Sometimes I don´t understand this like system. First I´m allowed to give a few (and I´m speaking of 2 or 3), but then suddenly I can´t give likes anymore, because I´ve already spent my 100 likes for today. So frustrating!

I really hope that we get to see Shamy spending the night at Sheldon´s. It would be so heart-melting to see them laying in Sheldon´s bed, spooning, while his head rests right next to hers and they just speak about several things. Or they just hum "Darlin" together while they slowly fall asleep.

Since I've hung up my writing gloves.... would someone please write a one shot of what happens AFTER Amy kicks the door shut AND... what happens in bed after they lean in for that super sweet kiss???????????????????  ( yes, I'm asking for the behind the scenes stuff !)

I don't think we could do it justice, until we've actually seen the episodes.

While looking for a HQ version of that trailer I found this article on the 'International Business Times' website:

http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/big-bang-theory-season-9-fall-finale-sheldon-amy-spend-their-first-night-together-episode-11-1533038

Nothing we haven't really seen before but I thought I'd share anyways :)

Oh thank you!!!! I hadn't seen this one before :)

The staircase chat between the girls is hilarious!!!

Love how tender he looks!!! And so ready!! Cannot believe just a few more days. But watching earworm at least 10x has been a dream already

And for those questioning whats ok and not ok to post I will give you an example. When they did the People photo shoot I took pics from my phone from the magazine cause I got an early release copy and posted them here and they were removed and I got a PM from the monitors as it wasnt ok and not official. Exact same situation of reposting a tv video of something as while yes its on CBS it wasnt intended to be reproduced aka taped, same as People Magazine and the photos. So Vomar's warning is accurate.

Also before you copy and paste things from sites credit should always be given to the original source whether its a doctored pic, a photo or even fanart. Its only fair and you'd want it in return if it was you.

What Vonmar is right..you need to be careful about that.  If it has not been officially released by CBS PR, then even if it is aired by them, it is not considered "officially released".  And once released, they are ALWAYS sole copyright owner and need to be stated as so.   Just because no one said anything, CBS can months even years later pursue a copyright violation.  It is very important to be error on the side of caution when dealing with anything that comes from an originating source (CBS, WB, Getty Images, etc.).   There are lots of materials online about copyright use of material and what is and is not considered acceptable, especially when being posted on the internet.   You might want to read up on it.

By the way, there have been recent lawsuits about copyright violations by fans creating fan videos using images and music that they posted on Tumblr recently in the press.  Tumblr has been reporting violations so again, err on the side of caution or you may find you could end up with a hefty fine or settlement.  Those that were sued thought that just taking down their fan video would be sufficient, but the studios pursued it because it had been up and viewed by several viewers before it was taken down.... and well... they learned a very hard lesson.

It's all about the SHAMY love, isn't it?   We just cannot help ourselves.

This is all so confusing, and I don't understand the copyright legalities, how, or when something is subject to fair use.   Even in your signature, you have some beautiful Shamy gifs displayed.    What about our Avatars?     What makes those the exception and how is a fan of the show, who means no harm whatsoever or is even promoting the show supposed to know the difference?   They are not seeking money or credit, but just enjoying the fandom.

What about all the videos on youtube, that I for one, enjoy watching over and over again?

In essence, aren't all of our FF and comments on this forum a violation of copyright law?   Do we have the TBBT's permission to expand the universe they created through our own creative writing?

There are many ways to express oneself, and sometimes we use similar words in our comments that perhaps another has also made because people do think alike.   How does one not come back and accuse another of stealing an idea if in fact it is original to someone who just happened to formulate the same thought process and put it in writing?

This world is full of billions of people and surely ideas have been repeated time and again.   It's a wonder we have been able to enjoy creativity at all when it seems the world is so "sue happy." So, with that in mind, should I refrain from commenting even on this forum because someone could come back and say that "I stole the words out of their mouth" because I expressed myself in a similar manner using similar vocabulary.    Should I take down my FF creation to protect myself?

Where exactly is the balance between the rights of the creator, those on a public forum who are interested in that creation, and one's right to freely express themselves without being accused of infringement on someone else's work, idea, or thought?

Perhaps this calls for the creation of another thread, because I am sure I am not the only one on here with these questions, but as the Shamy shippers have gone crazy and seem to be drawing a fine line on the use of copyright materials, perhaps this is where this belongs for now so all are thusly informed.

It seems everyday, we put the creators of this forum and ourselves at risk by the things we post.

Actually I'd like to see the other way around.

Sheldon realizes he can't wait for another year to get intimate but he's too shy or he doesn't really know how to ask. So he tries to seduce Amy, of course in his quirky, scientific way. Like maybe he googles how to be sexy and tries to show Amy but fails gloriously. And Amy's so confused. She's like "are you okay?". This should be hilarious and can end the boring&annoying discussion about whether Sheldon is asexual/does he have desire towards Amy permanently.

This idea has been stuck in my head for days. I even wrote a fanfic about it. Sadly my English is poor so the fanfic is really bad.

THIS.  I would really love to see this.  I just hope above all else that we are done with Amy begging or cajoling in anyway for Sheldon to show her his love, affection or desire for her.  End of story, never again please, writers.  Been there, done that, got the heartbreaking t-shirt to prove it.  Let's have something better from the two of them.

Sign me up for that as well!

Idk if there's anything in that direction in the next episode but I've actually wondered how Sheldon would've broached the subject of his special birthday present if the girls hadn't spilled the beans to Amy. He looked like such a nervous little puppy in the EW bit.

That´s an important point you are bringing up here, Jena!

I guess as long as no one raises a finger, no one of us is aware of the risks, that we take if we upload, videos, gifs or even fanfiction.

But I´m sure the writers and the whole cast is aware that they can´t control every single foto someone post somewhere. I mean even the actors, spread information and fotos of settings. So many of the fans might think (I guess), that if the actors spread fotos over the world wide web than it´s not a big deal to post fotos as well. But this tolerance towards the fandom is also a good way to merchandise their show for free, so maybe that´s why Molaro and the others don´t put an end to it and prohibit any dispersion of information about the show.

I think the dispersion of fanfiction is tolerated more than the dispersion of fotos or videos, because the writers get some ideas they could use for future episodes or even titles and that for free. Plus, we are living in a world where we are free to express our opinions and thoughts, so if someone forbid or cropped that right, they would built up a worldwide protest movement.

Nevertheless, it´s always a play with fire.

Yeah this fine line of copyright law vs. what is okay to post makes me reluctant to share promo pics or really anything... I wondered if I should take down that post? I don't quite understand the whole thing since manipulated photos/fan art is posted in lots of places but I took a screenshot (and I realize I inadvertently cropped off the CBS logo, whoops... I didn't even think of that!) from a CBS promo someone posted and I'm just really confused about what is okay to post. And as far as crediting, when I use reaction gifs and I have them saved (so unless there's a signature I'm not sure of the source!), is it not okay to use them without a credit? Can someone kinda break this down in really specific terms since now I'm paranoid? lol

Almost all of what we allow is based on the idea of fair use.  The rules that govern what can and can't be posted, can be found here.   As I am not currently a moderator, I can only give you the guidelines that were used for removing a post or parts of a post.

Videos:

Links to full videos or those that have anything more than a short clip of a full video have to be linked to their original source.  For most of TBBT official videos, that means you have to link to CBS, WB, or the official YouTube channel or Facebook page for CBS and TBBT.   Just because it has been released by CBS, does not mean it can be linked to another source.   For example.  CBS releases a promo on it official site.  Links to private You Tube or IG accounts, for that video, are not allowed.  It has to come from CBS.

We understand that this could be a problem for our international members, as they can't always see videos on official sites.   That's because CBS owns the rights in North America.  It does not always own the rights in other countries and those that do own the rights in other countries have to allow the link to CBS.  Please do not post links that bypass these restrictions.  We also do not allow links to streaming sites that bypass broadcast restrictions, please do not post those, or answer posts from users who ask for those links.

Interviews have to be linked to the source.  If it is ET, it has to be a link to an ET site.  If it's Variety, it has to come from the Variety site.

We allow short clips (usually a scene) from a full episode (say, Sheldon arriving at Amy's while Dave is there), from YouTube, but even those could be limited.  Promo are a particular sore spot.  As those are usually 30 seconds, they can be put up on a private Instagram account.  WE DO NOT ALLOW LINKS TO PROMOS ON PRIVATE IG ACCOUNTS.

For print or on-line articles:

The link has to go to the site, again if it's Variety or The Hollywood Reporter, the link has to be to the originating site.    After acknowledging the source, and providing the link, two to three sentences from the article are allowed.  We do not allow the full article to be copy and pasted  on this site, no do we allow pictures of the article to be posted.

As for GIFs and/or Screenshots.  A screenshot or a motion GIF, with three or so pictures, is allowed under fair use. And, as always, if there is any question as to whether something is allowed to be posted or not, a PM to Tripper would be appropriate.

If there are any questions, please do not ask them here, it's not really on topic.  Send me a PM or ask a question in the "Question for Tripper" thread in the site.

I about died watching this.  Hilarious!   To think, I didn't even know who this guy was until TBBT!   Now he's more famous than ever, and I want to know more.

Whoever decided to cast him as Amy's date was a genius.   Sheldon's "competition" is probably the favorite guest star on the show now, at least to the Shamy fans.

I'm close to using it as mine as well. Can they make more? I think that all of you talented people should make us siggies to so we can pick and choose. We need an official PICK YOUR SHAMY SIGGY THREAD. Haha.

I think I'm in love. I also loved when he lip synced to a DJ Jazzy Jeff song on Jimmy Fallon once. He doesn't mess around. LOL.

Thinking again about 9.10 (like I'll ever be able to stop!)  Something has just touched me about the door scene since I saw it and I thought more about what it is.  Sheldon says if Amy wants to be his girlfriend again, he really wants to be her boyfriend (loving the word really here like someone else already pointed out.)  Then she says she really wants that, too.  So they both agree, he's got his girl back.  But then what does he do?  He says "Good, because I love you."  He just needs to say it.  He needs her to know how he feels.  Without prompting.  And just maybe he needs to hear it back.  Oh my feels.  I love this Sheldon so much.

Well I just saw the official preview for Opening Night Excitation on YouTube (CBS official Big Bang Channel).

CBS has officially laid to rest the whole "is Sheldon asexual?" Discussion!!!!

I am so amused by all the people in the comments (and not just on youtube) going like "Nahh, they'll chicken out! They won't do it!" LMAO

I´m still wondering what this look meant:  was it dripping from above? Was he trying to resolve some mathemathical formulas? Did he hear some inner voices?

I don´t know, but I laugh every time I see this scene.

We definitely need to open a Stephen Merchant (Dave Gibbs) thread.

If we fill enough pages, maybe the writers will pay attention and think of a way to introduce him into the cast or decide to write a new show or sitcom for him. Or how about a movie with Stephen Merchant as main character?
