Some supportive words for my favorite couple, because I'm in the mood:

In spite of it all... I still believe in Lenny and their love for each other. I will never ever give up on them...no matter what.

Lenny for life! :firstmove:

Leonard's father and mother in the final episode. What's up with that?:girlimpossible:

Really, leonard better stay in his roon while his parents are in town; Penny will handle them like when Leonard sends her to kill spiders in the bathtub.

Okay.  No taping this week.  No new episode.  I'm getting a little antsy, especially since there are only two new episodes to tape and only four more to view......That means I've been doing a lot of thinking about Leonard and Penny.  A lot.  A lot!

Atoms.  The overriding theme of the show is atoms.  They are the key to the sciences.   The key to life.  On The Big Bang Theory, most scenes are divided/introduced by an animated view of an atom spinning. Turning. Doing its atom "thing". The merchandise we purchase features the show's logo, which has, yes, an atom.  Atoms.

Here it goes.  A stretch, I'm sure.  But what the heck.  "Penny, we are made of particles that have existed since the moment the universe began. I like to think those atoms traveled 14 billion years through time and space to create us so we could be together and make each other whole." (her reaction; her speechlessness was priceless----he got to her.  He got to her big!).

Atoms. That Leonard, at that moment, the moment that makes him and his love whole, tells us that everything, everything is atoms, brings it all into line (for me anyway).  This show, despite the Sheldon centric aim it appears to have taken of late, is about atoms.  Those atoms that created Leonard and Penny.  The atoms that brought them together so they could be one (this is also a call-back to Stuart and his remark) amazing person.

I guess what I'm trying to say, is that I am hopeful for them.  Despite what we may be reading in to things, despite our perceptions that the relationship is troubled, I am in a good place in my mind for Penny & Leonard.  I'm sorry that the comedic mood and knee jerk reaction of TPTB is to be snarky and have humor be a little mean spirited, but that is the mood of this place in time, I think.  They are fine and will end up fine.

Sorry, but blame it on the lack of "new stuff".  Please comment.  Let it out!!!  #ILoveLeonardAndPenny

Jumping right on the Lenny Train too.  Like Hokie, I think about them a lot too. I'm far from done with them.  The writers have all the ingredients they need to write a better Lenny with just a little tweaking.  A little less snark, a little more love and all will be well for Leonard and Penny.  I keep hoping that Penny has a mini-epiphany about how much she loves her husband and their life together and how lucky they both are to have found each other and remembers about  "those atoms that created Penny and Leonard. The atoms that brought them together so they could be one..." Like we often do here,   I'd like her to look back on their long history which is an amazing testament to their love.  Eye-rolling and teasing is fine when that affirmation of love is clear and put out there now and again for all to see. Just like IRL,  too much snark and sarcasm can be corrosive to a relationship. A glimpse at Penny's "soft" side always makes it all better for Leonard (and me.) Hoping S 9 finishes up with a bit of that "fine" we have been hoping for.

We've been given fleeting glimpses during Season 9 that they are very happy to spend time with each other.  Between everything else that is going on (and there is quite a lot this season), to me anyway, the fact that they both enjoy the company of their spouse is evident.  Again, that every episode is bursting with plot lines makes it difficult to follow a favorite paring.

I can remember Seinfeld would have three things going on in each episode and they always seemed to find a way to meld everthing by the end.  I think TBBT has not found the way to fit in more than two plot lines without it being a strain.

Release the negative 4everlenny!  I was right there with you, but have thought about the long road they have traveled (like those atoms!!) and am truly of a new mind-set concerning our favorite pair.  No matter what happens good or bad, they are darling to each other, and in my mind prescious!

...and say what you will about Sheldon's party and the 200th episode.....she is wearing the heart locket!!!!!

Love all the positivity in the last few posts. Really hoping for a happy ending of s9. Won't ever give up on them! I Am 4 Ever Lenny!

I can only repeat what I wrote yesterday. I signed up for the whole journey on the Lenny ship, and I have no plan to leave the ship before the journey ends. Before I went on board, I was well aware that this journey won't go through a smooth sea alone, no, there will also be a rough sea at times, shoals and cliffs to sail round. But that's okay for me, because Lenny are endgame, that's my firm conviction. So in the end, after a journey with drama and angst, but with love and affection too, simply with ups and downs, both of them will be fine.

So again, and I don't mind if I repeat myself, my belief in Lenny and their love for each other is unswerving. There's no chance, I will ever give up on them. Period. :icon_biggrin:

Not much going on in the Lenny thread today.

Well, I made a new Lenny drawing, that I wanted to upload here to bring some joy. But some postings in the discussion thread really got me down. If you are yet interested I'll upload the drawing in good quality tomorrow. Here's a preview.
