Anyone else wondering if any of the games they are playing are real? I know that 3D chess is really a thing. I know this becuase I was looking up chess boards and came across a 3D chess board. Now I dont know how much of the rules Sheldon explained are true or not but I didnt buy the game, the rules or know how to play it. There is other game show that I would really love to play though.

Well they are using the Tri-Dimensional Chess set seen in Star Trek. I believe they have developed rules for that

variant of 3D chess over the years. 3D chess is real, but it seems to be a bit of a niche within chess from what I've read.

I know that Settlers of Catan (seen in "The Recombination Hypothesis") is a real game. There's even a Star Trek variant of it. I'd like to play it one day just for the opportunity to say, "I have sheep, but I need wood. Who has wood for my sheep?" :)

Mystic Warlords of Ka'a was invented for the show, likely as a riff on Magic: The Gathering, but became a real game in 2011.
