Amy's arms around Sheldon's neck, his hand on her thigh

O m f g if its anything like the above pic

I thought it was the actual promo and I freaked out for a moment.

I have seen only one promo pic of Mary and Beverly shaking hands, but that's all I've seen from 8.23.

I'm gonna have a panic attack when the 8.24 are released. They said photos were taking while they were making out, so, the kiss has be part of them

I wonder if it's going to be in the promo.

If they show making out in the promo for 8.24, I don't want to see it.

I Kind of feel the Same way. I Kinda don't want to take that Magic away if you know what I mean, if that is Even possible

Ah, interesting. So something happened in between to increase her confidence. Which, I guess, either makes her insecurities less easy to explain, or makes her feeling of letdown at Sheldon's dumb pop-culture interpolation even more devastating.

I continue to pout at being deprived onscreen of the moments between those chaste kisses and the 'necking' (awwww, Shelly).

ETA: I keep forgetting to say thanks so much for the info and analysis, Maddie!

hell yes I wanted to See the Start of the First make out, both shy at the beginning and then totally melting into it. I feel you sister

He is more into the kiss, isn't he? That always intrigued me- such a pointed acting choice from Bialik. I'm sure it's deliberate (because Bialik is awesome), and I was really hoping that we would get a little more into the question of Amy's reactions during the kisses. No such luck, sadly- as koops says, the show's more interested in Sheldon (no judgement per se*, it's just a pity).

A question: does that continue in the makeout that we see (i.e. Sheldon seems relaxed and confident, while Amy's as stiff as a board)? Or no?

ETA: * You know what? Screw no judgement. Amy is a very interesting character, and Parsons and Bialik are arguably the strongest performers on the show. I would like to get some Amy POV.

I've always thought, with the date night kiss, that the reason Amy didn't appear as into it was more to do with the logistics of filming that scene. Mayim and Jim probably couldn't get too involved in the motions of a kiss because they were aware dialogue was coming up in the scene and Jim would eventually have to break the kiss to speak. As a result, I feel they were both quite timid to ensure their lips could stay connected as it all played out so it was a smooth transition from kissing to speaking to kissing to speaking, etc.

That's just how I took it, but I wouldn't put it past the writers to have written it like that for a specific plot purpose.

They DID NOT show the SIK( train kiss )in the promo, and I think they did the same with the Colonization hug!

This is different, though, because it's at the beginning of the episode.  The SIK and colonization hug were at the end of the episode.

Presumably some of you will be changing your profile pics to the makeout scene.  Do people usually wait until after the episode airs to do that?  I've been on this forum for nearly 2.5 years but never noticed.  :fool:

Edit, its not shamy before you all have heart attacks!

Amy's arms were higher, almost parallel with Sheldon's shoulders. Sheldon was half on his spot and half on hers. They still seemed a little unsure on what to do with their arms because they didn't move them much. But they sure knew what to do with their lips!
