Information For Attending A Taping

Rick, you have no idea how much I want to take you up on this. I'm in the UK too, so getting it in time wouldn't be a problem. Don't think my husband would fancy missing out though - and staying home with the baby!

why not bring the whole family later on? You can disguise the baby as a handbag, or if it won't stop squirming, get a sitter for the night.

Happy Kitty is going to the taping tomorrow and has just asked in the duscussion thread for tips on how to remember what happens for the report :)

Notepad and pen. The easiest thing is just keep a list of the scenes as you go. If you remember what scenes go where, you will have an easier time with dialogue. If you can jot down dialogue, that's great too. But obviously no pressure.

Just attended my first taping ever and had a blast! I tried jotting down a few notes, but I don't have a computer with me to even attempt typing a taping report. It'll take forever with two thumbs and my iPhone. Assuming no one else is going to do it, I can attempt to type something up tomorrow after I get back to my home town.

IMPORTANT PACKING UPDATE: All acceptable items of clothing have now been ironed (including the loudest, most lurid Hawaiian shirt I almost forgot I had), my dad has lent me his DVT socks (can't be too careful), insurance policy taken out, e-tickets printed, necessary items procured, prescription of Omeprazole collected (I've seen Man vs Food - American portions are going to play havoc with my acid reflux), swimming shorts fit check carried out successfully.

Just to keep you updated, y'know.  :icon_razz:

Just realized we have this Tuesday off for veteran's day, and husband out of the blue decides maybe going to a taping sounds like it might be fun after all, but even with a change of heart I know he can't handle hours in a standby line, so we're just going to go to the studio tour together that day and I'm still going alone standby on the 18th.

Los Angeles, I am in you, as they say. Blimey. Well, yes. My body clock is all over the place - my brain says it's 15:57pm although it's now 7:57am, I had a terrible night's sleep despite being knackered after being up for nearly 24 hours straight, but it's great to be here. Had a wander down Hollywood Boulevard last night and encountered all manner of strangeness, ate lots of fried chicken, bought a Twinkie (when I was a kid, every American comic book I ever had carried ads for Twinkies and Sea Monkeys, and in my head they formed part of the mythos of America. I'm not planning on buying some Sea Monkeys though) and it was vile. Utterly vile!

Off to the Warner Bros VIP tour at 12:30 today. I like it here.  :icon_razz:
