What's the point of reading a spoiler if one's not going to wildly speculate on it? :icon_razz:

Doesn't fan stand for fanatic? I'm just doin' ' my bit. Why expect moderation? Just being here puts a tick in the "not prone to just having a cup of tea and a good lie down" box. :)

THURSDAY, MAY 7

THE BIG BANG THEORY (8:00-8:30 PM)

“The Commitment Determination” – Sheldon (Jim Parsons) pushes Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting) to choose a date for their wedding and deals with dramatic changes in his own relationship with Amy (Mayim Bialik).

Episode guide entry still to come.

Funny but the first thing that popped into my was the Darth Vader theme music.  Not sure why; I think it it was response to the word "pushes".

I get 'Wild Wild Love' by Pitbull. I wonder why?  :icon_redface:

I wont discuss the Shamy story because I honestly don't care, but how incredibly pathetic it is that Sheldon is the one who has to push Penny and Leonard to set a date for their wedding.

Withhold your judgement until Taping Report comes out or when the Episode airs. Pushing could mean anything. It may not mean that he forced or ordered them to pick a date.

I am  very curious as to why Sheldon's sudden change of heart, he ran off last summer partly because of the Lenny engagement, and has been dragging his feet about Leonard moving out all season, now all of a sudden he is pushing Lenny to pick a date? - something has to be up.

if Penny leaves for an acting job he might push for them to make it more official because he's even more worried about the stress breaking them up. Gotta maintain that homeostasis as best as you can.

Which actually means, Nograv that YOU hope. With how they're writing Leonard I can't say I know anymore. He's become a total pushover. I remember when Penny told him she liked taking charge Leonard. Do you remember those times? Seems like a lifetime away, and two completely different characters.

Makes one think he really liked that sleepover. :maninlove:

More likely it's some silly new reason that no one could possibly guess. One of his projects needs room to grow so he needs Leonard out or some such. Sheldon is always an enigma.

Hello! Long time lurker here - a Jim Parsons, Mayim Bialik and ShAmy fan. I enjoy reading posts especially the taping reports. I still look forward to watching the show even after reading the taping reports.

I think Sheldon pushing Leonard and Penny for a wedding date will bring up one of his "Sheldonisms" - his everything-has-to-have-a-schedule-like-my-pajama-rotation-and-breakfast and will probably provide the "geek" punchline for this episode.

Season 8 has a lot of significant ShAmy moments (Sheldon saying "I love you too", admitting to Bernadette how much she loves Amy and indirectly, to the rest of the gang upon receiving Amy's gift of cookies, getting a turtle together leading to them planning a future together, first sleepover, shooting that FwF finale). Personally I think him having an emotional turmoil about starting his career again from "scratch" (episode 6) will somehow be dragged to whatever relationship problem he might have with Amy. I wouldn't mind Sheldon to have a flashback of that time Penny brought Sheldon to a psychic and the psychic told him that if he fully commits himself to Amy everything will fall into place for him.

I wonder though if they will shoot another flash mob. Jim dancing to "Uptown Funk" is pure delight. The cast is a pretty good dancer.
