Kazzie, who are you flying with? Just wondering if there are any airlines that will allow cancellations if we can't get tickets?

They do, but depending on the type of ticket you buy.. The lower prices ones tend to be non-refundable

Yes, my wife and I have standby tickets for Dec 9th.  Flying down from Spokane on Monday and heading to the "line-up" first thing Tuesday morning.  Our first time to a taping!!

Good luck!  Hope you have a good time--I'm dying to know what this ep will be about, since it won't air until JANUARY!!!  Good thing I'm going to be busy almost every night after the 11th.  I'm going to be going through Big Bang withdrawal!

Are you busy due to holiday concerts/performances? Does that elate or deflate you? Just being curious.

I'm very busy with holiday concerts--every weekend this month and several days leading up to the weekends in some cases.

I like it because I love to play--AND I love to get paid for it!  Big December paychecks are always fun!

I have a minor dislike because it makes it hard to find time to shop or energy to decorate, and my schedule gets very hectic, especially since I work during the day, too.  I also have private students that I teach on Monday nights and Saturday mornings.

I had rehearsal last night (Messiah) and I perform it tonight here in town and tomorrow night in another town about 2 hours away.

And today during the lunch hour, I played with my church handbell choir at our children's hospital.

I have some free evenings next week because I don't play in the Nutcracker orchestra.  We use a reduced orchestra version that uses only one bassoon, and the principal player does that gig.  But that's good for me because it frees me to 1) stay home and watch TBBT on the 11th! and 2) participate in my church choir Christmas program on the 14th.

I also have my Monday days free because that's the day I teach my university students, but I'm done with that for the semester.

My December calendar is a MESS to look at, chock full of rehearsals and performances.  And of course, I'm planning to be home for BB on the 11th and Jim's performance as Buddy the Elf on the 16th!  Those are written in my calendar just like a performance!

That would be awesome.  I installed Grub Hub on my iphone in anticipation of an "in line - on line" order.  I seem to recall a previous post that made mention of a Thai/Chinese restaurant but failed to commit it to memory.  Having my recollection refreshed would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you for your assistance.  We are keeping our fingers crossed for good weather.  We have been in the teens here most of the week, shoveled snow this morning!

Thanks for sharing that phanta. A musician's life is fascinating to me. It sounds like you fully embrace that double-edged sword of being busy and having a hectic time with your love of what you do!

Sending positive thoughts for you this season and thanks again for the peek into musician's holiday schedule!

Yes, we used GrubHub as well! We tend to order from Soo Raa Thai-American Chic in Burbank, and use GrubHub to do so, but there are a ton of varied places nearby for all kinds of cuisine. Just use the 4301 W. Olive Ave address and they'll come to the bus stop right outside the line. :)

Good luck on the weather! It's been terribly rainy here in Los Angeles for the last few days, but I've never seen it go more than four so hopefully you should be good by Tuesday. :) Looks like it'll be about 74-degrees F and sunny by Tuesday.
