i think it will be brought up in passing--- briefly referred to. If E & P are to be friends or are to be aquatinted through their SO's it will need to be put behind them.

I so love the idea of the ice being thawed through "...Monkey See, Monkey Kill" (also love that subtitle!). Emily seeing it with another friend. "Hey, I know that killer gorilla!"

But they already talked it out in that previous episode.  That they didn't automatically bond like sisters is realistic, I think.  I think they just need time and proximity, like Penny/Bernie did with Amy, to get to know more about each other.

Penny and Bernie thought Amy was weird and off-putting when she first started hanging around with Sheldon and it was only as Amy kind of forced herself into the girls night stuff (and Penny and Bernie had compassion for her) that they all became friends.

I think that Penny and Emily have already kind of cleared the air over the one-night stand thing.  It's just that that conversation didn't automatically make them best friends, just like Penny going on that first date with Sheldon and Amy didn't turn Penny and Amy into best friends.

I just think that they could have some kind of interaction that has nothing to do with the R/P sleepover and then begin to find they have more in common.  The writers haven't put them together in any real way since that one episode.

. No. IMO the mutual "I hate her" so has to do with "the event". Penny & Amy did not get off on an adversarial footing when they first met. Each thought the other odd and different. There is a little bit of work to be done by Emily & Penny (and perhaps Raj & Leonard).

I wonder if anyone knows anyone on tumblr or wherever.  I know some folks used to go digging for tidbits out there, so we might be able to get something, maybe the title at least.

You know, Prady's been slacking off on the script covers... :p

But Penny didn't really like Amy when they first met.  Though the date was amicable enough with Amy, Penny didn't invite her to the girls night and only agreed for her to come when Amy very obviously invited herself.

And after that, while there wasn't any direct animosity, Penny and Bernie didn't exactly warm to her right away.  And in a recent episode Penny even said that she didn't used to like Amy and now they're friends.

I know that the mutual "I hate her" has to do with the event, but that doesn't mean that they're going to have to talk about it AGAIN in order to get past it.  They already talked about it and Penny and Raj explained the situation, so that part of it is already resolved.

Though they didn't get past the animosity after that conversation, that doesn't mean that they're going to talk about it again in order to get past it.  That would be too redundant, IMO, and something the writers are not likely to go over again.  I think that the various mentions of it that have happened have been between different combinations of people each time, but since Penny and Emily already sat down to talk it through, there wouldn't be any point in talking it through again.

I don't think it's anything to do with Penny's acting, I reckon she is an old friend of Penny's stopping by in town. Her and Penny have a good chat and reminisce about times gone by, and this leaves Bernadette and Amy feeling very left out and creates friction in the group, which could make for a very funny argument and if the men get involved, some interesting and awkward confrontations.

I thought that too think it's not penny's sister. Too obvious.

Or maybe another new neighbor who will have a crush on Leonard to make Penny jealous

Possibly, but he'd be a jerk to have his head turned.

I like the idea of her being from Penny's home town or past and being boggled/concerned/jealous about how far Penny has moved on from her roots. It a nice way of unsettling Penny and making her reflect on her choices. She can wonder a bit about having picked Leonard too. Nothing like kicking off pre-wedding jitters with a trip down memory lane.

Still think it's to do with the audition. Don't think the writers need to go there since they are engaged.

My thinking is also that it will be somehow tied to the audition.  I don't think that plot is over yet.  I still think Penny will be offered the part no matter how badly she thinks she did on it.

Ooh I see.. https://twitter.com/katievontill/status/582656047745142784

She could be anything though, like waitress, doctor just some side role. Doesn't really hint anything.

She could be anything. Even herself as the voice of Snow White.  http://www.katherinevontill.com/news

If she is going to be Penny's sister that could really shake things up.
