This compares to a 11.1 with a 17 share for last weeks new episode, 8.17 The Colonalization Application. TBBT was first in households, with that 10.2/17. In second was The Odd Couple with a 6.6/11 and third was Scandal with a 6.4/10 In the Top 25 markets are not yet available. The vewers and demos should be up shortly. Tensor Week 25 Overnight Demo and Viewers 13 March, 2015 The new Episode 8.18 The Leftover Thermalization had a 4.4 with 16.08 million viewers, which placed it first in Demo and viewers. This was down from the last week's new episode 8.17 The Colonization Application in demo by three tenths, and down 1.80 million viewers. This was not unexpected due to Daylight Savings Time. In second for Demo was a tie with both Scandal and The Odd Couple pulling in a 2.6 (both down four tenths from last week). For viewers, second was The Odd Couple with 10.74 Million and third was a repeat of TBBT at 9:00 PM (8.12, The Space Probe Disintegration) with 9.65 million(it tied for third in demo with a 2.2) For the 18-34 demo, TBBT was first with a 2.7, Scandal was second with a 2.2, and third was Grey's Anatomy with a 1.7. In the 25-54 demo, TBBT had a 5.9, The Odd Couple was second with a 3.6 and in third at 3.5 was the 9:00 PM repeat of TBBT. I'll do the final update when the final ratings become available. Tensor Week 25 Final Ratings For Thursday, March 12, 2015 broadcasts, 13 March, 2015 At 8:00 PM, the new episode of TBBT, 8.18, The Leftover Thermalization, brought in a 4.4 , with 16.13 million people, even in demo and up (50,000) viewers from the overnights. It was down four tenths in demo and 2 million viewers from last weeks final, 8.17, The Colonization Application. At 9:00 PM, CBS repeated 8.12, The Space Probe Disintegration with a 2.2 demo even with the overnights and 9.39 million viewers. In first place, for demo, was TBBT with that 4.4. In second was Scandal at 2.7 , up one tenth from the overnights, but down three tenths from last week. In third was The Odd Couple, down a tenth from the overnights, and down five tenths from lat week. For viewers, TBBT was number one with those 16.13 million viewers. The Odd Couple was second with 10.24 million, down 500,000 from the overnights and down 2.1 million from last week. and the 9:00 PM repeat of TBBT (8.11, The Clean Room Infiltration) was in third at 9.39 million viewers, down 250,000 from the overnights and down 1.1 million viewers, from last weeks repeat 8.11 The Clean Room Infiltration. A couple of points. The drop from last week was expected due to, as I've mentioned before, the change to Daylight Savings Time (I said half a demo point (it was down four tenths) and about a million viewers, it was down 2 million). Also, the show was pre-empted in several markets in North Carolina (Raleigh, Roanoke, Charlotte) due to the Atlantic Coast Conference College Basketball Tournament. The rest of CBS' lineup dropped from the overnights due to that tournament. That TBBT stayed even actually meant it grew, before the those markets were taken out. Most of the top five, and indeed most of the top ten are usually pretty stable from week to week. However, for some reason this week had a lot of variation in where the shows finished this week. For example every week so far either Wheel of Fortune or Judge Judy has lead in household rating, until this week. Law and Order:CI finished number one for households. TBBT, having been in fourth place in viewers for most of the year jumped to number two this week. However, overall viewing is down. Normally there was a couple of show above a 7.0 household, the high this week was only 6.6. There are usually three or four show over ten million viewers, only one this week. For the 18-34 demo, TBBT was first with a 2.2, Grey's Anatomy and Scandal were tied for second with a 1.8. In the 25-54 demo, TBBT had a 5.1, The Odd Couple and Mom were tied for third with a 3.2. The 9:30 PM repeat had a 1.1 in the 18-34 demo, and a 1.9 demo in the 25-54 demo, both good for sixth on the night, out of 15 programs. Good news for CBS as MOM increased all three demos and over a million viewers coming out of TBBT repeat. It was only a tenth less in the 18-34 demo and even in the 25-54 demo with The Odd couple. Considering The Odd Couple starts with the numbers out of a new TBBT, and airs a half hour earlier, it appears that Mom is picking up viewers and is looking solid to anchor the 9 PM slot next year. Tensor Week 35 Overnights: Households, Overnight Demo and Viewers 22 May, 2015 Again, I'm doing things a bit different this week as I didn't get the Household overnights this morning. So, there will only be the Overnight Demo, and Viewers. At 8 PM, there was a repeat of 8.17, The Colonization Application. As for the demo and viewers, 8.17, The Colonization Application had a 1.5 with 8.00 million viewers. On a night of mostly repeats TBBT was first in demo with that 1.5, A repeat of The Odd Couple was in second with a 1.3 and there was a tie for third between a repeat of Mom and a new Wayward Pines at 1.2 TBBT was first with the 8.00 million viewers. Second was The Odd Couple repeat with 6.40 million and in third was The Mom repeat with 5.90 million viewers. An interesting sidelight for this week, is that Modern Family had their season finale the night before. It pulled in a 2.3 demo, with 7.80 million viewers. It was a SERIES low, dropping below the 2.5 it received on Thanksgiving Eve, in its first season, 2009. I'll add a final post when the final numbers come in. Tensor Week 35 Final Ratings For Thursday, May 26, 2015, for broadcasts on 21 May, 2015 At 8:00 PM, the repeat of TBBT, 8.17, The Colonization Application, brought in a 1.6 , with 8.11 million people, up a tenth in demo and 110,000 viewers from the overnights. In first place, for demo, was TBBT with a 1.6, up a tenth from the overnights, but down four tenths from last week's number one. In second was a repeat of The Odd Couple with a 1.3, up a tenth from the overnights and down nine tenths with last week, and a tie for third with a 1.2 between a repeat of Mom and a new episode of Wayward Pines, both even with the overnights and down eight tenths for third place. The steep drop for first and second is understandable as both were season finales last week. For viewers, TBBT was number one with those 8.11 million viewers, even with the overnights, and down 1.46 million viewers from last week. The Odd Couple was second with 6.32 million, down 80,000 from the overnights and up 1.87 million from last weeks second place. The Odd Couple was in third at 5.87 million viewers, down 70,000 from the overnights and down 2.34 million viewers, from last week. Tensor Preliminary Post on End of Season Ratings. May 25th, 2015 I'll be doing a full post on this later, but the final ratings for the season are out, so I thought I'd let everyone know. The ratings used are what is called C3, it's the number of people watching the show AND THE COMMERCIALS, up to three days after the show is broadcast. This placed it fourth in Demo behind Sunday Night Football (7.3), Empire (7.1), and Thursday Night Football (5.9. One caveat, TNF includes all of the viewers on the NFL network). In terms of viewers, TBBT-1 was number two in viewers, trailing only Sunday Night Football, with 20.8 Million viewers. TBBT-2 had a 4.6 demo, with 15.8 million viewers. This placed it seventh in both demo (behind the previous four and the Sunday and Thursday pre-game football shows. In demo, the shows in eighth, ninth, and tenth were Modern Family (4.3), Scandal (4.3) and The Voice (4.0). In viewers, Shows between TBBT-1 and TBBT-2 were NCIS, NCIS:NO, and Empire. Shows below TBBT-2, in viewers, were Thursday Night Football pregame, Dancing with the Stars, and Madam Secretary. In addition to the new shows, repeats were broken down into two categories. TBBT 9:00 PM and TBBT 9:30 PM (either night). TBBT 9:00 PM tied for 46th with 2.3 demo. Remember, these were repeats that beat shows running new episodes. The 9:30 PM show had a 1.9 demo (finishing 69th) and 8.4 million viewers (finishing 56). In demo it was tied with shows like Madam Secretary, Blue Bloods, Revenge and ahead of shows like State of Affairs, The Good Wife, and New Girl.
