I have the impression of having read a fanfiction when reading the TR.

Thank you Kazzie ! This is finally the end !!! And I can wait to see them with their passionate kisses.

I was worried when I read Amy asked an other date with Dave ! But I don't care now with this end !!

I don't understand why all this happiness. I mean, OK they're back together, but:

1. Sheldon interrupting Amy in a date... Oh, they did it AGAIN. Hello, imagination anybody?

2. It only takes e ILY and a kiss to fix 8 episodes of break up. I was pretty much afraid during the whole break up that we get a " all that just for that " . OK, now it is exactly what happened. But knowing I was right from the beginning doesn't make me happy, it's quite the contrary.

Doesn't mean the making up part is over. For all we know a discussion of their issues is still coming.

At least, Sheldon now realises all the things Amy do for him. And I think he will be less selfish and there will be more intimacy. He has learnt.

I hope so. Thrillled though I am that it appears Sheldon and Amy are back together - and hopefully for good this time! - I believe this still needs to happen. This episode all seems a little open yet... not finished.

Now that they are back together (how cool is it to type those words out?!) I can see a bit of a turn around with the intimacy issues, Sheldon being more open and willing but Amy being more hesitant.

Just cus they have to drag it out a bit

The most infuriating aspect of this storyline is that an honest conversation on their anniversary could have prevented the whole mess.  At every step along the way, simple communication could have turned everything around.  I hope we either witness a true exchange about past mistakes and future plans, or at least learn somehow that they have had such a discussion.

I don't really think the writers consider there were serious issues between Shamy. The main purpose of this breakup seems to be showing Sheldon's growth. Now they've completed that task.

Like Sheldon sees the lyrics and thinks of Amy?! He really is becoming a lot more mature since the breakup. The old Sheldon wouldn't even understand what the lyrics means or he would laugh and finds it hippy-dippy. No he can relate to the lyrics and understands that Amy has made him a better man. That's HUGE for Sheldon.

Anyway, my 2 cents:

- THIS IS SUCH A FANFIC SCENARIO I CAN'T DEAL WITH THE CUTENESS!! amazing lolll

- I love that Sheldon is finally having that epiphany! And from what Kazzie describes it all sounds so lovely. awww

- Amy hesitantly going on another date with Dave surprised me but I guess it makes enough sense to not be mad at that.

- As for people disappointed that we didn't get ~the talk~: 1) Just because it didn't happen right now doesn't mean that they'll never have it, 2) and even if they never have that talk on screen I think the writers left us with enough bits and pieces that show they work on their issues. All through the season we've been dissecting all the twists and turns and meaningful dialogue. And yes, it would be nice to get a bit of a summary in which the characters tell us what we already know, but I wouldn't be mad if we don't get it at all either.

- I mean, I do think that over the course of the season many, if not most, issues have been brought up in one way or another. It just didn't came in form of a lecture by Amy and in fact Sheldon seems to have figured it out all by himself. I think this is exactly the kind of huge step both of them needed. Amy can't be the one to always teach him about how to be a better boyfriend, and Sheldon needed to grow up a bit to be a better partner for Amy. Yes, the breakup was painful for them and for us but I don't think we would have gotten here with just a conversation. There's something more profound about him coming to that realization himself and reaching that level of understanding than just being told "hey, this is what you do". Because we've been there plenty of times, rinse and repeat!

- Anyway... HOT MAKE OUT?!?? omg

- This is the anniversary of Flaming Spittoon - I kinda like the homage of Sheldon ruining yet another date to step up his game. lmao I mean, yes, been there done that, but this is intentional, so I'm okay with this. Also, Dave cheering them on is a hilarious twist! ALL HAIL, DAVE! BLESS YOUR SHAMY SHIPPER HEART! <3

 

All in all: CHRISTMAS HAS COME EARLY!! LET'S TURN THIS INTO THE SHAMY PARTY THREAD!!!
