 I really think the character saying I was on purpose to suggest she would have spent, confirming his reason for doing it.  That was the joke she was mad at him for hiding it because she would spend it, but the fact was that was exactly what she would have done.

i would say in the cold opening it pick up from last week

penny talk about the do over with him, she would love to have 

her family. leoanrd said even your brother. so at the end she slap 

him on the arm, said would marry you twice. they did that scene

3 times after the third johnny said that hurt it was real playfull.

first time in front of penny place and it not there, but it was at 

my end

MJC , in an earlier post you said something about the scene at the airport and Penny hugging, then saying it was good to see Alfred AGAIN. Was that correct.  Did they give the impression Penny and Alfred had met before?

 For all Leonard knows IF he had taken time to sit down and explain to her why he's not touching that money (unless it was an emergency), Penny might have respected his wishes.  We don't know for sure if Penny has taken anything out either way since she learned about it.

But back to the money, that scene makes no sense, because what happen to all that money Leonard put into the joint account from Penny selling the car he bought her.  Also remember she wanted him to take it back because she didn't need it because she has plenty of money now and later she, in another episode' she told him she was making so much money she 'had a guy' to handle her investments.  So that whole scene with the secret account didn't make sense, it was just there as an excuse so Penny could confess she hated her job.  I bet we never hear about it again and it goes in TBBT library of one time events.

I was just thinking... If Penny quit her job, she would have to buy a new car, since the only car she currently owns is the company car. This makes it even harder to quit her job.

I would really like to see Penny go back to acting.  I use to get a kick how excited she was when she got the commercial and the part on NCIS.  Her job now seems to have just gotten so dull.  Maybe she could be offered a movie part because a director liked her on Serial Apiest, nothing big but enough for her to try acting again.  There are plenty of actors that make a living acting that never become big stars.  I would also like to see her have a small recurring part in a show, like Joey had in friends only a smaller part, but at just so she could least get a weekly salary and be a working actor.

Well, it would be contradictory to her inability to actually do a successful audition (like the one for that Clerks 3 movie, which she stunk up, as she said herself). But give her a job that made Penny happy. Unfortunately, the writers didn't develop Penny enough to let us know what she liked to do except for acting (partying doesn't count).

They could develop the psychology angle. Didn't she take a class in season 7? (where that thing with Leonard's mother's book happened)

If they decide to do anything with Pennys work, I don´t think it will be to go back to acting. I think they will come up with something completely unexpected. I´m not sure we will hear anything more about her dull work.

I'd be disappointed if she went back to acting after all the pain she went through. Ultimately she got nothing but sadness out of her acting career. Psychology sounds nice, though. She has great people skills.

I don't see acting being an option, she said herself that she doesn't want to go back to it.  I think if they do change her career it's going to be something left field and not what people expect.

I don't see Penny as a psychologist per se, but she could do sth which would demand some psychology knowledge. Something like being a social worker or working in an organisation that helps people in some way (poor people, victims of abuse, orphans, etc). Maybe she could work as a first aid telephone person (I'm sorry, this is totally not the correct term but I can't remember it right now) for victims of abuse, depressed/suicidal people and so on...She's a very caring person as well as a people person and I think she would find such a job very fulfilling. Not to mention that these kinds of jobs carry a lot of responsibility which could help ease her into adulthood.
