I'm a little late to tune in into praising the awesomeness of the hug and the whole episode. I just saw the episode and I am (almost) speechless about how cute and lovely they were. The hand holding at the beginning and the speech about taking their relationship to the next level! Seriously, for a moment I didn't know what was happening! Did they set a date for coitus?! Will they get married?! Move in together?! But getting a pet was great too ;)

The whole time I couldn't stop thinking how much Sheldon has changed. And how affectionate he is to her now. I just love it! The hug is now one of my all time favourite Shamy moments. It was, as many if you have already said, perfect.

I was at the taping of that episode and seriously I thought I was going to have a freakout during the first take of the cold open. I totally thought it was set a date for coitus or get married or move in together. My heart was beating so fast. It was so well done, that it made you really think that they were going to do something like that. The pet thing was super cute though. I wish they would have kept the turtle. :icon_biggrin:

And the hug  is one of my favorite all time Shamy moments for sure. It might be number 2 for me, with SIK 1 being number 1. He is just so affectionate and they are so in love. They are in the honeymoon phase and I love it.

We didn't.

Sheldon went home that night, counted out 56 fava beans into a bowl, sized it up and said, "all right, Dr. Fowler, we can work with that."

Just one question, when are these two gonna make out? I mean look at the love.

From last night's episode, I loved the cold open.  CBS had made a FB post of that scene and titled it "Proof that Amy knows how to speak Sheldon".  That title says it all...she "gets" him.

Oh that must have been amazing to be there! Lucky you! :)

I would have liked if they would have kept Guiseppe too. A turtle is the perfect pet for them! Also I think it would have been cute and funny to see them taking care of it. And it would have been the perfect reason to cohabitat. Sheldon could ask her, because it really isn't fair to Guiseppe to live without his mommy and daddy together and that their baby turtle misses her so much when she is not around. But of course the real reason would be that he misses her and wants her to be there all the time.

Did you read Lost In The Sun's fan fic? You would enjoy it [emoji3]

I would die of happiness if Sheldon referred to Amy as Guiseppe's mommy. He already referred to himself as daddy, so the potential was there.

Also I really want there to be some kind of living arrangement storyline to come up at the end of the season. I still want them to sleep in the same bed with no sex. A sleepover in separate rooms would be cool too. I wonder if Leonard will end up moving out at the end of this season. I think the Sheldon Leonard paper will probably come up again and be a central point to the final episodes this season.

The living situation was mentioned so often, I think it will be a topic this season again. Hopefully with a solution. However, I agree about the sleepovers. I really want them to have those before they move in together. I don't care neither if or if not they sleep in the same bed at first. Like with Leonard moving out, Amy could move in gradually.

Maybe Leonard and Sheldon get a prize or something for their theory? That would be cool.

A Nobel Prize, maybe? :pleasantry:

It would be funny if they both got sent off to work on the theory somewhere. Then two characters would be sent off at the end of the season instead of the typical one.

Maybe Leonard will move out at the end of the season, and there will be some kind of cliffhanger involving Amy moving in.

I'm really warming up to the "prize" idea. This is how I imagine it: Sheldon is all excited and goes to Amy's place to tell her the great news. She's of course happy and both agree to a congratulating hug. They do and he's holding her tightly and then Sheldon says almost whispering "I think a congratulating kiss would be acceptable too.". A slighly surprised Amy agrees, and they kiss... long and longer... and we get our first steamy-ish make out scene on the couch. :girlsigh:

This would also work if Leonard and Sheldon get sent off to work on the theory somewhere. :)

I think it's very probable that the living situation issue will be a part of the final episodes. Since they got engaged nothing really happened for Lenny and I think moving in "full time" with each other is the next logical step. This of course opens the door for Amy so to speak. I really want Sheldon to be the one to ask Amy to move in. But I think that he probably needs some time to get there to want this. Which brings us back to the sleepovers...

I love your sample make out story. You manage to squeeze in a hug and a make out into the same scene. :girlinlove:

I do not want Amy to ever mention living together again. I absolutely want Sheldon to bring it up again. I am excited for the end of the season, but I am still sad because it feels like it went by really quick. I know we still have 6 new episodes, but it still feels like it is almost over.

Rubbish day at work was made better by sharing the experience of the train kiss with someone! Hope she enjoys Clean Room when she gets to see it - the store scene was lovely!

Aww  I am happy your day was made better. It's cool to share your love of the show with someone else. I watched a fan made Shamy music video and it made my day better.

One week down in this dreadful hiatus. :)

Two weeks down in this dreadful hiatus. Only about a week and 12 hours left before we get a new episode. :icon_biggrin:

I had an interesting Shamy dream the other night. I dreamt that Sheldon and Amy were making out on the couch and I was just sitting on the other end of the couch awkwardly staring at them like a creeper. lol

Apparently even my subconscious wants them to make out.

Lol, I've had that make out dream too! :)
Sigh... I just watched Amelia and Cooper clip on YouTube. The way Cooper looks at Amelia when she poured out water to his tub... can't get over it. :)

Damn I just need to learn how to make gifs because I constantly look for ones that I need and can't find them. Since we both had dreams about a make out.

Insert gif of Amy in the Isolation Permutation "So that's happening" :danced:

Yay we finally got a new episode today! It feels like it has been forever! I am looking forward to new episodes. It looks like we will get a new episode every week until the end. Good bye hiatuses!

I want to bring up a point I had thought of when I saw the promo pics last week. This is the first time we have seen Amy's bedroom in its entirety. Sure we only saw it for a few moments in the final scene, but maybe they built her bedroom set because they know that Shamy will be in her bedroom again soon. Hey man, a girl can dream. :icon_biggrin:

How did you all like the recent episode? I liked it and it was funny (especially the tag scene :) ), but I have to admit that for some reason, I found the plots a bit shallow or somewhat disconnected to me. I don't know if I can put it to right words what I mean.

Dana, I thought about that too, that they built Amy's bedroom set on purpose, hopefully they will use it again soon. ;)

The overall episode was good to me. I am one of the people who thinks this season hasn't been that good overall. The Shamy stuff is amazing, but the season as a whole hasn't intrigued me as others in the past have.

It's probably pretty obvious but I liked the tag scene too. lol I was just hoping it was a little longer. As usual when I saw the promo pics with him dressed as the Doctor in her room, I imagined it to be a little longer and came up with a cute little scene in my head.

Also I'm sure I am not the only one who immediately thought of Amelia and her time traveling physicist during that scene. It was like her fanfic came to life, well sort of, I guess. :icon_razz:

The last ep was pretty good, and with only 2 plots it didn’t have the rushed feeling that some of the other episodes have had.

Amy playing ping pong was the highlight for me. The lowlight was the jokes about Raj being a woman. Referring to a man as a woman as an attempt to be insulting is a massive peeve of mine. It’s not a bad thing to be a woman, or to have qualities that are traditionally considered feminine.

As for the tag, I didn’t think Amy was using the TARDIS to foist physical intimacy onto Sheldon, although I’ve seen comments from many who thought so. To me it seemed much more innocent - an attempt to help them both be comfortable just being in a bedroom. Last time they were in/near a bedroom they were having matching panic attacks. The Doctor Who stuff was merely a useful pretext, an excuse to take one more tiny step forward, but it didn’t seem like a manipulative attempt at seduction or anything.

I found the episode okay. I totally related to Sheldon and Leonard. I would completely freak out would I have the chance to get into the Skywalker Ranch and sneak a peek.

The tournament had some funny moments too.

I am probably in the minority, but I'm not sure I liked the end. I did find Sheldon dressed as Doctor Who cute and funny, but I didn't particularly liked Amy's intention why she got the Tardis. I would prefer if she would not try to somewhat manipulate Sheldon into more physical intimacy. Maybe I misinterpreted it, but it started with Bernadette saying something like "If this doesn't get Sheldon into your bedroom, nothing will.". First I found that pretty mean again, like Amy will never get him into her bed just by being herself. And second, I don't like that Amy seems to think that too. Sheldon seriously needs to tell her that his reluctance has nothing to do with her.

I don't think you are the only one who didn't like the Doctor Who thing. It does make me a little mad sometimes when the other characters make fun of or are mean to Amy about Sheldon. I don't think Amy was trying to do it to get him in her bed for sex, as Rule 34 said above, I think it was more of an attempt to get them used to being in her bedroom together.

On a side note, on my Big Bang rewatch, I finally got to my favorite episode, The Cooper Extraction. I just love Amy's reaction to finding out she is Sheldon's screen savor. And Leonard telling her "Sheldon cares for you more than you think". It is a very sweet moment. I'm getting really close to that pivotal SIK moment. :)

I get kind of bored with those kind of jokes about Shamy as well. Thankfully I feel like there have been fewer this season than in past seasons. I try to not over think those little one line jokes and focus on the good ones. Luckily the little one liners have never ruined an episode for me.

About screen savor:

 I love Amy's, "and I'm the hottest one". :)

Yes, yes, yes. Please always give me Sheldon and Amy haggling with each other over just how intimate they're going to get. Just give it to me until they're negotiating what positions they're going to do and in what order and on what surfaces.

This would be like the greatest thing ever. Their negotiating is so much fun. I bet negotiating what positions will be like Shamy foreplay.
