I'll agree that it makes no sense for nobody to know Sheldon's bday. Can you imagine, the guys have all been good friends for years and none of them ever asked? If he were being secretive about it, they would have been determined to find out. Besides, Penny and Raj took him to get a driver's permit so they would have seen it there. It's also very weird that he wouldn't tell Amy his birthday.

Maybe they'll change that part of it before the episode airs.

pretty sure Missy would have her birthday posted on Facebook too

Omg, Tomasina! For certainly! He has a twin, for crying out loud. And a mother! Do you think Mary Cooper doesn't disregard Sheldon's wishes and still send birthday cards? What about MeeMaw? I am quite sure check's for 20 dollars arrive on a yearly basis come hell or high water.

Unless this was an alternate universe episode. Which could also explain the rest of the episode up to and including the divergence in Jewish burial customs... Because the birthday crap makes this episode completely illogical.

Again, so many plots holes. But whatever.

Chalice, wait for the episode to air and judge for yourself is all I can tell you. It's not the end of the world.

Trinabeana, we were shown the episode that was filmed last time...sorry, can't think of the title. It's the one where the girls are reading Amy's fan fiction and the guys are upset over some guy trash talking their paper, who turned out to be Hawking, punking them.

Monique, not the end of the world is again not a ringing endorsement... I believe that this isn't sinking any ships. Was it funny? Funny ha ha,  Because it doesn't sound like it was. It sounds like it was uncomfortable and squirmy. It sounds unpleasant.

Your description is suffering and it's not your fault. The words you are using to describe this event were used by my dermatologist before he performed a biopsy on my hand yesterday and did a bad job on the stitches so that I bleed all over my shirt. It wasn't that bad.

You kno I had this weird dream last night... Why the heck is Leonard suddenly insecure about Penny again? What is this season three? Since s6 we've seen Penny's insecurities. Does Leonard need another your the one I'm with? Just feels like they've gone back in time and it's lonely nerd desiring hot girl who is keeping Leonard in her pocket for a rainy day lol. An Alt Universe ep would explain a lot. For the record I think if Penny did the experiment with another guy, a more normal guy say Stuart. I'll say thirs a higher probality Penny would of fallen in love. But it's Sheldon lol they know they are bro and sis. You can't fall for a robot. Other then Amy. Of course Sheldon has become more human over the years.

Rachel, the tag/bathtub scene was meant to be funny and it was :). So, pretty much, you have the audience laughing because here is Amy's fantasy actually being played out in front of their eyes. It was funny and cute.

Chalice, I'm sorry that this episode you haven't even seen is turning your world upside down. I don't know what else to tell you but going after my every word and making it my fault isn't going to help the situation.

The episode we saw taped last night is the episode we saw taped. Shenny did an experiment to see if they could fall in love by the time it was finished and they didn't fall in love. They felt closer to each other once it was done and that was it.

What I came and typed last night was my immediate reaction but I don't think any of the "contradictions" I mentioned are to be taken seriously at all. It's for laughs. Maybe not everyone thinks it's funny but it is what it is.

Lenny are in love, Shamy are in love and that's the most important thing to me.

Martin, you're smart to back the hell out of here....should have followed suit. LOL.

I wish that I was of the camp of, "ultimately they decided that they're not in love, so ultimately this is a good thing." Yeah, well, what if they decide that they need to make out just to be sure? So they make out and decide that they're not in love? What if they decide they need to sleep together to be sure? So they sleep together, but they're still not in love? Would that make it okay? Would we still be happy that ultimately they decided that they're not in love?

Look, at the end of the day, what I'm really having trouble with is that Sheldon and Penny are engaging in these "intimacy activities" in the first place. I don't care if they ultimately decided that there's no way they could ever fall in love, because I already knew that to begin with. What I'm having an issue with is everything leading up to that. I don't like the idea of Sheldon and Penny engaging in "intimacy accelerating" activities just for the sake of proving what we all already know, even if it was the writers' intention to ultimately nail that coffin shut once and for all. I don't like them having a level of intimacy with each other that they do not have with their respective partners. Do we really need more ticks in the column of "Sheldon and Penny have a special bond?"

For me, the answer is no. I am pretty well done with that.

Not much other than what I mentioned....Kunal was dancing and singing at times, which is the usual for him. He tried to get the audience pumped up at one point. The actress who plays Emily was dancing a little next to him on the zombie set.

Jim and Kaley were staring into each others eyes for that one scene and suddenly Jim starts smiling because he can't take it any more, then Kaley does because he is....but they kept filming it though, which I thought was interesting. They actually finished their lines for that take and that was that.

On another take, they both laugh and Kaley grabbed his shoulders while laughing.

I don't recall anything between Jim and Mayim (for those who want to know) or any of the other cast members at the moment. Maybe Michy noticed something I didn't?

Amen, sister!  Totally agree with this and this is why I don't find it "funny" or even "amusing".  I find it rather annoying that the writers felt there was even a need.  Why Sheldon and Penny didn't do like Amy and Leonard and after one question realize it was a fruitless effort is beyond me other than they wanted to push the envelope.  Still left room for more "experimentation" in the future in a way because it still (with the flirting, etc.) leaves Shenny fans enough hope that they will still pester Bill, etc.   I just don't think this episode fulfilled any of the purpose it meant to fulfill because anyone that had already figured out Shenny will never be a romantic couple didn't need to see this kind of story, and anyone that thinks they could be romantic will still think that.  Oh well.

I just remember Kunal singing Blurred Lines (the song that Kenny was just playing) and dancing with Laura. Max Adler was having a blast with the actors. He kept talking to Kunal between takes. At the end of the scene, Mayim went up to hug him but he misunderstood and went for a double high five, which she returned. By the time he realized she was going for a hug, she'd already turned to walk away so he was making wild hugging gestures for her to come back. It was mega cute and even more amusing because he was in his zombie makeup. [emoji38]

We really only had a good view of the escape room and cold open scenes for BTS.

I agree with this. So much. Yes to all.

I know I am biased because I cannot stand Shenny scenes anymore, but there really was no point to their entire plot. If their intentions were to put the nail in the metaphorical Shenny coffin, they did a really shitty job IMO.

I get that a lot of the things said and done were for comedic purposes, but it all seems so unnecessary and just odd.

But they didn't need to make out or have sex just to be sure.  I think the point was that their answers to the questions and even "gazing" into each other's eyes didn't do anything for either of them.

And so what if they have a special bond.  It doesn't take anything away from their relationships with their SOs, does it?  I mean, no one was doubting their relationships, were they?  They revealed a little of themselves or their thoughts or feelings to each other, but so what?  Again, does that in any way negate their romantic relationships?

What does it hurt?  How could it possibly hurt anything?

And if they'd answered one question and called it quits, well, that would have made for a pretty short episode.

I don't think it was about "SHeldon and Penny have a special bond", but even if it was, again, it doesn't change or hurt anything.

Michy, Monique et al, thank you so much. This sounds like it will play fine.

I love the 4 minute stare. Imagine what that cost the network to purchase. 4 minutes of two people staring at each other with nothing happening. Brilliant satire? I like to hope so. Also that Leonard can always bring a book is right. Penny can do anything she wants and as long as he he is there and has a book he is happy. Almost like my last holiday. In fact he would have an e-reader on his phone, as would Sheldon, so the shopping scene we recently had was sort of unreal.

The Shenny thing is a furphy. Embrace the madness, it is meant to be funny. I'm not worried, Amy is not worried and Leonard is not worried. Its a joke. No one is going off with anyone else. But they can mess with the idea. Nothing is sacrosanct in comedy. Je suis...

And they have to make this thing go another 50+ episode (Tensor can do the math). Of course they are going to wander all over the landscape. Its a small canvas and they have to use all of it.

... And pretty much all Lio said (she is smart). Also there is no conceivable reason why L/P can't have the odd smooch. That's the most senseless thing - dummer than any S/P confabulation.

I will look forward to my sensation of amused discomfort when this airs.

Apparently there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth...

You're misunderstanding me. My point is that in the same way that I wouldn't have wanted to see kissing or worse to prove the point, so did I not want to see them do this to prove it either. Kissing, sex, or just sharing personal things with each other they don't share with their fiances and girlfriends, it's all gross to me. An I don't think it was necessary or fun.

Yeah, I edited that. I don't wish anyone ill, but sometimes the funniest things are uncomfortable. As an example try to catch the Australian film "The Little Death". Extremely funny and so challenging. Hopefully its on US itunes too.

Edit: Don't download it. That filmmaker needs the money. Hehe.

Even so, it was just talk--and talk that revealed, again, how different they are, and yet why they're friends.  I don't know what's so gross about that.

Michy, for once and for all... was the scene funny or just squirmy? Was it funny at first and then it turn squirmy? I am looking for something redemptive here and it's not going to kill me, isn't really enough reason to watch.

It is meant to come across as both funny and sweet (a lot of "aww" moments and a lot of laughs). For me, I didn't find it much of either, but that's solely my opinion. Many, I'm sure, including Lenny and Shamy fans, will find some of the moments touching and many of the jokes funny. As for me, as I said before, I would have preferred to watch Raj make out with his dog for four hours. But that could just be me.

I instead say thank you to those who provide this information to us rather than pass judgements on it....
