Most of me is not excited, mostly bc of the shenny shippers who will gif the crap out of it and they will run with any crumb they get. Anywho.

I am more interested in the Bernadette/howie part

Yeah, I think that is most of my issue as well. I will need to stay off of Twitter and Tumblr for the night :p But, I don't think the episode itself is going to bother me.

The sneak peeks look good and I think one can tell the tenor of the experiment, that it's pretty much just kind of joking conversation.  And even if they end up talking about "deeper" things, the outcome is still what it is--they're like siblings--so there's nothing at all for anyone to worry about.

I guess TPTB value ALL their audience, and this fascination is a real thing and it is happening in a liberal democracy where the creatives have free rein to do as they wish. So that is good. And it will bring some people some joy. I hope they give us a good impression of four minutes actually elapsing. Real time is probably too much to hope for.

Edit. Unless this is foreshadowing, and at the end of season 16 Penny stops Sheldon from getting on the plane to Geneva, because she can't live without him... What are the chances?

Singing 'Stop! In the name of love'?

And then Sheldon turns around and sings 'I can't fight this feeling anymore'.

(So THAT'S what the musical episode of TBBT will be...)

And then- oo,oo!- Leonard and Amy get together! Pair the spares, and all that. And someone already came up with the perfect portmanteau name. Lamy, I believe?

If they get to season 16  I'd be ready for this. LOL

Oh, by Season 16 Howard and Raj would have run off together (with occasional visits from Stuart), and Bernie and Emily would be shacking up. A pansexual free-for-all.

Edit: and somewhere in between Amy and Penny would have 'reconnected', if you know what I mean.

And that is exactly how Robert A. Heinlein would have wanted it. heheh.

And why is this topic not moved to the shipping lane. Lol I am kidding.

I guess I hope this is more about the direction of the show that the ships. If they are going to go longer than 10 seasons how will they maintain interest in the transition of the characters?. Seinfeld had no character development - it wa a perpetual groundhog day for the characters there. This show is locked into a chronological flow. They are fighting time and pulling* on the brakes to make sure they dont reach a climax before they finish, but it is very noticeable, particularly for the L/P fanciers.

More like buying time. But if the show goes to 12 season I hope at some point they go back to their roots.

The discussion-that went crazy on internet and even at the office today-about "what color is that dress" reminded me here very very much :D

I'm blissfully ignorant of whatever you are talking about.

Just depends on what sites on frequents I guess. I was noticing an unusual number of stories about supper massive black holes.
