Taping Report    “The Prom Equivalency”   Hi!!   This is my first taping report EVER so please be considerate and I will try my best. This was also my first taping, now that I live in LA, I was

I want you guys to know how hard these ladies are working on this report! "All right, who's got scene 13?" "Oh, that's me!"

Okay, so I'm not sure if anyone has reported this yet, but there's dialogue from the prom episode that I'm not sure was in the taping report. In the scene where Amy tells Sheldon she is going up to

Yes, I would love to see this forum only available to registered users. Would prevent it from being visible in a search or by passing by.

I don't know how this forum software works, so I don't know if Tripper can make an individual thread "members only." But, if it's anything like other forum software, it should allow the creation of "members only" subforums, where taping report threads can be stored.

I love the taping reports and don't want to lose it d/t a few dumb idiots.  Maybe we can limit it to members only?  We need to sick Amy's monkey on the idiots who spoil it for us if we ever find out who it is.

While I agree something needs to be done, the problem with that, imo, is that people could still join the boards, see the TR, and tweet about it. If a certain number of posts must be obtained before access is granted, it unfairly punishes those of us who are infrequent posters or new to the site.

As it stands right now, we are unfairly putting targets on the backs of anybody who attends the live taping. That has to change but it shouldn't be by punishing the many for the actions of the few.

In other words, you can't fix stupid.

It would at least prevent TPTB or AU from coming on here and seeing who the perpetrators are. You can't stop the idiots from being idiots, but you can at least protect the people who are sticking their necks out to provide taping information.

Yes, this forum software definitely does allow for the creation of members only subforums. I know this because the 'The Site' subforum is not visible when I am logged off, so it is definitely possible to make certain subforums invisible to non-members.

Perhaps a 'spoilers' sub forum could be added for any information which only members are allowed to see. Alternatively, taping reports could just be posted in a thread in the 'The Site' subforum, thus making them invisible.

I don't remember being asked to agree to non-disclosure provisions when I went. That would be the next (and cheap) level of escalation - if the producers really care. But at the moment I doubt, unlike the producers of The Dallas Buyers Club, that the production company and network have a financial incentive to plug leaks. Now they have a free social media story to generate buzz. And they have 24 shows a year and nary a problem.

On a personal level, its dumb and rude. So dumb, so rude.

I don't think there's any real risk to the individuals who provide the reports as there is no effort made to prevent any attendees from telling everything to everyone they meet.

On the blog for The Big Bang Buzz, they used to post taping reports right there on the blog for anyone who wanted to look.  The only reason they don't anymore is that what's-her-name has gone mostly spoiler free and only goes to the occasional taping now (I believe.)

I think the only issue is one that no one can really control.  If the information from the taping report is referred to in tweets or on tumblr or wherever by idiots who have no sense of propriety or decorum, it's going to happen one way or another.  If people have to be members, then they'll end up signing up so they can see the info.

Sending the reports via email or private message could become burdensome and then you'd just have an escalating number of people asking to be added to the list.

I think it's just one of those things that goes with the territory.  Some people will do stupid things like pestering Prady about stuff, just like they try to do casting petitions and all that.

And who's to say that a person who goes to the taping themselves won't do that sort of thing?

I think we just have to be strong and soldier on and let the idiots know when they're being stupid, if we have to.

Anyway, just know that we are all grateful for the reporting and for how you all try to help us with context and description that puts things in perspective.

Thanks again for all the detail!! :)

I'm usually only a lurker, but I just have to say thanks, Michy, for all you've shared with everyone. It is greatly appreciated! I just wish I'd had the courage to come out of hiding and thank you sooner, rather than waiting until it came to this unfortunate situation.

I will definitely miss your reports - and not just because of the spoilers themselves but also because I love your witty way of wording things. But your decision is completely understandable, of couse. I hope you continue to have fun at the tapings. Maybe you'll be able to enjoy them even more now that you don't have to worry about taking notes.

And while I'm here, also a big thank you to everyone else who has written up taping reports. You're all amazing!

This girl (on twitter) sounds like a real piece of work.

Perhaps in future anyone who wants to write a taping report, but doesn't want it attributed to their name for privacy reasons could PM it to a mod for posting?

I don't know that that would keep a person such as this from pestering Bill Prady about whatever it is they don't like about it.  When she was writing to Bill to complain I don't think she mentioned any names or even that she'd read a taping report.

People like her just feel entitled to get all up in Bill's face over information that isn't exactly a secret but isn't exactly public information.

If she'd been complaining about the events of an episode that had just aired it would still be rude to talk to Bill that way, but the fact that she's talking to him that way about a taping report is even more rude.  She's basically using "insider information", if you will, to complain to him about something that, as far as everyone else is concerned, hasn't even happened yet.

I don't know if she just wants to come across as having access to "secret" spoiler information or what, but she's just rude and obnoxious on many levels.

IMO, she isn't worth the energy it takes to think about her.  She's just a dope.

Following the discussion currently taking place on Twitter... Maya Angelou said it best, ''...there is a difference between being convinced and being stubborn. I'm not certain what the difference is, but I do know that if you butt your head against a stone wall long enough, at some point you realize the wall is stone and that your head is flesh and blood.''

This f**ktard just doesn't get that what they did by tagging Bill puts tptb on high alert to shut down the spoiler leaks. Thanks to everyone that provided information and reports this season and safe travels home if you were at the taping last night.

I think Leonard said it best "If they didn't want to be yelled at by crazy nerds, they shouldn't have started a sci-fi channel." In this case a tv show. I think Bill and other producers can handle the crazy fans and generally don't take it personally. There are some evil people out there.

That said, as always Michy, Kaz, Maria, Maddie and everyone who provided the report and insights thank you! I am so sad I missed this taping.

I'm always grateful for the information and taping reports provided here. I do not understand any individuals harassing anyone connected with the show. I would think we are here because we love the stories they tell. For anyone to harass or insult them is beyond awful!

I am so sorry this has happened but know that everyone who doesn't tweet to the producers appreciate all you do for us.

It's people like that that ruin it for the rest of us.

Thank you to all who contributed to last nights report.

I'm sorry, but can someone clarify what exactly happened?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

From what I saw on Twitter, a person going by the name light to my dark tweeted Bill Prady several times about her reaction to the taping last night, basically upset with the story line. Bill responded something to the point of "I don't know what you were watching last night because bbt wasn't on."
