But I am here everyday and I love reading all the wonderful posts as well as the taping reports. I hope that the actions of a few thoughtless people tweeting the writers won't spoil this for the rest of us. I am just as excited as everyone else for the prom episode and yes I was a little disappointed about the hug but as others have pointed out tweeting the writers will achieve nothing and may just cause problems. I am just grateful that we have people who go to the tapings and give us ANY info at all you are all wonderful and appreciated. As are the regular posters like Mj, koops , kazzie....etc who say everything I wish I could and so much better than I could lol. We all know that there are to be ten seasons and that Shamy are endgame, so I planned to enjoy the journey by fangirling hard over the good stuff and brushing off the bad. phantagrae Posted October 21, 2014 Share Posted October 21, 2014 As I said earlier, we can make whatever pacts we want--and I do think that we should try to contain spoiler information to this forum (and the other forum, since there's so much crossover between members and sources) HOWEVER, I think that TPTB recognize that spoiler information doesn't come from any one source. As long as we're not breaking any rules (and we're not, since there's no Non-Disclosure document to sign), there's really no reason for TPTB to want to shut down this board. And even if they did, that wouldn't stop a bazillion people from posting what they see at a taping on tumblr or FB or twitter or whatever social media they use. Nowadays, I think it's half-expected by the studios for people to talk up episodes online. Otherwise they wouldn't release promo pics and clips all over the place. As long as we're not the ones pestering the writers/producers about what they did "wrong" or whatever, I don't think we have anything to worry about. And we can't do anything about the idiots in the world who will do things like that. Social media gives a lot of people a sense of entitlement or a sense of personal contact. They feel they can talk to Bill the way they'd talk to their best friends or their other twitter mates. They feel they can give direct feedback when they don't like something. And in some ways, Bill's openness on twitter kind of invites it. He doesn't deserve the crap, but he also freely shares some things on twitter. Just as all celebrities walk a fine line with their fans when they use twitter, IG, FB or whatever, Bill's going to get respectful followers and idiots. That's life online nowadays. But I think that we've been doing okay here. Yes, sometimes we get a bit overzealous about taping reports, plucking at coat sleeves for information, but I don't think anyone has been really all that harsh--not that I've seen personally, anyway. Yeah, we all say things like "Spill!" or whatever, but I think that's only natural and not something to beat ourselves (or other posters) up over. Those of us who like to be spoiled are always going to be eager, especially since we have a ready source of info and we're kind of organized in keeping track of who's going and who's willing to write up a report. We're organized and ready, but I don't think that's a bad thing. As long as we're all grateful and respectful, I don't think our current setup is a problem. They wouldn't take it out as a punishment. They really only change things to suit the episode, not to toy with the audience. She was visably nervous about saying those words to someone other to family for the first time in her life. To have him say "I love you too" with her being unable to articulate her words, threw her into a panic attack, it was so unexpected. Sheldon doesn't bandy about "I love you's". They have, so far, been reserved for his mother, memaw and Leonard. (He told Penny that he loves her, but that was in the midst of a dominorgasm so it doesn't count).
