I have to say, I should stop reading these interviews because they're frankly putting a damper on my excitement for tonight's episode. I guess I never learn not to bother reading them! Happy thoughts, koops, happy thoughts.

- On a similar note: It's funny that for all the wanting of a few Shamy-light episodes the moment it happens the knee jerk reaction is "but not like that!" even though their Skype scenes sound really sweet and funny. Let's face it: We're a bunch of spoiled brats right now after this massive pile of Shamy goodness that was the reconciliation trilogy. So now we have two episodes where Amy is away - she'll be back soon enough and we'll get them in the same room again. Who knows what'll happen then??

- Star Wars character interview thingy: Jar Jar?? Mayim, that was just rude! LMAO (Gosh, these two are adorable - more please!)

I have to say, I don't know if it is because I still wear my pink glasses for the "Shamy's trilogy" and so I'm still in the "Everything is beautiful and I love you all" mood, but I was not bothered by the interviews; actually, I liked very much the "good" parts in them (like Molaro speaking of the most significative moments for Shamy and teasing about the RA) and just ignored the parts that could have rained on my parade, since they seemed to me just  a way to tease the audience and keep them watching. As for Shamy being apart, the 9.12 Skype calls sounded so cute and tender that I almost prefer something like that to have the couple in the same room; I won't call it a Shamy light episode, they admit that they miss each other and the part about the asteroid is very romantic (even if it is just a rock in the space) and implies that Sheldon is not scared by children and, actually, plans them. 9.13, for me, it's the first real Shamy light episode this season and, apart from Mayim schedule that may (or may not, we actually are just speculating) have prevented her from being available that week for work, it made sense Amy was out of town for the episode to play as it did. If other episodes of this sort will appear in the next future, it's about time for the other characters to have their own stories; the ring is out there and sooner rather than later it will appear again. Anyway, I told this yesterday, I like the fact that there's something different to long for, I like so much this couple for their ability to raise expectations, and, once the main expectation ever will be fulfilled in few hours (still can't believe it), it's good to hope (and to desire for some time) for something new...

I agree, guys! I'm trying to focus on the good parts too now, and stop zooming in on what might sound slightly negative. I really like everything Chuck had to say about it, because he really looks at it as a progression and natural growth through the seasons, and he keeps emphasizing that, and how it's natural for THEM to have reached this point. I like how his statements speak to how stories take on a life of their own and while you might start in one place and with one idea, the combination of the actors embodying these characters, their chemistry, and the cumulative effect of little events over time, can take you places you didn't expect because they take on a life of their own. As much as I'm a huge fan of planning and consistency and continuity, I also think that this is a healthier approach to take than to stubbornly stick with something that doesn't quite fit anymore, sort of like they did with HIMYM. 

I liked very much hearing that the RA might be back, although I surprised myself by realizing that it doesn't really matter to me anymore. I am a huge fan of the RA, I always thought it set them apart from other couples, but at the same time I kind of struggle to reconcile the current Sheldon, who seems to have embraced his relationship again with such abandon, with an RA. Steve said he thinks Sheldon will probably want one, but I can't really see him fit with that unless it's to do with the more mundane aspects of the relationships, like schedules and rituals and anniversaries and date protocols and emergency provisions and what not. I was happy to hear that in his head Amy would either be ok with that or be very much involved in the development, rather than have a scenario where Sheldon demands limitations and Amy is exasperated. I always felt like the RA was something she very much had a hand in and liked to use, but it is true that it was generally more skewed in Sheldon's favor given that he was the one who originally drafted it in its entirety. It would be great to see them sit down and actually write the new one together from scratch. 

Once again, to me the most important thing is that Sheldon and Amy are on the same page, whatever that page might look like. I was not a fan of the breakup, but I would be even less a fan of it if it all amounted to nothing and we were back on square one. If the breakup served the purpose to put them BOTH back on the same page, then I will be much pleased.

I know it sounds stupid, but when Amy walked into her bedroom, she had her glasses on, and when she was sitting in her bed, she didn´t wear them, so I guess Amy is short-sighted, right? Because she could find Sheldon´s face easily and I guess if she would be long-sighted, she would see everything that is right in front of her eyes unclear. Otherwise she would have left her glasses on, because I don´t think that she wants to miss any details of her first time, because she doesn´t see clear enough. Even if I must say, that it would be cute, if she bumped into Sheldon from time to time and apologizes.

Imagine Sheldon is under the blanket between Amy´s legs and wants to satisfy her, when she suddenly hits him with her knee, asking what that was.

Sheldon reappears, rubbing his head saying: "I was trying to inflame your loins."

Amy replies "Ok, go ahead" and smiles happily, while Sheldon disappears under the blanket again.

I love that Sheldon brings it out of Amy ... her real weirdo self ... and Mayim's scenes with Jim really bring that out in her acting too. Can't wait for tomorrow

I totally agree with all you have said here, mostly the bold part. I love Mayim, and the way she portrays Amy is excellent! The "when you give it to me?" promo couldn't be more perfect! I can't wait for this episode. Mayim and Jim's performance are always brilliant, but I think in this episode it will be outstanding!

Given their lovemaking seems to parallel the length of the SW movie, including opening & closing credits I'd say it is plausible.  If not for Sheldon, than Amy for sure.

not so sure if shes near-sighted either....she couldnt find Waldo very well without glasses in the competition with Leonard (though she DID find him before Leonard lol)

Haha I just have to reply to this because it's so cute! As a bearer of both glasses and contacts I can tell you that glasses during sex is not an option, for practical reasons. Her sight might not be too bad and in that case it's not a problem for her to go without while they're going under the covers.... I myself am blind as a bat and I need to wear contacts during... *ahem*...

Tell me about it.  This one line has got my creative juices flowing.  I cannot wait to write this episode out in my FF story, not because of the lovemaking, but the sex talk between them as they try to figure things out together.  It will be both humorous and endearing, all because this one line showed me just how to do it in such Shamy fashion.

You are right, I totally forgot about that! lol

Well, then it seems she is long-sighted, if she has problems to see things that are right in front of her eyes, like this find Waldo book.

There are also different stages of far-sightedness.

Clumsy sex would be cute somehow I don´t know why!

Thank you for insight view as a wearer of glasses! I don´t think that she is blind as a bat either, but if I were her, I would at least wear contacts like you, because I wouldn´t want to miss anything about my first time.  But well, who knows, maybe she put on some contacts, before she climbed into her bed. I´m curious, it´s a pitty that I can´t ask the writers or Mayim about it! It would be interesting to know.

Thanks.  I thought Mayim was referring to herself.  I didn't see the interview as it one of those that says video not available.  

By the way, I just had this conversation with my hubby.

Hubby:  I'm surprised that Big Bang Theory isn't doing anything Star Wars related.

Me:  Actually, they are.

Hubby:  But aren't Sheldon and Amy going to have sex?

Me:  You'll see how it all fits in.  

Hubby:  Spoiler?

Me:  Not saying anything more.
