Honestly I'm more offended by the fact that his face is a different color from his body LOL

As for Jim, he's actually commented on photos of him and Mayim in sexualized positions before, he finds them funny. He's aware that people are shipping the characters, not the actors. When people make these images, they aren't doing it for Mayim and Jim but for Amy and Sheldon, it kind of goes with the territory when you're an actor. Sometimes people see their character more than they see you.

Nah, I know some people who does that for the actors, not the characters. It isn't my business (if you do that, ok then), but I think this is creepy.

Oh nothing, just that he was a Lenny shipper who used to hang in the Shamy thread. I thought maybe he changed the username

for the reciod I dont "ship" anyone they are my fav charectors on the show but I like them all (except Raj, I hate Raj) shipping takes to much emotional investment and a willingness to sometimes forget these people aren't real

I feel the same way, and this one is especially creepy.  Yikes!

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who feel the same way about it.

The only two things that I think it's creepy in a fandom are:

-photoshop edits of the characters

-shipping the actors

ok, there's a third one:

-fanfics with the actors.

You said it correctly, there's nothing wrong with shipping their friendship. Friendship is ok, but as a couple...no way. People are free to ship whatever they want, but this? C'mon.

(How did I get here? I don't usually comment on here, did Tensor move the posts from another thread?)

Yeah discussion of photos of Jim and Mayim, as Jim and Mayim, hardly belongs in the Shamy thread.  I left a note in the other thread speaking of moving some posts.

I believe most of us here are indeed and genuinely shipping their friendship.

Shipping them as an actual couple, which they definitely aren't would be kinda sick.

Kinda? Totally sick! It's very weird. People (I'm not saying here from the forum, be cool) keep trying to find reasons to convince themselves that Jim and Todd's relationship is about to end and that Jim is madly in love for Mayim...oh my gosh, no!

I read two, only two lines from a fanfic about them. Why I did that? It's like reading one where your parents are the characters. Gross. But some people like it, let it be then.

If things were different (ie. Jim wasn't gay, and already in a relationship), I think they'd make a really nice couple.

In that case I would totally support them. And I think that most of the fans would do that too. :)

I cannot believe people try to write FF about real people.    I, too, ship Majim's friendship.   To do so as a couple is completely disrespectful to their current relationships.   I, however, appreciate their sense of humor in knowing that people do pair them up in photo shop, etc. as a means to celebrate the Shamy relationship.

I think it says a lot about Todd's level of security in the relationship knowing that Jim is a sex symbol not only by the female but male fandom as well.  I've read quite a few heterosexual men say they would become gay for Jim.   I think Jim appreciates his fan base but also lets these things just roll off his shoulders knowing it comes with the territory of the career he has chosen.

I'm sorry...what?

Fans are crazy. I know that because I am one. A good example: twitter/tumblr accounts named "gay/lesbian for ~~name of the idol~~".I know that some people would go gay for their idols. I don't condemn them, they might have their own reasons and desires different from mine, but I'm kinda conservative about what is madness and what isn't about the love from a fan to its idol LOL.

Most of people I know who want them to become a actual couple are girls. Teenagers, young adults, who hardly believes that shit just got real. I remember when I said that this is nonsense; they almost killed me, haha. Jim and Todd's relationship has more than 10 years, if they resist people wanting them to break up for all this time, they can do a lot more.

Last year a friend of mine sent me a text -a testemonial- about a woman who slept with Jim at college (dafuq?).

For me, this is a lie. Anyone can go online and say "hey, I slept with a celebrity" without arguing. Have you ever heard about that? I'm pretty sure that at least someone but me did. (no, I don't have the link for this xxx file, :cheese:)
