Can We Stop Using Huge Signatures Please?

A lot of people have huge signature images, usually animated gifs, and usually animated gifs of Amy and Sheldon.

When I'm scrolling through a thread it drives me nuts.

Please DON'T post replies that themselves have huge signature images.

I already have, personally, but IMHO posters who have huge, obnoxious signatures could stand to be a bit more considerate of others and tone them down a little. Some (and I emphasize that word) of those signatures tend to be waaaay over the top.

I too turned them off...but people who do not know about that option can find it hard sometimes....if internet is slow...the site does not even load properly.......its pretty irritating.... IMO

If you really feel strongly about it, send Tripper a PM with your suggestion.

At another site I go to, there is a size limit for signatures.

I don't really care one way or the other, but turning off the signature option is the simplest solution.

We do have signature size limits. I haven't noticed anybody's being too large, but you can report those to me.

 

The forum also provides two options: one to turn off all signatures, which can be found in your user panel. Also, you can hide a specific user's signature by hovering over the signature area, and clicking the X that appears in the top right. With it being possible to hide any or all signatures, I don't think the rules about signatures have to be particularly strict.
