TBBT78 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Not sure what I'd choose as a Lenny wedding song, but for me this would be my song of the season for them... cAntonio Santos Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 You are such a romantic! That's beautiful. When i close my eyes, I can see Penny and Leonard dancing to it at their wedding! i totally agree Strawberry PopTart Fan, Lenny are made for each other. Took Leonard seven years to conque Penny's heart. Some talk of Penny not being Leonard's the love is his life are pure rubish. Hello, since episode 1, they had always feelings for each other. Lenny rule and allways will. ps: yes i m Lenny defender. and allways positive things abount them, negative stuff abount them is just not cool. I really hope you're right but I think they won't get married until the last espisode of the series be it s10 or 11 S11, havent heard of anything that TBBT has been extended beyond S10, that would be awsome. Time for the couples, Lenny and Howardette to get litle Lennies or litle howdettes.
Carlos Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I personally wouldn't like for TBBT to go beyond 10 seasons. If the quality of the writing keeps decreasing like it has since the beginning of S7 by season 11 the show might be down right unwatchable. I am hoping for more focus on lenny & other characters next season. But I agree if we get S8 again in S9 lots of ppls will move on. Tonstar17 Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I read somewhere in that the producers had an option for a s11 The big three have an option for S11 & maybe 12 but depends if the actors are willing to sign as their current contract runs out at the end of S10 but who knows what the clauses are. Guest Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 If and when Lenny gets married the writers will probably treat it the way they did engagement when they announced it to the group. I thought it was a big let down

Carlos Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 What has always been starling to me is how they do things with long lasting negative effects for just 30 seconds of comedy. It robs important moments of heir real weight. Even the first ILY between Penny and Leonard had an unnecessary element of comedy (if I cry you'll cry, etc.) and was elevated by Johnny's and Kaley's performances. Don't get me started on the second ILY's. The way Penny said it to Leonard, the way Leonard responded, and that embrace was TV for the ages... ruined by Sheldon's presence, of course. (I'm talking about the season finale in the airport scene when Leonard goes on his boat trip). However have you realized how the important Shamy moments have been allowed to breathe as any more dramatic scene should? I'm talking about the D & D sex scene (except for the tag) and the first Sheldon ILY. Interesting, wouldn't you say? Shamy bias anyone? Writers?!?!?!?!? Yes!!!!!!! I'm talking to you writers

It robs important moments of heir real weight. That's always been their artistic choice for the show since it's a comedy first and foremost. Even the episode with Howard discovering the letter had jokes in them to break up the tension. Even the first ILY between Penny and Leonard had an unnecessary element of comedy (if I cry you'll cry, etc.) and was elevated by Johnny's and Kaley's performances. I'm talking to you writers The D & D sex still had jokes in them, AND their relationship got a fair share of mocking before that, that some Shamy's found shameful. Also on the Shamy ILY, that scene ended with Amy having a panic attack, and Sheldon telling her she can't have a panic attack in his room and on his bed. Those two moments had comedic moments that broke the dramatic tension just like Lenny's did, so I'm not sure where this claim that the writers are biased towards Shamy is coming from. Carlos Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Yeah Meka sure. Sheldon's presence in the airport scene was absolutely necessary and didn't muddle things... That WAS supposed to be an emotional scene and Sheldon's presence detracted from it, was not funny, and cheapened the whole thing. The emotional impact in the episode with the letter from Howard's father was ALSO cheapened by Sheldon's stupid and cringe inducing remarks. Why bother to attempt emotional moments at all if you are not going to let them breathe? I obviously understand TBBT is a comedy, but IMO if there are emotional moments and these are given their proper weight within the story telling the comedic moments shine even brighter. Maybe saying that the writers are biased towards Shamy is a tad inaccurate. They are biased towards Sheldon. Where does this claim come from? From watching the show. Where does any of this prove that long term damage is done in those scenes? How does Sheldon's presence in those scenes cheapen them if the scenes still get their point across? Also there's letting scenes breathe but there's also letting scenes become too maudlin or melodramatic, and sometimes having a joke there to break up the monotony is necessary. Of course YMMV just on how much emotion a scene needs before it becomes too sappy. For me, I felt Sheldon's comments in the letter episode, were a nice refresher from letting things become too dramatic. Sheldon's comments in the car neither made me laugh, nor made me cringe. But that's just me. They are biased towards Sheldon. Where does this claim come from? From watching the show. This doesn't prove Shamy's moments aren't given any comedic undertones to keep things from getting too mushy. So I still don't see where the claim that the writers are biased towards Shamy (or Sheldon) are coming from. At least on this specific aspect. Guest Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 I was thinking for me it would have been better if Lenny had not got engaged in s7 that way maybe s8 wouldn't have seemed so bad
Tonstar17 Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 They probably had two choices to delay them. Break em up or get em engaged. They went with the latter. Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk

Tonstar17 Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Definitely. But the weirdest thing is why get them engaged and then just ignore it like it didn't happen. I still can't get my head around it. It just doesn't make sense, to me anyway. Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk
veejay Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 ‚A couple of us got a backup plan and off to Mexico to meditate.‘ That’s what you call ‚a meditation‘? Sense, what sense? The writers are kidding us, that’s all. Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk Necessary evil, they wanted to show that both L & P were nervous about moving forward from engagement to wedding planning but they needed time to pass by to give the plot its necessary narrative weight. While I wasn't 100% thrilled about it, I feel both L & P being nervous about moving forward was in character when you consider the subtext in The First Pitch Insufficiency & The Expedition Approximation. cAntonio Santos Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 If they had broken them up they probably would have had more screen time together i think if the writers had Lenny break up on S7, probably legions of Lenny fans would be happy at all. Thank god they have them engaged, i hope Leonard's telling to Penny about the girl that kissed him does not become a problem to their wedding. I hope S9 foccus much more on Lenny and less on Shammy; S8 was the the Sheldon show basically , very boring. ( sorry tensor for deviating into Shammy conversatio on this thread ) Arriba LennyI think the TBBT bosses had Lenny get angaged due to the pressure of the vast legions of Lenny fans, come one, after seven years of courting; time for Lenny to take the plunge. So it is possible that the TBBT bosses do listen to the fans, after all us the fans are the ones that drive the TBBT foward. i meant, if the writers broker up Lenny, legions of fans of lennry would not be happy , to my above comment oh yeah, Kaley ( Penny ) does look way hotter on longer hair than short hair hey Lennys, when do the tapings for S9 start?
