Yeah, dana, you will have been spoiler free, buy you know the spoilers for others.  :p

I am slightly confused by the comment. Are you simply admiring the fact that I get to enjoy the best of both worlds by being spoiler free only until I attend a taping where I can spill the spoilers for others? :p

No but really though, the comment did confuse me. :dontknow:

Technically, you are seeing the show spoiler free, because the first time you see it will be at the taping and you will not have read a taping report before  xD

You could also not read the taping report for 8.01 because you will see it at the taping before 8.02 ;) and then you would have watched the first two spoiler free

LMAO

I like the way you think! I am still unspoiled. :)

Hi Everyone...I just came across this site after scouring the internet looking for opportunities to get Big Bang Theory tickets...it's very refreshing to see so many people just like me! :)

I'm going to be in the LA area in late October...does anyone know if a taping is planned for October 28?

Yesterday I went to the TV Tickets site to try to go through the motions of getting a ticket, just to see how fast they sell out....lo and behold the site crashed on me as soon as they were available.  I saw the tickets available on the main page and just tried to click to the application page just to see it in the dropdown and it kept giving me a "page not found" error.  When I was finally able to get in, it was already gone and said sold out on the main page.  Does this typically happen with anyone else?  I'm not sure if this is because of my internet provider, or if in fact the site tends to crash when tickets are available?

Does anyone have a typical ballpark figure of how long it takes guaranteed tickets to sell out?  Is it less than 1-2 minutes or closer to 5 minutes?  I only ask because as long as the site doesn't crash I could probably get tickets for me and my wife for that October taping, but I'm just concerned about this happening again.

Thanks!

That's great to hear!  I'm so excited that there's a taping while I'm in LA!  Does anyone have any insight or tips about the overall ticket booking experience?  Do you find that the site crashes when the tickets go up?

Thanks!

That basically happens every single time BBT tickets go up. I haven't been doing this very long, but in my experience, I would say guaranteed tickets tend to go in the first 1-2 minutes or so, and then another minute or two for standby and then it's all gone. Overall everything seems to go within five minutes, but it is hard to tell because the site crashes so much that it's hard to know exactly when they go up because you might not get the page to load right away.

The best thing I can suggest is this: Bookmark the ticket ordering page. Don't go to the schedule page or even the BBT page. That's just one more page you have to pray will load for you. Just bookmark the form, have something like Google Chrome that can auto-fill form the areas for you, and refresh that page until you see BBT in the drop down. When you do, fill it out and hit submit. If the page crashes, all you have to do is hit the back button and submit again until it goes through. That's worked for me pretty well.

Also sorry for the double post, but I've added a ton of info to the first post including airport and hotel information. I've also added some users who have offered to answer any questions people might have, but please let me know if you'd like to be taken off the list (or added!). :D We have people on there who are LA local, who travel often from within the US, and who travel from outside the US, so that should cover any questions people might have about their similar travel as well.

If anyone's got anything else to add, let me know here or PM me! (When the site is working again, haha.)

Who was it that agreed to spill the news about episode 2????

Well I got some help with my group's tickets (Thanks Chloe :):giveheart: ) with the agreement that I/we provide a taping report. :)

So it would appear that would be me and a couple of my ladies to help with chat afterwards! Everyone else please feel free to just enjoy and not have to try and remember everything!! haha.

Also a couple other tips: the ticket ordering form doesn't require that you fill out all the fields. The only three that you actually need are the first and last name and number of tickets you want, and then you can enter in a "0" for the remaining fields. I did a bunch of practice runs before 8am PDT refreshing the page and filling out the form. If you have a PC, you can hit F5 to refresh the page quickly (for a Mac, hit command + R).

Between the refresh button and filling out only the necessary fields on the form, it took me a matter of 5 seconds to submit it. :)

Good thinking! You can also just, if you have Chrome or an auto-fill, go through the entire form without filling in a show, and it'll save all the info for you, so all you have to do is pick Big Bang Theory and 1 ticket, and all the fields will auto-populate. :D Whatever works for you!
