koops Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Sheldon as an asshole is necessary to justify the breakup. That's the bottom line. There could have been 300 different scenarios to take that plot from the finale in but they are going with whatever provides the biggest justification for the split and for dragging out as long as possible and for giving Amy a reason to go out and look for another boyfriend. Three episodes in a row of hammering home the same point, something that has never happened before on a show where stuff gets wrapped up and swept under the carpet in a minute. It also makes me wonder whether there have been some major rewrites between CC and here because literally nothing adds up anymore. All that talk about Sheldon's growth and progress and we get three episodes of this. And I wonder what the reasoning behind this weird mismatch between interviews and episodes might be. But then again... why do I care! LOL! I am actually SHOCKED that I literally joked to the girls in chat last week saying "Can you imagine if they have a Shenny makeout dream in Leonard's dreams?" as in.. that would be the most absurd thing ever, and they actually went ahead and did just that. I always praised this show for never lowering itself to doing this kind of fanservice and yet they went ahead and did it. I guess 9 years in, ideas start running out, uh?Well, like I said, this is looking just like something that I have no interest in following anymore. I won't be watching any of the episodes until I hear Shamy are back together AND I'll only start watching again and catch up if they haven't completely destroyed them in the interim (which, given these eps, I'm not too hopeful about). But I definitely won't be investing time sitting and waiting for it to happen. This was never what I watched this show or pairing for, and I have no interest to start now.
