I feel much the same about it. Love the A-plot of Earworm but the B-plot was so forgettable that it kinda drags the whole thing down a bit. Spock was great on the A-plot and the B-plot had some funny and sweet moments with Howardette - now made even better that we know their baby-talk actually lead to something! :D

But just as well, I'll be happy either way! <3

In addition to those you mentioned:

- the bed scene in 9x11 was perfect but I also really like the scene when they're still on the couch - both scenes are complementing each other wonderfully!

- their post-9x11 skype calls were so so adorkable! what they lack in length they make up for in cuteness <3

- and of course, in agreement with Judith, the Solder episode was full of great Shamy scenes as well

That being said every main character seems to have a uniform minus Penny.  Sheldon's superhero/comic tees, Leonard's enviro tees plus hoodie , Raj's old man cardigans plus cargos, Howie's skinny colourful jeans plus Dickie and bright top, Bernie's dresses, tights and cropped cardigans and Amy's old lady wear.

Hmmm I looked at what I wear to work....I may dress like one of the characters.  Dresses, tights, platform sandals so I can be a bit taller, a cardigan cause I'm always cold.  Lol!  I guess I have a uniform too!

 

we all have a 'uniform' but we really never pay attention to it. I literally wear jeans every day. During the winter, they are paired up with sweaters/jumpers and during the warmer months, tees and other colourful shirts. This is my attire even at work. I have been dressing like this for the last 25 years. Comfort trumps style for me any day.

Hello shamy shippers!

I know it´s been a  while since my last post. But things are very stressful for me at the moment  and I feel exhausted. But that doesn´t mean, that I have given up being a shamy shipper, even if the last episode felt incomplete. There are so many open stories, I just hope the writers will grant every story a happy ending, before the show ends.

Let´s hope that we get to see a Shamy wedding and hopefully a change of living arrangements. *Fingers crossed*

And after we had Leonard "the sexy naughty carrot", and Raj the  "spank me hard, ´cause I like it" pole dancer, I soooo would like to see "sexy Sheldon".

I don´t care if  Amy is having a hot day dream or if Sheldon  looses a bet and Amy would have to choose what he has to do for it. I would like to see Sheldon wearing some short pants, a muscle shirt (the tightest-fitting they can find!) and a long hair wig, (because we know how much Amy  would love to see him wearing his hair long lol) while he does a  sexy pole dance for Amy. Imagine Sheldon trying to blow the hair out of face or trying to put it back with his hands, because it falls into his sight everytime and he is sweating because of the giant spot lights aimed at him, while Amy is walking around him, filming him from  different angles.

Sheldon could do something like this:

Idk about the pole-dancing in particular but a BIG YES to Sheldon trying to be flirty/sexy/whatever - if done well that could be hilarious, even if it's just a dream. There's so much new comedy potential with Shamy now and they haven't even scratched the surface!

I'd love to have one story where Sheldon gets some misguided boyfriend advice and in trying to translate it into action hilarity ensues. Not only would it be something fun to do for Jim but I also really like stories that kinda flip the character dynamics around. So far we have had mostly Amy in the role of the pursuer who's occasionally flirty and playful but Sheldon doesn't get it. I would love it if we'd get a story with Sheldon walking in her proverbial shoes and try to be flirty and everything, probably coming across awkward as hell in the process, which then leaves Amy befuddled like "Did you get hit on the head??" LOL

Yes I keep saying there is huge comedy potential in horny Sheldon......especially if it leaves Amy a bit clueless what he's after at first !!!!

They have barely scratched the surface with Shamy, I think there is a ton of potential comedic material with them but if this season is indeed the last then we may have to accept that it will not come to full fruition.

I like the idea of there being a reverse of roles for a storyline, Sheldon actively pursuing Amy and being flirty. I'm not sure Amy though would be totally clueless about it as she's far too sharp for that but her stunned WTF is going on reaction could be hilarious. Not sure the writers would have the balls to do it though, even if it's perfectly plausible and not OOC that Sheldon would now be comfortable doing something like that.

Hope everyone is having a stress free and happy summer so far, July is going to be a tough month for me personally but I am hoping that the forum will provide part of a necessary distraction.

Agree, Opening Night vs Earworm it is. I will definitely vote for Earworm, because as much as I loved Opening Night and as much as I think it was perfectly done...Earworm is my favourite. Don't get me wrong, I love their brilliant minds, but it was just so wonderful to see Sheldon acting without thinking first. And I loved the way he acted in Earworm.

Opening Night for me, flawless episode.

Earworm was very good though. In fact that run of Platonic, Earworm and Opening Night were top quality.

You know, I could buy her to be clueless for a little while. When in the hoarding episode Sheldon had that "It's still two hours before my bed-time"-moment, her expression was priceless, for me she knew for sure he wasn't referring to sex and had a "what the hell is in his mind"-kind of look. So I could imagine Sheldon trying to seduce her and Amy not realizing it because he has never done that before. Of course, I don't think she could possibly be clueless forever, but I'd like an episode with clueless Amy and teasing Sheldon, it would be a nice change after countless seasons of teasing Amy and clueless Sheldon, LOL!

It's Opening Night for me too, for me it was just perfect. I don't know if this year (like last season) there is a "All times favourite"-episodes tournament, but if so I'm pretty curious to see how far Opening Night can go.

I agree!  Opening Night was sweet, tender, loving and a wonderful coming together of Sheldon and Amy.  But Earworm is the first (and only) time we've seen a passionate Sheldon.  Yes, his mind went out the window, and he was raw emotion and passion for Amy.  I loved it!  I want to see that Sheldon again writers !

same, Opening Night as a whole from start to finish was perfection where Earworm had moments where you see both of them in situations of longing, but the B plot didn't do anything for me.  Opening the entire proton convo coupled with the guys going to Star Wars and nervous...perfect!

A difficult choice, for me, between Opening night and Earworm. The whole scene, in Opening night, from Amy entering the bedroom to the kiss in bed is so beautiful and the acting from Jim and Mayim is perfection. In Earworm there's the ILY's,that first make up kiss and then Sheldon can't wait to get his lips back on Amy's and ....oh the passion in that kiss!!

I know it´s not much possible, that we will het to see Sheldon doing a pole dance for Amy, but a girl can dream.

The bold part cracked me up, this would be hilarious! LOL

I´m sure Sheldon would give her a bewildered "What are you talking about?" look.

Flirty Sheldon or at least Sheldon trying to be flirty could be so hilarious, becoming more and more ambitious to improve on that field, I love his researches! But they are best, when they do research together like in "Herb Garden". I´m missing their social studies!

I would laugh out loud if they got a Nobel Prize for their social experiments on young couples and their friends would find out that they were part of their little experiments and would therefore freak out.

Oh, before I leave I would like to share a Shamy video with you guys, I found on youtube, a few days ago.

It was a nice overall episode but how can you consider Earworm Reverberation a great episode from a strictly Shamy POV ? Amy was ready to have sex with Dave and would have done so, had Sheldon not had his earworm epiphany(after being pushed) Doesn't reflect very nicely on either Sheldon or Amy.

Not saying that Amy or Sheldon shouldn't have sex with whoever they like(they were both single after all) but it was underwhelming, since sex was always so annoyingly,  made such a huge deal for them by the writers(D&D episode anyone ?) 

 I still think Opening Night is slightly better of the two episodes, but that is just my opinion. LOL.TBH Season 9 has largely been a pile of CRAP, apart from 9x09-9x11 and 2 -3 episodes in the second half of s9.

You don't know that for a fact but based on how she acted with Sheldon, the night she actually lost her virginity to him, I'd bet my life that she wouldn't have gone very far at all with Dave and would've chickened out of having sex with him all together.  She was still in love with Sheldon.  And wasn't all that interested in Dave anymore anyway.  She hesitated in calling him and second guessing herself in that moment before doing so.  Remember, Amy's always been "all talk" and when she faces the action, she gets all nervous.

Now MAYBE, over several months or more, then yeah, she would've either started a serious relationship with Dave and eventually sleep with him or found someone else.  

But it sure as hell wasn't gonna happen during Earworm.  Her actions in Opening Night tell you she wouldn't have.

You might be right,but eh...they got back together, that is what writers wanted most viewers to remember. But  overall, I didn't laugh at/ with Shamy as a couple this entire season. 

Anyone else feel that Shamy were funnier in season 8 ? I'm not talking about relationship 'progress' but just fun couple stories- all the scenes like optimizing anxiety in the lab, doing fun with flags, wearing costumes, making the Mars video, doing basket weaving, writing Dr. Who+ LHOP fan fiction, making a fort, doing experiments on others and so on.....it was.....idk.... nice and different. Even the ILY was quite nicely done(alien parasite n all).  Hopefully that comedy aspect returns in season 10, for all characters, not just shamy. This is after all, a sitcom, at the end of the day.
