I would not make too much out of Bernadette being frightened. Amy has made her very uncomfortable before too. For that matter Bernadette has scared a few people including Penny and the guy that interviewed her. It just seems to be part of the BBT ecosystem. Normally women don't pay attention to Raj for this long a period of time. The first Emily was it for the money. Lucy was anti social and dumped him. To me Leonard being agitated is too obvious. The scene with her brushing Penny's cheek, over a week ago, was pretty creepy too. I still Emily is still okay as long as Raj doesn't find body parts in her freezer. She needs to go IMHO  I don't think she's in any kind of really adversarial relationship with Bernadette. I think she's really in no different a spot than Amy was when Amy first started hanging around with the gang. Amy was always dissing Bernadette, even as her maid of honor ("Cute-in-the-right-light", "Not Penny-beautiful...") in relation to Penny, and Bernie and Penny were both kind of wary of Amy and didn't like her crazy behavior. They didn't dislike her personally, that much, but they just kind of tolerated her at first, because she kind of pushed herself onto them.  Emily has barely been in a handful of scenes with anyone other than Raj. In the double date with Howard and Bernie, Emily was enjoying watching Howard squirm, but it was kind of a payback moment for the Clogzilla incident. In the scene in the limo, I think she's just chiming in on the whole absurd situation. She likes some darker stuff, but I don't think that means she's a horrible person.  Also, I think that the longer she sticks around, the more the writers will end up sanding off some of those rough edges. I don't think she's a problem. In fact, if she injects a little friction, that's always good story fodder. So unless Emily starts to chase them around with a scalpel, things should be okay. When Raj brought her to see everyone, she was nice, even if she was a little cold to Penny. Remember, Amy's not adverse to breaking into the cadaver lab to play real life operation. Now she's got some one who'd go, "Cool! you got a key? I am in!" Some one who might respond to the information about the spine divot and the AA battery with an excited, "Spark it, Bitch!"  I am just saying, Emily's flaws seem freaking awesome! And she does still seem like she has a lot in common with Amy. She's not afraid to cut something, nothing is too gross to talk about at dinner and she's not adverse to starting some shit (or admiring it when it happens in front of her). Also she still went to Harvard, likes Chaucer and presumably is still hardcore into quilting.  Amy and Bernadette are nuts too, is that suddenly a bad thing? Yvette was cute and she was a latina. Double points for me. We need latin blood in tbbt, they live in a LA and no Hispanics are shown except for the cop. Sorry personal rant. Anywho.
