I am stunned this is even an issue.  Why are people so bothered by it?   Todd wasn't, neither was Jim's family or for that matter, Todd's family.  No one cared there...so why is this an issue with some fans?   It was a sweet moment and why it is bothering some fans is beyond me.   Has anyone listened to Jim's recent comments about Rihanna?  Calling her hot, smelling like heaven, loving her?   Jim is a sweet and affectionate person, but that does not mean he is going to drop Todd for Rihanna.   Hollywood is a strange place and people say a lot of things there that can be totally misinterpreted.   MaJim's sweet moments were also evidently misinterpreted.   I guess people just don't understand that business and so take it too literally.

I think some people want there to be a MaJim romance, like Sheldon and Amy, because they can't separate the fiction from the reality, or else they want to be overprotective of Todd and Jim for a distorted version of the same thing, and they seem to assume that Jim is gay only until the right woman (Mayim) comes along, or whatever.

He and Todd seem to be secure enough that affection displayed to other people doesn't bother them at all.  I didn't see any supposed uproar over this (thankfully) but it sounds a little like tabloid thinking, to me, where every little detail is extrapolated or exaggerated into something that is not at all what happened or what is/was intended.

It's kind of like with Kaley and all the pregnancy/divorce rumors.  Or even at this star ceremony--some people were saying she wasn't smiling and trying to imply something by it.  If she happens to wear a certain outfit, she's suddenly pregnant, or is she goes somewhere without her husband it's because they're getting a divorce, and so on.

With Jim and Mayim, some people want him to show more affection for Todd in public (never mind that Todd isn't exactly a public persona) than for Mayim, while others want him to forget about Todd and just show affection for Mayim (never mind that Jim is gay) than for Todd.

I understand that and knew that already, my point was people need to realize that those most closely involved could care less and we as fans need to do the same.

I know.  I was just following up on that--how certain people get carried away because of whatever preconceived idea they have about Jim or Todd or Mayim or whoever, and lack of perspective.

I always think of actors being "kissy" as my aunt used to say.  They're always hugging and kissing each other.  I don't know if it's the industry that makes many of them that way or if it's the emotional makeup of theater people or what it is, but I don't think anything of such displays of affection.

This is so ... so... so... perfect! Just imagine if this is Sheldon and Amy on character. Could have been at their honeymoon. hahaha I could dream...

They do have a lovely friendship but I don't like thinking of Mayim and Jim as their characters. It just feels kinda weird to me...
