BespectacledBrunette
"I would die if..." What a odd idiom. http://forum.wordreference.com/showthread.php?t=2104403 I'm not commenting because it was used here but because it is used so much on this site. Does anyone know why?? I hear it all the time IRL, so that's why I use it. (For reference, I'm American, originally from NC and now in MI)
fitzsimmons
I think in this case, it was more of a "I would die of laughter" sort of situation.
Nogravitasatall
I hear it all the time IRL, so that's why I use it. (For reference, I'm American, originally from NC and now in MI) It's hyperbole, is all. Or hyperbowl. Yet everyone seems to understand that Penelope doesn't rhyme with antelope. Why is that? I wonder how Zack pronounced her name at their wedding. Looking forward to Dr Raj snr. I hope he stays long enough to meet Emily. Or is he a one-shot? Regardless, he is the first parent in a long time. It will be funny.

Sometimes I have had this uncomfortable image of people being overly emotional like at a 1963 Beatles concert.

Martin Pollard
I'm really worried about them. They haven't kissed all season... Indeed. Their lack of physical intimacy is of great concern. I may have to stop watching the show if this issue isn't addressed soon.
phantagrae
Oh, we are definitely people at a 1963 Beatles concert. My voice is still sore. Ever since the days of teenyboppers swooning over Frankie Not-so-hot-ra (as my dad always refers to him) and Elvis and those Beat Brothers, swooning over one's "Fav" is sort of derigueur for many fandoms. At least for the females... And there's nothing wrong with that. I remember squealing at my TV some time ago when David Duchovny came onto some talk show. He hadn't been on in a while and it was just exciting to see him walking in all cool like he is. Edited November 21, 2014 by phantagrae
bigbangsheldon
THURSDAY DECEMBER 11 THE BIG BANG THEORY (8:00-8:30 PM) “The Clean Room Infiltration” – Leonard and Wolowitz turn to Raj for help in dealing with a work emergency. Also, Amy throws an authentic Victorian Christmas party, and Sheldon seeks revenge on her for making him celebrate the holidays. http://www.spoilertv.com/2014/11/cbs-celebrates-holidays-with-very-merry.html Edited November 21, 2014 by bigbangsheldon

Stewie99
Which newspaper is this from, Rachel? It looks like it's an opinion column. Whose?
frankie
I for one hope it isn't true. I kind of hate "stunt casting". Just because a famous person wants to be on your show doesn't make it a good idea. I hated when Friends did it (Brad Pitt) and Will and Grace was especially guilty of it. I was worried about the Billy Bob Thornton episode, but he ended up being pretty good. I love when they have guests from their geeky pursuits playing themselves (JEJ, Wil Wheaton, LeVar Burton, etc.), but not shoehorning random famous people into a plot. rachelshamyfan
Its from "The Suns bizarre" column There was rumours in the summer that Jim was going to get Genie Bouchard on the show as well as a thanks for the Wimbledon tickets It would be funny if Rhianna appeared as herself with them all going to see her in concert

I think grew out of one of those facetious questions, you know, like Rachel mentioned with Genie Bouchard. "Would you like to be on Big Bang some day?" "Sure!" Jamie
The thing with Genie on the show wasn't a rumour, Jim actually said in an interview that he would love to get her on the show. He might have been joking but still, it came out of his mouth. This though I'd think is completely hoax. I can't picture Jim ever saying "pull off Amy-style granny chic". Sure, Rihanna might appear one the show one day. But that quote from Jim seems to be made up. Edited November 22, 2014 by Jamie
Such a Hag
Okay then. Sometimes I have had this uncomfortable image of people being overly emotional like at a 1963 Beatles concert. Me pictured below, 8/12 and 8/13. To quote my husband when I called him sobbing: "You are over excited and over tired, please go to sleep"

I doubt that the quote is genuine, but it would be really cool if Rihanna was on the show. Might make a few Rihanna fans watch TBBT, which could boost ratings and popularity. Guest
IF Rihanna comes to TBBT, then it's going to be a Raj plot
phantagrae
The last sentence about Rihanna playing a geek, etc., isn't a quote. It appears to be the opinion of the writer of the article. But the bit about "...with RiRi set to appear..." is either a total lie or a misinterpretation of Jim and Rihanna saying they'd be happy to work together again. Just because they may be open to work together again (and actors ALWAYS say that when asked if they would--it would be rude to say no) doesn't mean that there are any actual plans. cAntonio Santos
The last episode, very subpar for most of the characters, except I thought I was watching " The Sheldon Show " I thought TBBT was supposed be on. Unless the writers are pulling for Sheldon to win another Emmy.
