus or the most important part of the show i never said that, your the only wan who choose to interpret it that way. But in S7 through all the intense Shamy moments the heart if that was Romance Resonance Penny being romantic, Leonard buying her a car, Lenny getting engaged etc. They were not as centric as Shamy in S7 vut they had alot of the touching moments of the season. You gotta stop having dig because i shed a light on something in the show that was not Shamy, my intention was never to compare i was just awnsering why Amy has been diminished a bit, its not all about Shamy.
