I really enjoyed that episode!

After setting the plot for the episode –separation in two groups for the different activities- I so appreciated to be unspoiled because I just didn’t know where this was going. Maybe a drunk Amy would tell Sheldon how much she desires him? Or whatever, I had now clue. It would just surface in front of me with a lot of little surprises. I like that.

I liked Sheldon and Bernadette together. I was a little sad about Howard and Amy. They had so much fun together at the scavenger hunt. Don’t know what to think about Raj. That dating two girls thing is just out of character. And it’s hard to believe that Emily agrees to that after she had an exclusive relationship with Raj and after how it ended. She doesn’t seem to be the desperate type.

And wow – the usually lighthearted show addressed weapons of war and the question of responsibility of being a part of it, even if you invent/develop for another purpose. Kudos!

A lot of funny lines, I laughed out loud several times. The star wars toast. Getting dizzy. Everything about the Claire-affair at the wine tasting. Great use of Zack. Are you married to each other?

I have to acknowlegde that the writers still manage to deliver the punchlines, they are not getting sloppy. O.k., there is the inconsistent writing, but that existed form the beginning, and I guess it is partly caused by the high rate of punchlines.

Of course I missed sweet Shamy scenes! But there are two episodes to go, I guess (hope) they kept it for those or at least for the final episode of the season. *happily-longingly sighing*

It was last week's episode (Viewing Party Combustion), and tbh I loved it much more in the taping than on screen! They've cut some stuff from the beginning of the episode to fit in an extra scene with Stuart, and because of that in my opinion the beginning seemed kind of incomplete/rushed a little bit... Also in that episode most scenes were shot in 4A/4B/elevator, and it was easy to see , so that was good!

Aaaahh! Can you please share to us what they cut? I'm a spoiler free..so no reading of TR's. That episode has passed anyway so it's not spoiler anymore.

actually I've just re-watched it and I'm not sure... At first I thought there were more Shelnard fighting scenes,  but I guess not! Maybe it just felt longer cause of many takes...
But I do remember that Stuart's line about his cloak being caught in a chain of his bike was a rewrite, so that additional scene with Stuart on a bike must have taken screen time from smth else, right? but I don't remember from what, sorry! : (

This episode was amazing. I'm just gonna go out there and say it, Zack is amazing. He should be a guest star more often. His lines always crack me up. Also I would totally be the person to ask for ice at a wine tasting event. 

Not much Shamy to talk about but I enjoyed them in their separate scenes. Sheldon playing the D&D game with Bernadette was really sweet and very kind of him. Amy throwing Penny under the bus about the comments about Claire and then Penny throwing Amy under the bus was really funny. 

This episode was very enjoyable for me. I actually have the urge to see it again, which I haven't for a while now.

I'm glad karma got Rajerk at least a little bit.

I don't see what Claire likes in him...he's been a total idiot in front of her. [emoji53]

Its sad, that Amy and Howard didn't pick up their common interests since they had a great time at the quiz...weird.

That was the episode that I saw taped as well. They added the bit with Stuart on the bike and the guys taunting him. I don't think they cut anything from the actual taping. I think they just added the scenes when they realized that their run time was low and they had the space for it.

I actually enjoyed the first line they used with Stuart. It was about his cloak getting caught in the car door of the uber that he was taking. It makes more sense to me for Stuart to have taken an uber than for him to take his bike.

I didn't have a problem with them wanting to do different things. I mean Howard and Bernie do different things so do Leonard and Penny, I think it's pretty natural to have a bit of a disagreement over not wanting to do the same things together.

I enjoyed last Thursday's episode a lot!

Was this the first time all season that the seven of them sat around eating together in 4A, or did I forget something? Anyway, happy to see that classic intro. Possessive Sheldon is kind of cute, and of course he wouldn't have been pleased at Amy getting a massage. The whole brief mention of them going out to the mall was great.

Sheldon may have planned out activities that he would enjoy, but it ended up being just right for Bernadette. Sweet and thoughtful Sheldon is refreshing, even if it may have been partly accidental/coincidental.

I agree with Jonny 83 that Shamy going off to do their own things seems like a very normal, healthy thing for a couple. Howard and Amy were so funny on the scavenger hunt that I wish we'd gotten a little more of that kind of interaction, but it does seem like they wouldn't have much in common outside of their group of friends.

I'm definitely going to watch this one again soon.

You're not mistaken - that was the only classic 4A take-out dinner scene with the full group since... uhm... I can't even remember when we last had a scene like that. 8x11??? OMG that's so long ago! They had some dinners in the meanwhile but there was always someone missing.

Wow, that's even longer ago than I thought! It's such a tiny, simple thing, but it makes me happy to see it again.

So what did we all think of the last episode? I personally didn't care for it too much but I am waiting to see how the finale turns out.

Wasn't a fan of the episode or the Shamy storyline. I think Amy summed it up best with her line about both of them falling into the old bad habit of not communicating and being honest with each other.

If Sheldon had just been honest with Amy and said he didn't want to go shopping then it would have been fine. But then there would have been no comedy...

I didn’t like it that much either. Shamy storyline a bit back to the old frustrations for Amy. And I personally can’t bear disharmony very good, so the conflict between Penny and her mother-in-law and between Sheldon and the guy who cut the line made me uncomfortable.

 

So will the ceremony of Penny and Leonard be the special thing in the season finale or will there be any cliffhangers, too? And is that ceremony making amends for the for many viewers disappointing Lenny wedding, do the writers get influenced by fan reactions and wisher? Regarding Shamy, I'd say clearly yes (thankfully!)

 

However, I’m waiting eagerly for the season finale, hoping for special Shamy moments. The ring? And for the option to read in the whole forum again, until the taping of 10 x 1. Since I avoid to look anywhere outside this thread, are there news about whether the show will go beyond season 10?

It's nice to know I wasn't the only one who was disappointed with it. It seemed really strange for me to have Sheldon come back and apologize the way he did.

I have wondered if the writers gave in to fan disappointment over the Lenny wedding. I mean it doesn't really matter if they did or not, but it makes me curious what pushed them to do this special ceremony. What do you mean by the bold? Is there something specific that you are referring to? 

Also, I too am excited to look at the whole forum. I want to see how everyone else feels about the season and read all fans not just spoiler free fans reactions.

Nothing specific, a lot of "awww" Shamy moments that were maybe inspired bei Shamy fanfiction (e.g. Amys fanfiction...) or ShamyShipper wishes. Like the Sheldon initiated kiss, coitus. The writers often make me happy and if it's because of fans, I definitively like it.

Lots of rants on Tumblr about the latest episode. I was disappointed myself. Hearing it's 'Shamy-centric' got me excited but finally watching it, reaaaaaally underwhelming. Also, I already expected Beverly to be fascinated by Amy. It seems like they want Amy to be parallel to Penny when it comes to in-laws. Meemaw likes Penny instead of Amy; Beverly likes Amy instead of Penny. Why is tptb always engrossed with parallels...like all the time??? I hope the finale makes up for this ep.

L.O.V.E. Stuart in this, by the way. He's just A-dorable! Still quite a pushover but in a very funny and charming way. Finally! Not the one who gets harshly bullied by the rest of the gang.

I've been trying to stay away from the spoiler pages, but the spoiler-free pages are so quiet in comparison, that I have peeked into the Shamy spoiler page.  There are spoilers there, but a lot of the discussion is not spoiler-related.  It would be nice if some of that discussion carried over here or to the episode pages so we can remain spoiler free but also be more a part of the conversation.

Yep the bold is what I have been hoping would happen in here but it usually doesn't. The beginning of season 7 was actually a really good time in the spoiler free shamy thread, lots of people posted their thoughts and people hoped back and forth from the spoiler page to the non spoiler page. Problem is especially with a pretty lame episode like last Thursdays is that people want to come on and say things like, "well at least we know the next one is good" or something like that.
