Something similar happened when Bernadette and Amy came on the show with both characters only slowly growing into how we know them today.

speaking of Amy's character, I agree with @ camelliayao  "Her personality is whatever the plot requires it to be."http://forum.the-big-bang-theory.com/topic/6877-1012-the-holiday-summation-january-5/?do=findComment&comment=554153

in 6x07,for example, amy was impolite to Will at first, acting like a real "pain in the ass",But I never blame her.she is just a tool to help the storyline.

I like to think it was just a major misunderstanding on Amy's part very similar to when she thought Leonard fell in love with her when they went to that wedding together.

The wedding thing confused me too.Staying late in Leonerd's,until S came back, she asked leonerd to go to the wedding.Someone said it was Amy wanting to make sheldon jealous,er,which freaked me out .It sounds horrible so I choose not to believe it no matter how realistic it is.

But I still think Amy cared more about her and penny than her and sheldon in that period.

Spoiler alert: they are all fictional characters and will do whatever the story requires them to do. That doesn't just apply to Amy but to everyone. And I disagree that her personality changes drastically from episode to episode. All the characters are written as multifaceted individuals which allows a wide range of behaviours that is still within the margins of believable fluctuations you can expect from real people. In other words: everyone has bad days and good days - even fictional characters.

I think it was just her not wanting to go to the model train store, where she has "no interest in model trains, stores that sell them, nor their heartbreaking clientele", or go to the wedding with someone who would "behave like a child the entire time".

I think you are probably correct.

After all, they weren't, at that point, boyfriend and girlfriend.

You can have sleep apnea, without snoring.

From The 43 Peculiarity:-

Sheldon: I’m not saying you don’t have attractive qualities. Your choice of friends is impeccable, you’re a good sleeper, and last but not least, you buy the grapes I like. You’re a real catch compared to some snoring guy with a fridge full of lousy grapes.

That certainly implies Leonard doesn't snore, but, in this episode, Leonard does snore.

There's also the comment in season three where Sheldon says he doesn't snore(the title escapes me right now) it's possible that his sleep apnea got worse to the point where he started snoring.

You're thinking of "The Einstein Approximation."
