tmp
I think Shenny have always been hilarious in scenes together and Shenny is often funnier than Lenny. I got no problem with increased Shenny in season 8 because I find it funny. None of it diminishes or threatens my strong personal connection with the Lenny pairing or my purely platonic enjoyment of the Shamy. Closing in on my one year anniversary of being on this forum, it still amazes me how emotional people get when a ship they don't like gets brought up. This thread can be dead quiet for a couple of day then explode into 5 pages of over the top angst and "you made me feel bad" hysteria at the mere mention of Shenny. Maybe it's because I don't like popcorn and there are no boysenberry Choctop icecream GIFs out on the interwebs that I generally stay away from these tiresome debates. But most of all, I think it's time for all of us to start visualizing a pen, not a favourite pen with your initials on it, but just a regular pen, hold it up in the air and............. LET IT GO!!!! Speaking of letting it go, was I the only one expecting a "Frozen" reference?

Itwasdestined
Speaking of letting it go, was I the only one expecting a "Frozen" reference? Nah me too... Was hoping for Sheldon to complain about something in it like his Lego movie complaint.

Kasey
Maybe if we combined the popcorn gif with Elsa singing Let It Go..that might work...
Itwasdestined
Elsa showering the world with popcorn instead of snowflakes and ice.....and if we spend 5 pages discussing the creation of this magical GIF we might kill of the other conversation! CaffeineBuzz
Elsa showering the world with popcorn instead of snowflakes and ice.....and if we spend 5 pages discussing the creation of this magical GIF we might kill of the other conversation! I support this motion. It will be the new gif to end all gifs. The gif with the power to destroy the cycle of endless ship bashing and passive aggressive bitching and or taunting. BRING IT ON!! Nogravitasatall
Does anyone else think that Sheldon's lines are being delivered at a slower pace, different cadence and with more of a sense of wide-eyed innocence than was once the norm. He speaks so differently now to what at I recall from earlier days. I remember the rapid-fire monologues like the rock-paper-scissors-lizard-Spock speech to Kripke. But in opening scenes of "Comic Book" he drawls and delivers his lines so slowly. He did this in "The friendship contraction", from the line "I don't know, but whoever that mystery man was..." , where he was demonstrating a child-like feigned ignorance of his responsibility for the lights going out. That tone and cadence happened here too. My reaction to the scene with Amy and Kripke was affected because I was so distracted by the way his lines were delivered. Maybe they had to go that way because of the oral sex joke, so he had to sound all unknowing. In "Troll..." he was able to converse with Leonard about the paper in a way that was as witty and pithy as ever. Is this a real thing or am I am imagining it. And if it's real I might start to assume that whenever he has to start to talk about sex all the blood rushes from his brain. I wondering at how this change has come about. Did the writers suggest a delivery change? Did Jim just start doing it? Did Mark (the director) change it up? But overall, I'm noticing everyone kind of changing up their delivery as a whole.

I will go home soon and watch it again--purely for research purposes, of course, not just to listen to Jim Parsons' voice again and again...
