I was told today that my Christmas present is to be allowed to come to a taping. My kids and wife will be chipping in to help defray the cost. I still have to come up with the rest, so it may not be

Outside the studio!

Just crawling out of hiding to let y'all know that I have secured tickets to the 8.01 taping. Anyone else going? Here are some helpful tips and information for getting tickets: Where to get ticket

I will be on a conference during the day of the taping and can get to the studio at 2pm the earliest. Any problem with that with a STANDBY ticket????

That's really late for Standby. It's not impossible, but I wouldn't have high hopes for getting in at that point. I wouldn't hazard any later than 12:30 or one if possible.

Ugh! I'll try my best to get there as early as I can, maybe 1:30pm. I'm going to try anyways. Is there any place close to get food really quick? (Aside from vending machines)

Anyway you could pack something and bring it with you?

December dates now added..

December 9th

December 16th

For me.. Im a 100% ok for the November 18th taping (along with other users here). I am working on going on the 11th November as well. I just need to get a few extra days off work which is more tricky now I have run out of holidays to use. My boss is going to try and re-organise my shifts for me if I can't get swaps. If that goes to plan, Then I just have to hope the flights I'm looking at don't fill up as I am flying on staff standby.

Right now they are empty.. And being out of season it shouldn't be to hard to get a seat.

I have a standby ticket for 10/14 :)

This is going to be my first try as I'm living now in LA. Really hoping I can get in that day :) Wish me luck :)

You will.  Just plan to be there before 11.  I have flown across the country on standby and made it in

Just crawling out of hiding to let y'all know that I have secured tickets to the 8.01 taping. :) Anyone else going?

Here are some helpful tips and information for getting tickets:

Where to get tickets:

Audiences Unlimited

When to get tickets:

Tickets are available thirty days before the taping at approximately 8:30 am PST, but they can go up as early as 8am. It does vary. Click here to see what time it is in Los Angeles right now so you know how that compares to your time zone. These are the dates that tickets will be available and for which shows:

July 7 → 8/5/14 (CANCELED)

July 14 → 8/12/14 (sold out)

July 21 → 8/19/14 (sold out)

August 4 → 9/3/14 (sold out)

August 11 → 9/9/14 (sold out)

August 25 → 9/23/14 (sold out)

September 2 → 9/30/14 (sold out)

September 15 → 10/14/14 (sold out)

September 22 → 10/21/14

September 29 → 10/28/14

October 13 → 11/11/14

October 20 → 11/18/14

November 10 → 12/9/14

November 17 → 12/16/14

Where to fly into:

Use the Matrix website to search flights out of and into multiple airports (if you have several options) as well as multiple travel dates to find the cheapest and best option for your travel.

  • Bob Hope Airport (BUR) is located at 2627 N Hollywood Way Burbank, CA 91505, and is 4.2 miles away from the Warner Brother studios, but flights to this airport may be more expensive, less frequent, or unavailable. But it is an option to consider.
  • Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is located at 1 World Way, Los Angeles, CA 90045, and is approximately 25.8 miles away from the Warner Brothers studios, but it is more likely to have better flight options, possibly better prices, and certainly more options for international travelers. Downside is its distance from Warner Brothers and travel to and from LAX can be brutal on weekday rush hour times, so be sure to allow a lot of time for travel.
  • **Southwest Airlines allow you to change your flight dates with no penalty, so if you are concerned about booking flights in case your taping is rescheduled or canceled, this is a good way to go! (thanks delsino for this information) Read their refund policy here and their no change fees policy here.

Where to stay (and who recommends it, if any):

  • Tangerine Hotel (3901 W Riverside Dr Burbank, CA 91505)
    • 0.4 miles north of Warner Brothers
    • 30.3 miles northeast of LAX Airport
    • 3.5 miles south of Bob Hope Airport (Burbank)

  • Best Western (3910 W Riverside Dr Burbank, CA 91505)
    • 0.4 miles north of Warner Brothers
    • 24.9 miles northeast of LAX Airport
    • 3.5 miles south of Bob Hope Airport (Burbank)

    • (818) 842-1900
  • USA Hostels Hollywood (1624 Schrader Boulevard Hollywood, CA 90028) ★ notchinc
    • 3.8 miles south of Warner Brothers
    • 13.6 miles northeast of LAX Airport
    • 7.6 miles south of Bob Hope Airport (Burbank)
    • 0.4 miles east of Hollywood/Highland Metro Station, 0.4 miles west of Hollywood/Vine Metro Station

  • Hilton Los Angeles North/Glendale (100 West Glenoaks Blvd, Glendale, CA, 91202) ★ delsino
  • Hampton Inn Los Angeles Int'l Airport/Hawthorne (11430 South Acacia Ave, Hawthorne, CA, 90250) ★ delsino

How to travel:

  • SuperShuttle: Service to and from LAX and BUR. Cheaper than a taxi. You can arrange for it to pick you up anywhere and take you to the airport for when you need to arrive for your flight. You can also arrange for the shuttle to pick you up for free from North Hollywood Station if traveling to Bob Hope Airport in Burbank.
  • Primetime Shuttle: Service to and from LAX and BUR. Similar to the SuperShuttle, prices may vary between services, so check them both and see what's best for you.
  • Rent a car: Both LAX and BUR have car rental services at the terminal.
  • Uber/Lyft: These are apps you can download on your mobile phone. They are cheaper than taxis as they use local drivers (vetted by the companies) to pick you up and drive you to your destination for a price lower than cab fare. You can use this for local transportation between destinations or even to the airport if necessary.
  • Public Transportation: The 222 Metro busline between Sunland and Hollywood/Highland station stops right outside of Gate 3. Other buses within walking distance are nearby as well, depending on your point of origin.

Where things are located:

  • Line up for Big Bang Theory Taping: Gate 3, Warner Brothers Studios, Burbank, CA (approx. 4300 W. Olive Ave, Burbank, CA 91505)
  • Warner Brothers VIP Tours (approx. 3400 Riverside Dr Burbank, CA 91505)

Who to ask for help, or if you have questions regarding travel/stay:

Just wanted to quote the opening post to thank Michy for the updating the information! very helpful for newbies! Thanks BETCH. x

I am going to a taping monday and this will be my first time... i will need my cellphone to call a cab there and back to hotel.... is there anyway i can bring it and just let a secuirty guard hold it or something?

You can find answers to most taping attendance questions in the thread "Information for Attending a Taping".  It has its own thread and there's all kinds of info there.

But briefly, they have a place where you can secure your cell phone while in the taping.  They usually tell people to leave them in their cars or whatever, but there's some lockers or something where people can leave stuff that they can't take into the studio.
