Bernadette seems to be spreading her bitchiness around a little more this year, so that it's affecting more just Howard.

She's shown to be successful at work, but she not knowing how she's perceived by others. That can't just be by her boss, my guess is that she's not well liked. Then she lashes out at Amy when she prevents her from making a potentially crucial career error. Female scientists do have difficulty being taken seriously, having a sexy photo spread on your list of publications might not be a smart move. Amy's motivations aren't the issue, Amy probably did her a favor.

I am sure it won't happen, but I wouldn't mind Bernadette having a career crisis and having to turn to the girls for help.

Eh, I don't mind that Bernadette has an edge to her. If she had remained nothing more than "the cute little Catholic girl with the squeaky voice," I'd have gotten bored with her. Seeing her lash out at others when she gets pissed is a little tough to watch, but we know it's never going to have any lasting damage (and it can be used to great comic effect, i.e. "The Scavenger Vortex").

I didn't really like the way she treated Amy in the last report. shes one of Amy s bestfriends and she knows how she feels regarding Sheldon and sex in general and it wasn't cool. i cant remember but did she apologize? i'll have to go back and Read it again

I think she did begin to apologize to Amy, but it all got interrupted by BBT wanting to hit on her and the girls going over to his house to rescue the boys.

I think we need to come up with a new acronym when referring to Billy Bob Thornton. I'm too used to BBT referring to the show itself; it confuses my poor widdle bwain. :)

Yes, that sub plot was kind of left in a weird place because Amy and Penny are on their way out with Dr. Larvis (I think that's how it was spelled) when Bernie comes in and starts to try to apologize. At least she makes the effort, but Amy told her there wasn't time for that right now because they had to go rescue the guys, so it was dropped there and never really resolved.

I guess we are going to be left to assume it was all sorted out off camera.  And the ultimate redemption for Amy is what occurs during the prom episode.  She doesn't need Bernadette to think she is desirable....she finally has that information from the one that counts...her man!!!

Okay, so I'm not sure if anyone has reported this yet, but there's dialogue from the prom episode that I'm not sure was in the taping report.

In the scene where Amy tells Sheldon she is going up to the roof without him, he opens to door to come stop her by telling her, "I really did think you looked pretty." She stops in her tracks. "You did?" He explains that that's why he got overwhelmed. There's a lot of pressure on him about the after-prom traditions. Amy says, "just because it's prom, doesn't mean we have to spend the night together." Sheldon asks, "but were you hoping that we would?" Amy says, "I'm always hoping." That's when she reassures him that there's no pressure on him about the night and that all she wanted was to go to prom with him. Which leads into her starting to say, "there's something else I want to tell you, and you don't have to say it back just because I said or just because it's the social convention…" That's when he says, "I love you, too."

And the others who were at the taping last night and saw the episode might be able to help me confirm this, but I believe Amy asked him if he's sure. That's when he explains the feeling that he has and he's been trying to figure out what it is, and the only other explanation seemed less likely. Which means that it must be love.

Playing catch up....

Thank you so much for this additional info Michy!!!  I love that even though there are certain social conventions everyone else does Amy's quick to reassure Sheldon there's no pressure to do or say anything.  :tender:  :give_rose:

And THANK YOU ShamyShipper and Chloe for the TR.  This is two weeks from today!!!!

LOL. He and Angelina Jolie were tatted up when they were together. Hope that helps with the mind jumps. They also carried vials of each others blood around, but those days are over....

(such a young crowd... Hehe)

Seriously vials of each other's blood, that is a little creepy. Maybe having him in the 30 October episode does qualify it as a Halloween episode.

I was actually kidding about the whole BBTs lol, though it sure is awesome to be called young in your 30s

Well, I saw Star Wars in the original cut, Ripley in Alien in the cinema and all the phones I grew up with had rotary dials. Some houses didn't have phones. Also I remember them installing the flush toilet. LOL.

But if I'm old, so is George Clooney. Hehehe.

Edit. Oh, and Hugh Grant.

So hold their pictures in your head when you think of me. That's what I tell my wife.

I'll see you Star Wars, and raise with me watching the original Twilight Zone and Star Trek, and remember  Dobie Gilis (pre Gillian's Island Bob Denver).  I also remember my alphabetic phone prefixes on the rotary phone.

Dude, you really are old...

I guess I'm a bit younger than you.  At 54, I vaguely remember original ST episodes, but the ones I seem to remember would have been from the last season--Lee Meriwether as that silent woman who keeps folding up into a line, the space hippies.

It's a little muddled for me though, because I did watch endless reruns of ST in subsequent years as I was growing up.

But we had rotary phones and even a party line for a time.  Only 3 or 4 channels on the TV, to begin with.  I also saw the original SW in the theater--I remember my friends and I questioning my friend Julia about it that summer because we'd seen the ads, but she was the only who had seen it at that point.

I remember standing in long lines for the sequels to SW and IJ.

Ah, the olden days... :p

Well I don't think it's neccessary Bernadette had to apoligize. I guess based on the same pretense, Amy would have to apologize for being jealous haha. Bernadette is a badass, I would be dissapointed if she did apologize :p.
