Phanta, I'm pretty sure I've heard they will take your phone, camera etc, and give it back at the end if you don't have a car to put it in.

Oh man, I'm so nervous something will go wrong with the site and it will be down again or something and I can't try for finale tickets.

Try not to stress about it. I know that can be hard to hear but the truth is the chances are very very very small that you won't at least get a stand by ticket. I used to stress about getting tickets all the time, and I've always been able to get at least a stand by ticket for every show I have attempted for.

Unfortunately I can't help with trying to get tickets, but I am sure others on here will help you out. If the website is down on the day the tickets go up, then just keep refreshing the page until the tickets come up. I think Monday's tickets didn't go up until like 10:45am pacific time, but as far as I know that is really rare. So I am sure the tickets will go up during the regular 8:30am pacific time.

Good luck! :)

Hi there,

My husband and I, and possibly a few friends, are trying to attend the 4/14 taping.  We've practiced with the tickets a few times, and I got to the page with one guarunteed ticket a few weeks ago (though I didn't complete the transaction).  I was playing around this past Monday when the site was frozen.  I'm not sure if guarunteed tickets ever went up. My husband and I both got to the page where they were offering standby tickets and they were up for a good 15 minutes, so hopefully we'll be able to get our hands on some of those.

Most of what I read is from a few years ago, so I'm sure it's more crowded now.  What time to people show up for standby?  I was thinking around 10 am if we get lucky.

Also, how strict are they with the names of the people with tickets?  I know they check ID at the door, and my brother will be 18 by then, but what if two tickets are under my name?  Will I be able to transfer them?  This is by some lucky chance two of us trying see the guarunteed tickets and put the same name down.

Any additional advice would be helpful.  We'll be in California for almost 2 weeks, but just the one Tuesday.

Thanks!

Due to the high demand of BBT tickets, their system is set up so that any duplicate tickets get reduced to a single name on their list, so if you both enter the same name, there will only be one ticket under that name. You should communicate with each other as to who is getting which tickets. The best thing to do is each try for your own name. Only when you get yours, try for the other. That way if you're both successful, then you have nothing to worry about and you're both covered. And if only one person is successful but gets two, then you're still both covered. Easiest way to do it is to just parallel play and get tickets while sitting next to each other so you can communicate your success or failure.

Anyone else you're getting tickets for that can't be present in the room with you, it's probably best to just use alternate names that you can always transfer later when you figure out who still needs a ticket.

YAY!

I saw that tensor put a few of us on the list for people attending on the 24th. :)

I try to keep up with it.  While I don't require anyone let me know their intentions, as I hear of it or I get PMs, I add it to the list.  I figured if people know, they can at least look for each other.

Since my friends and I will be camping out all day (hotel the night before, complete with "The Hotel Agreement"), we'll be bringing a cooler of food/drinks.   Maybe it would be fun if we had a potluck with other members?

I'm going to be finding Jim's Star in the morning and taking the WB tour at 12:30, so I probably won't get to the line until 3:00-3:30, but I may try to look for you, if there's time. :)

I'm trying to decide whether or not I should bring my little digital camera as well as my phone, or just take pictures with my phone.  I would kind of like the camera, but at the same time, I don't want extra crap to carry around because whatever I take in the morning, I'll have with me all day until the taping, because I won't really have time to go back to my hotel at any point.

I think I want just my wallet (or just my ID and CCs), my phone, and maybe a notebook as my bare necessities, and then maybe a few other things.

Is there a WB store there where the tour starts/ends?  I want to get me some TBBT swag...

Thanks, guys!  That also saves me the hassle of downloading the pictures onto my cranky computer and then trying to post them, or duplicating photos with the camera and the smartphone.

I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!

Trying to imagine what it's going to be like, hoping for some LA sunshine (smog aside...), trying to decide what clothes I'm going to wear, blahblahblah. :p

Yea, the WB store is where the tours start & end

Thanks!  I'm going to try to get there a little early so I have some time to look around.  I may have time after the tour, but I want to be sure.

We need some kind of "high sign"--a secret whistle or something. :p

I'm thinking it's going to be kind of hot in LA--it was 85 today--but is it cold in the studio?  I tend to get cold if the indoor temp is below 75...  I'm like a lizard--I can't seem to generate my own body heat.

It will definitely be warm outside while you're waiting. The studio can get chilly (although I'm usually so full of adrenaline that I don't notice) but I would definitely advise bringing a layer that you can add on if you get cold.

Thanks--that's kind of what I'm thinking of.  Since I'm going to be walking around on the Walk of Fame and then doing the tour, I imagine I'll want to dress lightly, but carry a light jacket or whatever for the studio.

Every Friday I have to send a note to my supervisors about what projects are on my agenda for the coming week (I think of it as justifying my existence...) and so today I'm going to give them the heads-up that I'll be out of town a week from Tuesday.  I've told a few friends here at work, those who I know are TBBT/JP fans, but I haven't yet told my bosses.

I'm gonna be smiling so wide next Friday...
