I was told today that my Christmas present is to be allowed to come to a taping. My kids and wife will be chipping in to help defray the cost. I still have to come up with the rest, so it may not be

Outside the studio!

Just crawling out of hiding to let y'all know that I have secured tickets to the 8.01 taping. Anyone else going? Here are some helpful tips and information for getting tickets: Where to get ticket

Tickets are "by 8:30am" Pacific time (could be earlier, sometimes slightly later, it's just a ballpark). There is a link in the first post if you need to figure out what time it is in your time zone compared to Pacific, here, so you can plan accordingly.

I will be in the chat on the 15th (a week from this upcoming Monday), and I am happy to help anyone who is looking to get tickets as well. Is anyone trying to go for the 10/14 taping?

There's a running list on the first page.

As there was last year, there's also a running list in the Taping and Broadcast Schedule thread. Reachable by clicking the link in my signature.

I was wondering why is the taping a Half Hour Earlier Tomorrow?

It could be for a number of reasons.. They feel they possibly need more time, They might want to try finishing up a bit earlier.. Who knows.

Not to mention you have to scarf it down like you work in a busy restaurant and it's your only chance at food your whole shift. Been there, done that :-)!

Why, do they take it away from you or something? :p

Not exactly, but they're kind of pushy. "Encouraging" you finish up quickly so there's no paper rattling when they move on to filming the next scene. I'm not complaining, since it IS complimentary, but "fine dining" it ain't :-)!

That's what I thought--they don't want any extraneous noise once the filming starts again. :)
