Am rapidly going off Leonard and penny, I would be happy for Leonard to haul his ass over to pennys apartment and stay there and enough with the snarkiness towards Sheldon

the only

I enjoyed the episode - I liked the fakeouts, the implication that Howard had slept with Emily, only to discover he had just blown up her bathroom - and then the recreation of the Raj/Penny night after scene, with Shedon waking up after a drunken night and the slow pan along his arm to see who he was with, only to find out it was his Geology book - LOL - that one made my heart stop for a second - I also liked the conversations Sheldon had with Penny and with Howard, showing the growth in both of those relationships, and I liked the drunk dialing of Stephen Hawking - I didn't really get the point of the hairstyle change that lasted 10 seconds, but other than that it was a good epidode.

i think the only outcome of  the hairstyle  was.. tat amy made him change it back to wat it was.. which was a cute scene

Sheldon immediately thinking of Amy when he woke up hung over the night before. I loved how she was foremost on his mind and, while we have no idea why he wanted to apologize to her, how quickly he was wanting to apologize is such a vast improvement over the man who used to hate to apologize.

He wanted to apologize for sleeping with the book of Geology. Isn't it obvious?

Sheldon was hilarious *LOL* (Jim was on fire! He deserves an Emmy nomination for this and oh he should win that thing too! Go Jim!)

best Sheldon scenes/quotes;

- Geology is the Kardashians of science. *LOL*

- Sheldon naked in his bed with the Geology book *LOL*

- Sheldons knocking  on the door of his empty room *LOL*

- the messages Sheldon left on Stephen Hawkings voice mail *LOL*

Sheldon was the only one who made me laugh in the episode.

No wonder why he is my favourite character. He´s the best IMO. There was not a single episode where I didn`t laugh about a joke of him.

Brilliant episode, I loved how Kripke was in the episode, but not an important part of the show.  It was funny, I laughed a lot through this, my favourite scene was Sheldon waking up in the morning, very funny, and "if someone says come in, I'm gunna freak out" - brilliant work, another Emmy consideration for Jim this episode.

Oh and "you were reading pretty loud last night"  great delivery by Johnny,

I've watched it 3 times and could watch it again.

Then I realised that this is episode 7.20  7.20.

only 4 more to come  ;(

Oh and that hairstyle was hot.

and I like Emily

Sheldon: "Geology is the Kardashians of science."

I bet money the Kardashians think that this means that Geology is cool, edgy and popular :)

Kim will want to take a selfie in a thong to show off her big geode.

I was unspoiled and they had me going - I thought that was well done and pretty funny - I aslo think when Sheldon finally does have his first time, it will be something crazy and unexpected and not necessarily with Amy.

I have to say, I'm growing more fond of Howard, and every single person on this show is a brilliant actor, but Simon is standing out to me more and more, he really is a great actor.   The double date gave me the most LOLs last night.

I adore Howard too and think Simon is a very talented actor. Wish the writers would give his character more material to work with lately...

Enjoyed the "I kiss girls now" line. Funny to think drunk Sheldon thought Stephen Hawking needed to know that. :)

The ventriloquist bit was really funny. Liked L/P banter about getting a bear. Really liked Emily. The tag went on too long.

The episode was good and it did make me laugh in places, but what I really enjoyed was the double date.  It's great to see Raj potentially getting a girlfriend that might last and also fit in with the rest of the group.

No disrespect to anyone but the over-abundance of Sheldon is starting to grate on me just a bit.  Just how I feel...

I don't know if it was INTERESTING to me, plot-wise, but at least it was funny. Sheldon's had problems with his career this year, and that seems to be coming to a head. Raj hasn't had the best dating life even if he can talk to women, and he's finally met one who can make him relax and laugh, and while there's a bit of her which seems almost too normal for this gang, her interest in "cutting people with knives" suggests to me that she might actually fit right in. Even if she's not the crazy coots that Bernadette and Amy were when we first met them (and let's be honest, they have significantly normalized since their introductions anyway, so why not start with a girl who is more or less normal and make her a bit more crazy as things progress. Might work better) I just plain ole unabashedly LIKE her and want to see more of her with Raj and the rest of the gang.

The only thing that made me stop and emit a Scooby Doo "Roh roh?" was Penny telling Sheldon he was up early. Now, I know that Penny used to be on a waitress schedule where she worked late into the evening and slept in late, and maybe she's adjusted lately to being more on Leonard's schedule since she quit her job, but the idea of early morning riser Penny didn't really jibe quite right.

Sheldon and the Geology book was funny, as was Howard and his Clogzilla story. I really like the fact that Emily had a sense of humor about it, because obviously she'll need to hold onto that attitude to fit in with this group of oddballs.

Besides, any episode is better with a touch of mocking Bawwy! I was happy to see him, and I have to admit that the honest look of hurt and despair on Sheldon's face when Barry is teasing him made me feel for the poor guy. I do wonder where we'll go from here....will Sheldon stick to his love of String Theory, or try something new?

(And hey, Koops, did you get a giggle when Barry called himself a "String Theory Realist?" Reminded me of the "Shamy Realists" and otherwise past giggle fests over such titles. Or perhaps you were too lost in some delusional, Byzantine, unrepenting Shamy-worshipping romance-o-crat tizzy to notice that. Which I mean in a nice way, of course.)

@Kasey - Sheldon is my favorite character and even I am getting tired of his shenanigans. This has really been a Sheldon-centric season, and if there's not some pay off at the end of it about his "deal" and his "career" I suggest we get out the brooms and go on a frolick at Comic Con or something.

I still love Sheldon an ALL of his shenanigans.  I think we already know what his deal is, even if he hasn't found out how to dive in yet.

I laughed out loud all through this episode and Penny's "you're up early" line didn't even bother me.  In the grand scheme of things, that one sentence doesn't really mean anything.

It didn't bother you?!?!?!

I'm shocked. SHOCKED I TELL YOU.

Usually you're so nitpicky, phanta. Hating on this, hating on that. Always so bothered by everything. Always stopping by to tell us how bothered you are. Always pointing out how we should all be bothered more just like you.

What's happening to you? Why are you losing your touch? When will anything in the TBBT actually f'ing bother you?!

Swear to god, they can shoot Sheldon to the moon where he wins a Nobel Prize for finding out it really is made of cheese and that would not bother you.

(This rant brought to you with love. And perhaps a suggestion to start a "DOES IT BOTHER PHANTA? drinking game. If we all have our hearts set on getting totally wasted, of course.)

Actually I was mildly bothered by Amy's mocking of Sheldon in the butter scene.  Not that I didn't think the scene was hilarious, but as I said on the other forum, in the tiny world of "if these were real people" I feel like Amy's mocking was a little mean, no matter how sick of his ranting she was.  Because she pretended she was going to take him seriously and then was so sarcastically over the top--in a way she knew he wouldn't catch onto--it was a little mean.

But of course, everyone else thought that was a silly observation... :icon_rolleyes:

But as I said, in the grand scheme of the big story, these little things don't induce ranting in me.  The things that bother me are usually more about people's reactions to things, not the things themselves.

I'm not bothered by Sheldon and Penny hanging out (though I did question the need to reinforce their friendship at the beginning of the season, as if it were something new.)

I'm not bothered by the slowed pace of the Lenny--I like that they're focusing on Penny's career and making a large arc out of that development.

I'm digging Emily and I hope that works out for Raj, at least going into next season if not right away.

Have I been ranting?  If so, I seem to have gotten over it. ;)

This was an awesome episode, in my opinion.  I laughed so hard when Sheldon woke up next to the Geology book. (Those tricky, tricky writers, playing a number on us!) The last two episodes have been hilarious.  Keep it coming, big bang.  ;)
