Season 8 is already my favourite season

Yes I'm pretty excited to watch it too !

I know Shamy are - how to say that - in slow motion ... but I just love the way they just are.

And believe me, I got more frustrated in the past with an another couple who NEVER kissed in the TV show (AU don't count).

(FYI, I'm talking about Sam & Jack in SG1)

I'm so happy with Shamy ...  :icon_redface:

@Crystalie I really have to ask. Where is this quote from??

From the big article about TBBT and season 8 (as I can't post links here, I'll send you what I found on Tumblr by PM)

"It's tough to see him knock her down week in week out"

Tell me about it!!! :p He also says that he'll keep resisting and she'll keep trying or something along those lines and I am not too keen on that either. But the part Crystalie quoted is pretty exciting!!! Thanks for the link I would never have found that!!

Me, right now: tumblr_mhcr7dJB1f1rn4qwao4_250.gif

I cannot believe STEVE of all people has given me a shot of adrenaline/hope. I cannot even finish eating dinner because my stomach clamped up from the excitement/disbelief.

eta: Ok, I posted my excitement before reading back, and I'm not sure what is NOT new about this interview?! It's the first time Molaro has ever talked about Shelond being attached to her and the stuff that SHE cares about starting to be important for him too. AND, on top of that, the first time they publicly admit that Sheldon IS interested in a physical relationship underneath it all. What is there NOT to be excited about?! This is all new stuff!

I just reblogged the article to my own tumblr (Lionne6), so if you want to find it, you can find it there.

I find the article pretty exciting. Last summer Molaro talked a lot about Shenny, and Sheldon and Penny finding friendship with each other. We thought that was odd and he couldn't be serious that that was were the focus would be, but we were wrong. That was a huge focus of the first episode of the season, and it was a theme that lasted throughout the season, so for whatever reason bringing Sheldon and Penny closer as friends as something Molaro wanted to accomplish.

A lot stands out in this article which gives me hope - that Sheldon will be changed by his journey. (Which I have from one source will last 45 days.) That Sheldon is still resistant but also curious underneath it all, and that the more attached to Amy be becomes the more he cares what she wants and needs. That's the sort of thing which, like the Sheldon and Penny growing closer last season, indicates there will be a taste of it in the season opening episodes, but also last as a theme through the season. They usually set up the season's problems and themes in the first two episodes, so. Now I guess we'll see how this all pans out, but I would assume from this that Sheldon and Amy are going to grow closer, so perhaps no break up. It also says that Amy is going to keep pushing, and I'm not sure I like the sound of that, but again we'll have to see how it plays out.

I think it's more positive for Shamy and their development than last summer's interview with Molaro was, so I feel hopeful about it.

What I find interesting is, that Molaro actually acknowledges that it's hard to see Amy knocked down by Sheldon so often. To be honest, I wasn't sure if one of them see it like that. I thought they found it all "hilariously" funny. Who knew?!

I think that's what excites me the most. I couldn't believe it when I read it!! I had to check twice!! :p

After Lio's thoughtful response, you can all figure out who's Penny and who's Leonard in that gifset out of the two of us :p

Did anyone actually read the article? It basically said nothing important is happening this season. No wedding, no babies, sporadic physical contact is possible, but not guaranteed. But Molaro's not planning on changing apartments or anything crazy! They might joke about it... but don't worry... nothing is going to happen...

That's not how they roll on BBT.

Buckle up for season 9 and 10 I guess, that's when the shit's going down? But not this year. To the best of his knowledge at this time.

But just in case you were worried, Sheldon might be over trains. That was the only big change that was kind of promised,

Thank God Stuart is going to be squatting at Debbie's! That's actually happening!

I am glad he talked about Shamy, but wow king of not saying anything.

Did *you* read the article and compare it to Molaro's previous interviews? Or you do not remember them at all? I personally do not want nor expect weddings, babies, sex, big melodramas or changes of living arrangements. I want Sheldon to start CARING about Amy and her needs, I want to see him be invested in the relationship like she is and I want confirmation that he is not going to have sex with her just to make her happy and keep her. That is all I want from this season. And this is exactly what Molaro is talking about on here. To me, this is incredibly encouraging, since Molaro has never before been so clear about what Sheldon actually feels and wants out of this relationship.

OW! Yes, I know already! OW!

They had been consistent on saying they were not eager for babies on the show, so I'm not surprised that they are repeating the fact that they are not going to go there with Howard and Bernadette. (At least not yet.) But you never know. As as far marriage, perhaps that's how this season will end - a wedding for Penny and Leonard. Or it'll wait until season 9. It sounds to me like they are in no hurry to move things along too quickly, and I don't judge them on that.

For me, personally, babies and weddings are the final destination of a journey. I'm not really in a rush to get to the final destination, although I'd prefer not to have to wait until the finale of season 10 to see Penny and Leonard get married. I'd prefer that would happen at the end of this season, so we can move onto other issues. Besides there's plenty of fodder for things AFTER a wedding for them to explore, just as I think there's plenty of fodder to see what happens AFTER Sheldon and Amy become more intimate as well. I've had enough build up to that; if there's anything I hope they'll accomplish this season it's that they'll finally bite the bullet on Sheldon's "deal" and reveal it once and for all.

Yeah what I meant with Nothing new was no new spoiler about Shamy. But I agree that the way Molaro speaks about them is very new, and it gives me hopes about this season. In a way I guess that is a spoiler that exciting stuff are coming up!

Right, yes! that's true, no new spoilers. But to me this is even better than spoilers because they can spoil you one episode but that might be forgotten after a couple of weeks, whereas this speaks more to me about a general shift in perspective in the way they are going to write Shamy, even though it's not going to be a sudden massive change with Sheldon sweeping her off her feet the moment he comes back to Pasadena.

I already was pretty optimistic about S8 but now I'm really excited! This sounds like good things are to happen for Shamy! :)

yea, I enjoyed that too.  I think its the first time he publicly admitted that they do know he doesn't treat her right and reconize it!!!
