It's about the beginning of season 9 so it's all hypothetically speaking, I'm gonna be in the US the whole summer working and I end my job on August 18th. I was thinking of staying 2 weeks after that and then flying home, so my question is, is it possible that there wouldn't be a taping on either August 25th or September 1st? They did have the first taping cancelled this season that was in early August. I think it is safe to say that there will be a taping some time in August. It would be extremely rare to not have a taping for the entire month of August. They usually squeeze in one or two during that time. Others with exact numbers might be able to help better, but I think it is a safe gamble to stay an extra two weeks because odds are they will have a taping. phantagrae Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 The only reason they cancelled the August taping this past summer was because the contracts weren't settled and the studio cancelled the taping. But I think they've traditionally had at least one taping toward the end of August. The taping dates should be available some time in July, since the tickets are released 30 dates in advance. We usually keep up with taping dates and ticket release dates here on the site, so if you're here over the summer, you should be able to find out specific dates while you're here. If you need to figure out when to fly back home, you might want to put it off as late as you can in order to give yourself some leeway. The early ones are kind of hard to get into because lots of people want to go then, but if you keep your ear to the ground and let people know, someone can probably guide you or help you get a ticket. fitzsimmons Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 The earlier tapings in the season are actually easier to get tickets to because people aren't aware of things being back in session yet. At least that's how it was for this season. Guaranteed tickets for the first scheduled taping were up for like 15 minutes before they were sold out. bogus7 Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Ahh...so excited about tomorrow. My husband and 3 friends/family and I are going to the taping and I wanted to check with you guys here. First to say thank you for the help getting the guarunteed tickets for my party. Second, to bug for more advice. We are considering doing the 11:15 WB studio lot tour, which should end somewhere between 1:30 and 2:00. I pretty much plan on going to the Big Bang line at that point. Should that be good to get a decent seat? I read that they open the doors a bit later, but I wasn't sure if it was worth trying to get there early to get a good spot, or if it did't matter much for the guarunteed tickets. Also, will I be able to park one if I am doing the studio tour first, or will I have to move? I think I read that the Big Bang garage doesn't open until 3:00, and that it's on the oposite side of the studio, though my group does not mind walking. Let me know what you can. Thanks a bunch!
