  • The cheeky smile Penny gives Leonard when she jokes about knowing Klingon is a regret and his smile back - they were so at peace with each other in that moment
  • "You, you stupid pop tart!"
  • "Next time I get married, it will be for love!"
  • "oh, Jewelry!.....oh my god Lakers tickets!"
  • "Oh my god....Yes!"
  • Penny spending money on rose petals!
  • That purple nightie!! (and the real commitment to making Leonard happy -and it wasn't just sex: she gave up sports night for him too)
  • The look on Penny's face when she realised he bought her a car and the hallway scene (would have been better if he'd told Sheldon to @#%$ )
  • Supporting Leonard when the Serial Apeist director attacks him ( I prefer to dismiss the split second nod to his "isn't she too hot for you" barb)
  • Presenting herself as his Christmas gift
  • "I do have you" ( I don't care if she was drunk...that was sincere)
  • Walking off at the train station hand in hand
  • The beer bottle clink and smile at the bar after getting fired when she laughs at him thinking he is 5 feet six

No pillow talk but a lot of real emotional development instead. Enjoyed the season's Lenny story - understated but real.

My favorite is in the Romance Resonance when she is showing Leonard the stuff in her box. His facial expression about how touched he is that she kept all that stuff is beautiful. Also I love the idea of the 11 page thank you letter for sleeping with him. I mean honestly how many times can you really write thank you. It makes me laugh just thinking about it. :)

Wasent that S5? I think thats when Penny was reminded of why she liked Leonard in the first place, as she grew up and no longer cld tolerate dumb gym guy types, it was Lennys emotional bond, that she had never had with any guy she been with. As for the physical side, well i think in one of their pillow talks in S3, she was like "wow you really are a genius" so their you go lol. I think Penny ever since the pilot has always hd underlying feelings, but S7 was the really the season she fell in love with Leonard now take that for being corny haha. S3 they were experimenting, S5 they entered a beta version type relationship to iron out bugs. S6-7 has been the result of that, and Penny re-evaulating her life choices, and deconstructing her self actulization, shes now fully embraced not only can she do no better then the geek from across the hall, but that they have a unspoken bond and shes his princess, okay this corniness is getting out of cntrl :p.

I totally agree 3ku11, season 7  is the best of all. What can i say, Lenny are simply the best.  A Romeo and Juliet story "in a canvas called universe played in the futher beaches of the cosmos."  as Leonard said on the lab episode.

Especially loved The Scavenger Vortex when Leonard and Penny, laboring under misconceptions (self-created and humiliatingly imposed), spent the entire show trying to prove themselves to one other. But ultimately, for me, nothing beats "You! You stupid Pop-Tart!"

I haven't seen all the episodes yet, but so far I liked the scene in The Friendship Turbulence when Leonard buys Penny the car as it shows how much he supports and wants the best for her. Also Penny's box of keep sakes in The Romance Resonance.

It was a hard choice.  I loved seeing Lenny get engaged but the episode where we get to see Penny's box of Leonard stuff was great too.  It shows that Penny really fell for Leonard along time ago, at least as far back as season three if not before.

I'm of the thinking that Penny intrinsically wanted Leonard from the moment they meet, they have obvious extrinsic and external differences, but have always thought intrinsically always were very compatible. Both have very similar parents, in terms of their relationships with their parents, their relationships with their parents are very passive aggressive. Wyatt refers to Penny as his little "slugger" which obviously from a psychological stand point effected Penny and maybe one of the reason when it came to dating, she focused on a certain type. Bev talks to Leonard like "Please Leonard I am not in the mood for your deep seeded maternal issues". And another reason is society allowed her based on her looks to skate through life, but after highschool and moving to LA at 19 living with Kurt for four years, then that ending she had no real qualifications, and expected as she had done in her entire life that stardom would just fall into place. Naivity is a big part of the premise of her character, I have too say Leonard's family prepared him for life much better, has a docerate and a degree, and regardless of what Sheldon Cooper says is very succesfull. Obviousley since Season Four Penny has become more real, and has re evaluated the life choices in her life. Go even back to S1 that little look when Leonard and Leslie broke up which of course Leonard stressed over, Penny getting all jealous in S1 when Leonard and Leslie were getting it on. But she always kept Leonard at arms length, partly due to being young and free spirited, but also partly due gender roles and societiies and conventions and rules, Leonard was not her type, to Leonard any hot girl was his type, hence the first attraction. But as you saw in Middle Earth S1 Leonard if he just wanted to sleep with her he would of, but the fact he didn't and implied she is "perfect" showed Leonard was more interested in her being a regular part of his life.

But Penny's not perfect she's imperfect, but Leonard still see's her as perfect regardless. Penny clearly didn't commit to Leonard in the past based on her own insecurities, and the fact her past relationships were a indicator for her anyway of future behaviour, she had said the L word many times in the past and it didn't end well, and apart from Leonard being her neighbour they were becoming friends and she didn't want to ruin that. Obviousley by S6 she was starting to embrace her lot in life, and deconstruct her self actualization, and embrace she is meant to be with Leonard the Ted and Robin of BBT :p. But she at that point not have to re evaluate her life choices, be with Leonard and have some success in hre career what ever that is.  Obviousley their are a lot of people saying a hot girl would not fall for a loser beta male, but that's the endering thing about the show reversing and deconstructing gender roles and types, the "nerd" getting the girl. I do think the writers have done an amazing job with the story arch of Lenny, from the pilot to S7, pretty good continuity. But I have always had problems with the way they have written Penny, they wrote her initial disposistion was down on her luck girl and a aspiring actress with a perky adorable personality to boot. She is now just down on her luck girl who happens to be acting because she has no other choices. Look at Friends they way they wrote Rachel, quit her job by S3, and found a passion for Fashion. Daddy's girl, mataralistic who grew up. Part of those characteristics define Penny, and part of them don't.

They took seven seasons to progress her acting career, or she did for seven years was fall back on her comfy lifestyle and her support network next door, and fall in love with the geeky nerd next door, she never really pushed her self. If she wanted it enough, she would of found a way to stand out from the crowd, but I think her acting career was a dead end ever since Barbarian Sublim, when she said the casting execs said she is too much of a "type". Obviousley her acting career has picked up in Season 7, but at 28 in acting years still young enough seeing most of the actresses who break in are not always 18-25, but with no real cv, and contacts not really pushing her self. One has to wonder was she really passionate about acting, or the idea of stardom. So I also think not only did her parents not drop the ball, but could of supported their daughter a lot more, sending out their precosious little girl out to the world without any real education or qualifications at all. And the fact she has no distinctive qualities about her at all when it comes to acting. But she did get that part in NCIS, so obviously she can act.

It was difficult, but definitively I chose the Lenny's moment in The romance resonance. It's indicative of how their relationship works. No romantic striking gesture, but many small things / goals achieved during the years.

Then Leonard buys Penny a car: the scene was cute and well acted. And the new Penny's awareness with "You, stupid pop tart"!

^Yeah I also enjoyed the subltey of that. I mean it took her six years to tell Leonard she loves him, now suddenly she is just randomly dropping it in conversation :icon_cheesygrin:, That's S6 though not S7.

I think on the last episode, it showed perfectly how Lenny work together when they went to say goodbye to Sheldon at the train station. To me there pivotal episodes when Lenny show feelings each other.  The on first Halloween episode, on their first date, clearly a lot of tension could be seen. The saddest episode of all, when Kurt kisses Penny at the new years party and Leonard is totally crushed and sad. When Leonard came back from the North Pole trip, clearly they missed each other.  The shooting range episode, one of sweetest.  The episodes with Phryia, clearly Leonard had Penn on his mind all the time and he was hurting but did not want to show it. But season six and seven their love for each other came to the surface. GO LENNY

My favourite moment or one of them, not big but when Penny's check light finally broke down, and needed a new car. I know a lot of people deconstructed as Leonard bailing Penny out again. But people are so cynical, when your in a requited relationship or equal partnership that Lenny are now in one. That means what mine is yours, it's an unspoken bond that needs no qualifying. You could argue Penny is kinda naïve by quitting her job, I understand putting all her energy into acting, but that didn't mean qutting her job, the only means of income she had. But what did people think was going to happen, oh my car broke down, oh my bf dumped me because I have no car, hey stranger can I have a penny? haha I mean seriously of course Leonard was going to step in. Look at the history of the show every time Penny has a crisis Leonard is their, when she was struggling with rent when Sheldon gave her money haha he's good for something, Leonard went over and helped her out with her accounts. He even when all the guys chickend out, went to Kurt stood up to him, which ultimately ended up with Kurt getting back together with Penny. That told me then, he doesn't want Penny for sex, he wants her for her personality, and even though Penny ended up with someone else, he was happy because Penny was happy. Penny finally has a guy in her life, who cares about her needs above their own, anyway that is why I really liked the car scene. So he cares about Penny's happiness, it only just happens Penny's true happiness lies with Leonard.

One of the great things about season 7 was the things between them that were just hinted at. In The Raiders Minimization, we find that they go out to watch sporting events in bars with some of Penny's other friends (not Leonard's favorite activity). In The Romance Resonance we learn that they've been to a Bread & Breakfast (where they had so much "fun" furniture was broken). In that episode we also found that Penny uses what Raj calls the "one arrow in her quiver" with Leonard. A lot! Throughout most of the season, there was a certain comfort between them. Even when they were arguing! Her eye rolls over certain statements and actions by and from Dr. Cooper dispel statements tat she is often taking the whackadoodle's side against her fiancee's.

Long story short: so, so many favorite Leonard & Penny moments this season!

I just re watched season 7 for like the 4th time since it ended and now I am sitting here trying to decide which is my favourite L/P moment. Well I have come the conclusion that all the L/P moments are my favourites and I can't chose because I love them all equally. :)
