There are more fics that don't make much sense in the categories they were nominated for. For example, The Nowitzki Subterfuge isn't really an AU. But it's subjective, and we didn't want to tinker with the nominations. And I'm pretty sure Lisatronic3000 isn't on this forum, but a ton of people nominated The Monsterrat Resurgence for Best Written Sheldon -- also, it's an old fic, wasn't updated after the criteria date. I just realized this though, and I can't go back and fix it. Whoops! Such a good fic, though. I was wondering about this. I didn't think Lisatronic was on the forum, and I knew that fic was old. But I DO love it. Maybe you guys can just use the second place winner then if that one happens to win, since you want it to go to someone on the forum? Ha ha! Perhaps they know something I don't, may have to go read it and check, it's been a while since I wrote it! Glad to see I've got till the 31st Aug to vote, is 12am Pacific time the cut off again? Got to put my reading cap on! Transgression got a "Worst Breakup" too, and there was no breakup in that story. I found that amusing. I think I read every Shamy stories on FF lol. But some of them made their way in our memories and I voted for the one I remembered because of the way the person write it (I'm not gonna hide this, in fact most of you know that, I'm a big fan of Hazelra's work in her stories), the way the person write about Shamy together and Amy & Sheldon in their own personal way. I like few AU stories but the closer the writer is of the show, the better it is (for eg: when I read stories and that I can hear Sheldon and Amy's voices instead of my internal own, I think that the writer of this story did a real good job). As a writer myself, I think the best way to write something good is to write something for oneself first. If you're able to reread your work again and again and felt some sort of good feeling while doing this, you can share it. This my opinion but I think some of us will probably agree. IMO (again) everyone here deserved to win just because you people helped to survive to summer hiatus. Thanks again for everything. I don't know if I'm the only French writer to be nominate but it means a lot to me since I worked so hard to improve my English since I'm a teenager.
