MTBigBangTheoryFan
I was not going to watch because of what is a snub in my opinion from the Golden Globes toward the TV Shows on Major Networks this year as barely nothing on the major networks were nominated which I think is kind of shameful. I did eventually decide to watch only for Tina & Amy and to see the Movie awards Winners. Why can't TV Broadcast Shows and Films have a night to themselves without all the other stuff? Give Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, Showtime, etc,. their own Awards shows and leave TV Big Four TV Networks and Films Alone. It not fair for TV Shows on the Four Network and Films to compete with Hulu, Amazon, etc,. I hope TV Producers and Film Producers take a stand soon. MsTeller
I liked most of the dresses. I thought everyone who won and presented spoke very well. I was not familiar with most of the movies and TV shows that were up there and have not actually seen any of them so I can't offer much there. I entertained myself by trying to count how many times Joaquin Phoenix has been nominated for an Oscar or Golden Globe and not won. It has to be about a dozen altogether! I still think his not winning the Oscar for "Gladiator" was one of the biggest award mistakes ever.

I agree...this is what SHOULD happen and it is upsetting that it is not happening. I hope the networks wake up because they are going to find that it is going to get harder and harder to be relevant if people can get shows so easily through other means at their own convenience and are walking way with awards...while network shows are not. It will be a lot harder for them to keep advertisers, etc. I don't get their complacency.
3ku11
I agree I think traditional sitcoms or comedies on major networks in America anyway are getting devalued. How many times did a host or nomimee/winner mention Amazon. I lost count HAHa. Its seems unfair these shows who play by the rules in a traditional sense. But as they lack presence on these streaming services they get snubbed. Its creating a divide. Its not just award shows. It nothing changes the time bbt, MF etc. Ends what's the future of not only sitcoms but network TV? It is setting a bad precedence. It is a slow death ,network tv is a dinasour now adays.the Cable and digital areas are the new future .Sorry I barley watch network tv anymore it either going on youtube to whatch a gaming channel or going to sites like Channel Awsome to whatch what they are producing(which deals with nerd culture stuff).Heck if I do watch a tv program it either HBO shows(Game of Thrones,Newsroom,True Dectives) on Blue Ray or a specific anime on Blue Ray. Also I am watching BBT less and less as I am finding it broing to watch and also (this might sound a bit sexist) now that Kaley got married. Sometimes I can be a Jerk Yeah fair enough I well admit I was heartbroken when she got married haha. Even under the illusion she's a celeb so she's unattainable lol. Had a thing for her since Bridget. But I've enjoyed the shows story and character development. And Penny's character growth. So still find the show interesting. I see your point of view tho. I prefer the fresh and unique humour in 1-3. But thats what DVDs are good for. I agree tho network TV is slowly dieing. Tbh big bang is its only saving grace. If Big Bang was on cabel it would need a Pg rating haha. But they may do better with awards too. Edited January 12, 2015 by 3ku11

The preacher
Lets be honest as someone mentioned this could send a bad presient were all the stuff is super-serious and too adult.Yes I love the HBO shows but I hate to see all those show all the time.Atlest with the BBT you had your stupid dumb fun comedy and I want to see a superhero film with stupid men wearing tights and fighing the ridiculaous villians. because that is fun and excapasim fantasy is a good thing and we should not let that go because I fear the day when the next generation of youth will turn into conformist and snobish children.ugh this James Joyce culture we live in is getting out of had. now where is my comic book. I think the real bad precedence being set here. Is 1. Awarding shows specfically comedies for being trendy, based on being on Hulu, Amazon, or Netflix. And 2. Tradtional Multi Camera Sitcoms on Major TV Networks being overlooked because of this. If things don't change the Network TV norm may die. Big Bang as good as it is, even still in S8 still watchable. Being on a Network, its just not going to get nominated. Too many politics. Not one major network tv show was nominated this year. Hopefully the Emmys change that, but who knows. MTBigBangTheoryFan
Modern Family well probably win again haha, so not sure about that. There no way they will win a sixth time. No show has ever won six Times. Up until last year only one show in 60 Years won five Times. And plus it not funny anymore and ratings have gone down a lot. Critics even trashes it now. I think it laughable that Modern Family has won more Awards then show that were much better then it like dDck van Dyke, All In the Family and Marty Tyler Morre. True Classics. Agree tbh Modern Family is just a Modern Take on Family Ties. I just find it ironical. How many comedies are on tv about families? How many comedies on tv about Sceintists? NONE. You think the industry would award uniqeness but obviousley not. I mean it deserved its first two. After that, its just been a joke.

3ku11
Big Bang Theory not family sitcom Well yeah. But I think thats part of why shows like Big Bang don't win. Too niche maybe. But like Friends, a show about 20 somethings basically living on the backdrop of Geek Culture. With no real family presence. Some reason has no appeal to the industry. Of course we see cameos from parents, but not reguarly. Modern Family ain't consistently amazing like Big Bang IMO. But it has those few gems. Like at the end of the episode, the family learn something. That edge appeals these kinda awards. To be honest that dramatic edge, the only time I have seen that in BBT is Season 2 Finalie. Penny by the door in the end. Its just not BBT style. But I don't think it should compromise on its unique style. Either the industry take BBT for what it is, or it doesen't simple as that.
