You can be stating a fact at someone's attractiveness and still be saying they're attractive, if Sheldon didn't exprience an arousal at handling penny's breast then why did he hold it for so long and then peek, if he wasn't experincing it a little.

Oh god no, it was just an honest mistake. Like when you accidentally see one of your siblings naked and you are compelled to look anyway. Morbid curiously and surprise. I do not believe for a minute that he was aroused. In the first episode when Leonard mentioned he was a 'semipro' at masturbation, the writers admit they had not developed his character traits yet. Not until about the 4th episode. So this can be disregarded as it's only in the pilot.

Sheldon's sexuality is something that has yet to be discovered. It's possible they may explore this in the future.

It might have been a mistake but then how do you explain he kept his hand there until penny said something or that he peaked you can't compare that to a sibling or you shouldn't.

Why not dismiss what happened the first few episodes with every character then because the writers were just figuringthem out.

Yes, it would make sense that they were still working on the other characters personalities as well. But I only read this in regards to Sheldon. It's on wikipedia under, Sheldon Cooper.

I do think he was curious. It would have been the first time he's touched one.

That means at some point he's been attracted and maybe even sexually attracted to penny and this might be his only chance to see penny naked and touch something, it also means he has the same hormones as the rest of us no matter how much he tries to deny or control or ignore them.

I'm going to go out on a limp here and say you're a Shenny shipper.

For one it's limb, not sure what that has anything to do with it or not, and all I know a guy has to be at least curious or attracted or interested in said woman when he peaks or looks and doesn't let go immediately of a certain body part.

Okay sugar, there's no need to flirt with me. If he was turned on, he wouldn't have admitted he looked.

I/m not sure by him admitting to penny he peaked that means he wasn't, plus him admitting it was him asking why she has a tattoo of soup when it's supposed to be courage.

my favourite episode by far simply because the boys got stoned to bits. i can totally relate to that. really wish sheldon was with them but i dunno, maybe sheldon getting high would permanently ruin his character.???

also sheldon seeing penny naked was nice.

CBS has announced the details of November 16th's episode, The Adhesive Duck Deficiency, the eighth episode of the season.

"The Adhesive Duck Deficiency" - With Leonard, Howard and Raj away camping in the desert, an injured Penny has only Sheldon to rely on, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Monday, Nov. 16 (9:30-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

You can find more information about the episode in our Episode Guide.

I liked this episode mostly though how realistic is it that Penny can be heard through 4 closed doors and a running shower and that Penny despite having a dislocated shoulder still managed to have a towel wrapped round her

She had the shower curtain wrapped around her, prolly from grabbing it as she started to fall.

Trivia Point of Interest:

While out in the desert to view the meteor shower, Raj gave their geo-location as 34.48 degrees north and 118.48 degrees west...which places them at Vasquez Rocks Park: http://en.wikipedia....i/Vasquez_Rocks

Vasquez Rocks has been the scene of several Star Trek episodes including the one where Captain Kirks rolls a rock onto Gorn the Reptilioid Alien. :shy:

Whoops...I wasn't the first to make this connection...please see:

I thought it was the shower curtain that she had grabbed down to cover herself with.

This is one of my favourite episodes by far, I can't stop laughing throughout  the hole episode, and I love the finale soft kitty moment, when Sheldon is singing to Penny :icon_cheesygrin:

I like both Sheldon/Penny and Leonar/Howard/Raj scenes but I can't stop thinking of what would had happenned if Sheldon had gone with the boys to the dessert. :o

One of my favorites from this season! Of course I knew Sheldon helping Penny was going to be hilarious but I was surprised by how funny the camping trip with the other guys turned out to be! Raj a king of rabbits, Leonard hating his name, Howard and his cousin!! I personally don't do weed or any drugs but it is usually very funny when I see it on TV. Leonard: I feel we're missing something... *meteor shower overhead* Haaaa. Sheldon's creepy acts of 'comfort'. 'There there... Sheldon's here.' Easily 10/10 episode for me.

Shouldn't Penny's car have been displaying something akin to L-Plates (maybe a "Driver under instruction." notice), while Sheldon was driving it?

We already had this discussion in another thread.  In the U.S., laws for people with just a learners permit are very different from yours.  The license on the car only show who's car it belongs to.  Not who's driving it.  And as long as the owner gave permission and the driver is licensed (or has a learners permit with a license driver in the passengers seat), insurance company's are fine with it.

And we don't have "L-plates" here.  Although we do have special plates for habitual drunk drivers in the state of Ohio.

It's pretty much the same here, except the person it's registered to, is not necessarily the legal owner.

So there's no indication whatsoever, that the person behind the wheel, is not a fully licensed driver?

Here in the states, the one it's registered to is the legal owner.

Nope.

This is still a contender for my all-time favourite episode. Sheldon and Penny's usual behaviour to each other then was sparring and Sheldon was often rude or contemptuous, which made scenes like these where Sheldon cared for Penny more powerful. I don't think Sheldon's rescuing Penny and taking her to hospital necessarily proves affection for her, as there's no reason to think he wouldn't have done that much for a stranger - although comically self-centered, I think S is meant to be basically very decent. But continuing to look after her and singing SK was touching.

I've wondered since first seeing this ep - who or what payed for Penny's treatment? Presumably casual waitresses don't get health benefits, and Penny was always on the edge financially. Did Sheldon pay?

I'm presuming she had insurance? But I agree this was the SP I loved. The Comic SP and their innocent and sweet frienship. I am not a fan of how they changed that dynamic over the years. IT was just hilarous to me. this guy Sheldon put in a position with all his phobias e.t.c. Helping out this chick, who wanted someone more equipped like LEonard lol. But that's why they did this episode. It's a comedy.
