A very talented musician, songwriter, and actress. I seem to be one of the few who actually liked her with Raj. I thought her outer nervousness was a great reflection of what we knew to be his inner nervousness.

She and her partner (who played Rebecca Nowitski, my all-time favorite guest star) also wrote the song Howard sang to Bernadette when she was quarantined.

So I am a big fan and would love to see her come back!

Their new show, Garfunkel & Oates, is supposed to be premiering in the fall on IFC. It's probably the only thing on that channel (aside from theatrical films) that I'll bother to watch, since their other programming looks unbelievably stupid (Portlandia in particular; every time I see a commercial for it, I cringe at how stupid it looks, which is the same reaction I had to commercials for FX's It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia).

I watched an interview Kunal did and he talked about Emily and Lucy and which one Raj should date. I thought it was really interesting how he said Emily brought Raj out of his shell and made him feel more comfortable, whereas with Lucy the roles were switched and he had to comfort her. I'd love to see Raj not as the vulnerable partner in the relationship for once so I thought Lucy was great and would like to see her back on the showm

I love Kate Micucci, but didn't particularly like her as Lucy. Or maybe it is more accurate to say that I didn't like the Lucy character. While with Lucy Raj was the "strong" one, I like his relationship with Emily better, because Emily understands him and accepts him for who he is, and even if she's more experience she doesn't throw it in his face but rather recognizes and appreciates the sweetness and naivete he displays towards her.

Also helps with Emily that Raj can now talk to women sober, whereas, if I recall correctly, he still had his selective mutism while dating Lucy.  He and  Lucy were both kind of messed up.  I liked the way Raj was honest with Emily when she showed up at his apartment.  I have hopes for Emily in the future of the series.  She's nice to him but she's quirky - she'll fit right in.  Emily interacting with Sheldon - love to see that.

Lucy was sweet but was a social basket case.  Her future with Raj didn't look healthy for him.  I think it's time for Raj to have his day in the sun with a real relationship.

All in all for me, last night was one of the best, or maybe the best, of Season 7.

I saw that interview and his take on it, but didn't agree with it.  I felt that he became almost domineering to Lucy and that is why she broke up with him.  I think the fact that he saw her as worse off than him, he took out on her all the "freedom" he wanted in himself which came after they broke up.   She was almost someone he could pity more than love.  He loved that she was worse off than him more than the person.   He loved that she made him feel in control and better off than her.   That is not very healthy.

Honestly, I think what he has with Emily is far healthier.  They are far more equals and she accepts him, quirks and all, for who he is and doesn't try to change him.  He obviously finds her beautiful and affectionate as well.   I think they are much better suited.

I agree with Carlos.  The character Lucy was poorly written from the beginning.   It was a writing issue, not an actress issue.  Kate is just fine, but the character wasn't.   However, I do think that his chemistry is better so far with Laura than it was with Kate.

I started watching Raising Hope which has 26 episodes with Kate.  The show is made by the creator of My Name Is Earl.  It is sometimes as good as MNIE and both shows are about naive/ignorant (but decent) people.  Raising Hope sometimes is a bit hollow.  There was a laughably bad scene trying to show Kate's character had studied the martial arts.  Kate plays Shelley who is the cousin of the younger female lead, Shannon Woodward.

On BBT I don't like the character of Emily because what is there to say about her?  And I still hope Lucy will return but some people hated her, thought she was pathetic.
