Apparently it was a Shamy fan who was unhappy they edited out the hug. I saw that - and Prady responded that the show is what airs on TV, not the show somebody wrote about on the internets - so I think it is safe to assume that they know about the taping reports, and haven't cared up til now, but that could change if people start bugging them to much about things that haven't aired yet. Just don't direct it at poor Bill or anyone else involved with the show, keep it in your own twitter feed..lol. At the end of the day we are big fans and emotional breakdowns on social media might happen...but we need to be mindful about what we actually send in their direction. But techniquely speaking they cut out scenes all the time, seeing they only get half an hour a week. In the dvds you get uncut scenes, you don't see when they originally aired on tv. But when in the process of cutting scenes, I am sure they are not aware of a Shippers Feelings . Apart from needing a balance between perception and reality,and being very unhealthy. It gives the show and its fans who are a bit more saavy then that a bad name. Unfortunately people are going to do what they are going to do. I did intend to take a few days away from the fandom as I am not in the right state of mind at the moment. Im not going to go into RL details as its not for the forums.. But Yesterday was a pretty upsetting day for me before this episode even aired. For me, A heavy shamy fan that gets a terrible amount of happiness from slightest thing.. The cut of that hug felt like someone dangling a carrot in front of me then taking it away at the last moment. And Yesterday I needed that moment. Im not going to sit here and make up excuses for it. We was ALL looking forward to it, And I'm sorry... But I am disappointed it was cut. And I don't think I can really be ok with it. Not at this moment in time anyway. Yes the ILY is coming. But my faith in that? 50/50. Im going to be biting my nails until it airs. Will it make the final draft?, will everything in there make it? When is it even going to air? Then something else hits me. I am letting BBT pretty much run my life. 24 hours without posting, tweeting, Whatsapping, fangirling, tumblr-ing... And I feel like I pretty much accomplished nothing today apart from practicing mathematical formulas for weight volume distributions. (Thats a bit of fun sarcasm there FYI).. Should it really be like that? A day without the fandom and I feel like a wasted day? (Ok enough of that.. to much deep RL stuff) Anyway back to the shamy.. I just spent an hour catching up in here. And while I take all your opinions and attention to detail into account (and furthermore not judging you or saying you are wrong). My opinion still stands that I'm pissed. It should have been there. They cut scenes all the time. Theirs no need to over react to something you can't change. The hug it self felt out of place considering it was predominantly a Sheldon Raj storyline. So I think they made the right decision. In 30 minutes a week they an only fit in so much, so I think a simple hug is not a priority for them, despite how others may feel. Just go with the flow, its all in good fun watching this show. We all know Shamy are end game, when it comes to all characters if they cut out a scene ah well, but in the big scheme of things if it doesent effect the shows quality, or the level of how funny the ep is I think that is more important as you were. But apparently Im not allowed to express that.. In the context of things.. They filmed something, I was excited. We had a promo photo of it, I was more excited. It was cut, I was upset about it. Like there was a scene in Supernatural where they had Castiel expressing sadness, and they cut it out, even though I felt it was integral to his character story. I feel like the hug wasn't necessary, but it is a shame it wasn't in there anyway. I don't feel sad about it, but it's okay if others do. What you feel is okay. In my opinion after watching it the Hug did not fit. Any average viewer who not on here reading spoilers or even on the internet would not have known in the first place! I think some need to calm down a bit and take a deep breath. We got the ILY coming and they would and will not cut that out because of it predominance it holds in the Sheldon storyline in that Episode and it being pretty much a whole scene unlike the Hug1. stuff get cut all the time! Even Lenny moment have been cut before! And I do not think it a reason to lash out at the producers. It was a quick hug by Amy in pretty much less then a second of a moment that was cut out.
